Has there been any problems with the engine? There's a lot of talk concerning the balance shaft of the m272. Also has there been any oil leaks or problems with the intake manifold or thermostat? Appreciate it
@@Aldahr-zg9pji changed the balance shaft in my C350 W203 2007 recently and it was a great investment. Yes it has bad quality dents / gears on the shaft. Go find a reliable independent mechanic who used to work at the dealer or major workshops with these cars. Make him your friend. Your life will be easier.
I just bought a CLK 280 in mint condition . But it wont shift out of first . I would like to chech trans fluid level . I noticed you had a dipstick ? Does the CLK 280 have one for the trans ?

I have the s203 with 252,000 plus miles and the engine is perfect, just developed an auto gearbox fault that should be easily rectified, really can't fault the car at all.😊
I have c200 kompressor automatic. problem with draining battery is true. all auto mechanics I've talked when hear model of my car said : we would not even try to repair that )))
My battery drain is due to its alarm horn, which has a built in Nickel battery pack, gone bad. This alarm horn is hidden under the front wheel arch plastic cover. Mine is on the right side. The problem was solved after I removed the alarm horn which I did not replace with a new one.
Once over 130,000 miles, and still using the original cam adjustors, open the engine top cover to check cam adjustor sprocket. For my M271 the inlet cam adjustor had 21 of its 44 teeth broken & worn down to 20%. The exhaust cam adjustor its slightly worn but still all of its 44 teeth. 😂😂. Regards
As a owner of a plus 300 000 km 2003 w203 C320 a lot of the information here is UTTER RUBBISH! Rust and gearbox problems....NO. Suspension bushes wear after 20 years is normal!

The problems described on here are much the same as any other car. Early models had paint problems but this was rectified after 2004.

I have 05 c230 sport sedan and have had issues with rear suspension but some Megan racing parts and much better
