@@RichMitch I learned my lesson not to listen to the hype when I bought a certain plum-scented perfume. It's better to listen from a trusted source. I agree synthetic is not a big no-no

Totally agree with you on Dior's Sauvage Edt. You should get Elixir of which some say is the niche version. In my opinion that is the best from the line. Great video, Rich 🦆👌

Montale's Fruit of the Musk. Oh god. Oh god, and it wouldn't wash off and was so strong.
A couple from Jeroboam. Anything dumped in a bottle then amped up, Nope.
Coupleof those Jusbox. Nope. Gave the decants away.
Narciso Rodriquez For Him. Got a decant of the newer stuff. Strange opening, then 15 minutes of something lovely,
then hours of that cheap musk, and it wouldn't die down, it just kept coming back.
One I love. Aramis Aramis. Just got another one, well two in a Chritmas gift set box.
An after shave and a cologne. 4 oz in both bottles for, drum roll, 25.
Have the After Shave on right now, and it's very good.
Another one I love; older Killian Back to Black.
Another , vinatage Bel Ami.

It's true. The scream nearly broke my screen. 😱 Drakkar Noir a bad sock? 😩🤣Nailed the mustiness though. I'll admit that I wasn't a huge fan the first couple times I wore it, but now I get this peculiar green cigarette ash in the mid that really takes me back to the pimpin' 80s. Ever gave the Legendary Cologne version of Caesar's Man a go?

@@RichMitchI'm not the biggest fan of Shalimar. I own it but never wear it. I own do huge bottle of Le Lion and thinking of backing it up before reformulations or another price increase. I truly do enjoy it. Almost leathery for me 😊

Highly entertaining, surprised at you not taking to Drakkar Noir, that was as popular as Kouros, Fahrenheit etc back in the day. However I still maintain the original Drakkar, not Drakkar Noir was a great summer fragrance.

can only really comment on 2 of these, but agree on those which are Drakkar and Sauvage, do not get n with either of these, however the sauvage copy Prada carbon is actually decent juice!
I haven't smelled that carbon but I've heard Ashton mention he prefers it too 🤔

Nice one ,Rich nothing worse than seeing a hyped fragrance,paying the piper asking price ,even if it’s a love ,then seeing it go for peanuts down the road . Soul destroying for sure ,then for example the classic picture of older bottle on site of purchase and when arrived to the door it’s the reform version,I harken to my goddam bottle of Loewe pour Homme that said I do really enjoy it reform and all ,the glass half full sort of attitude so yeah the ups and downs of the fragrance life lol cheers Rich 👍🙏✌️

Funny story, that Drakkar was the first gift my partner got me for Christmas the first year we were together dating because he knew a girl who liked to wear it. I was like ewwww!!!! I had never smelled it and I didn't like it. I gave it back to him. I ended up buying him the original Obsession because I love amber, spicy, patchouli in fragrance. We are still together despite his taste in perfume differs from mine. 😆- Jenn

2. BR540 just lol
3. FdB Sahraa Oud.. the blind praise this receives makes me question not only a person's taste but also their knowledge of fragrance.
4. Oudmazing by montale. This made me want to throw up. And you can't hardly scrub it off either.

@@RichMitch Well it smells like any body part gone bad, but I generally am not into dirty notes, I really like Rose in the man fragrancies for example Concrete from Comme des Garcons which also have a bad reviews but i adore it.
BTW, for anyone who cares about the rose as a note, Caron has a whole line dedicated to the rose, mostly targeted towards women. In that same line they have a scent called "Rose Ebene§ which is unisex, a mix of leather, rose and cocoa and this is really great.

How do you compare Guerlains Homme to Roadster? Both have mint.
Very different imo, homme has mojito and is boozy where as roadster is a little chocolatey and Appley with the patch

There are a few I hate tabbacco nuit from atelier cologne. It smells like old socks. Memo Irish leather, it has a strange juniper green twang just not pleasant. Xerjoff red hobba, so sweet, plastic smelling and in your face awful. Luckily they were all 2ml samples.
I wish all the stuff I hated was just samples ☹
@@RichMitch I’m careful with buying bottles - I blind buy quite a lot but I’m at the stage now where I can kind of guess I will like it. Vintage Creed vanisia was a recent blind buy and was a cracker

I never wore Rosendo Mateu No 5 because it smelled so terrible from the sample vial that I didn't even bother putting it on. Smelled like bubblegum and plastic.

@@RichMitch It is one of those fragrances that once you have smelled cypriol and tabanone, you realize it overdoses in them both, to the point that's all it smells of. Then to add to that, I am not a fan of either of those raw materials. So it's deeply personal. I can understand theoretically why people would love it though 🫂
