    Great video! I have imported w212 from USA in Europe, and the garage door function just does not want to adapt to the frequency of the garage door key.. any suggestions here ?

      That’s correct they run at different Hertz I think. Not so sure about it, but @luked272 may have the answer for it

      You need to buy aftermarket receiver with remote dedicated to USA Homelink version (315MHz). It costs in Poland 80E

    • @OrdinaryCarGuy
      @OrdinaryCarGuy 3 месяца назад

      @@luked272 i guess that it would be approximately the price for European rear view mirror with garage door buttons 😁 much appreciated!

      @@OrdinaryCarGuy i'm sure yess. But You have to be aware that not all garage door receivers will manage capricious Homelink design.. so You can buy EU mirror and it can happen that You also can't pair them with Your garage door remote and anyway You will need to buy aftermarket Homelink receiver this time for frequency 433MHz also for 80E :)

    Under the front light dome i think that there is an access to manipulate manualy the panoramic roof in case of need (Broken electric motor). Could you investigate It and make a tutorial?. I think It will be interesting have a B plan for closing the panoramic roof in case of an electrical problem.🤔
    Thanks

    If you have a mirror that does not auto dim, do you think that the cables are still there to connect one with auto dim? My car has a mirror that is manually switched but I want to replace it with one that auto dims. Thanks.

    • @luked272
      @luked272 3 месяца назад

      Of course... every mirror has power supply for under reading lights. Auto dimming, remote control etc. is supplied with power internally in the mirror itself using the same power supply.

    Do you have any idea on how to fix the reverse camera? Screen is just black when i put in reverse.

    • @luked272
      @luked272 3 месяца назад

      If You have original camera You need to check connection directly to camera in trunk lid (sedan) or tailgate (kombi) because quite often this connection and pins become green due to humidity.

    Did the same mod on my S205 recently, paid 110€ for the mirror, and it doesn't want to recognise my remote when I try to program it... 😫

      I heard about that could be a bit tricky! For time being I can’t code mine due to lack of electric garage door 🙃

    • @luked272
      @luked272 3 месяца назад +1

      It can be like that... You need to buy Homelink dedicated receiver with remote and then this receiver install to Your gate electrical box and remote from this receiver pair with Homelink remote in mirror

      @@luked272 Problem is, it's not my door, it's a huge shared underground parking, so it was kind of a gamble in the first place. All I could check beforehand was the frequency on the remote, and it seems to be in the supported range...
