    Fascinating….. I never knew most of that. I have a 2006 C-230 I inherited at 56,000 miles in 2017. It now has 70,000 10/21 but I have spent $15,000 U.S. to get it in good shape. I have spent so much and it is running very well, but when I see all the multitude of complex systems it makes me nervous to think of all the potential repair issues that could develop!
    Some of the BIG fixes I had done were the ECM (engine control module $2,000 p&l) and the transmission control module (controls shifting $2,000 p&l) and the front torsion arms ($750 incl rubber bushing) plus many other items. I see now there must be many more computers I wasn’t even aware of. These features are nice but it makes my wallet quite nervous.

    By the way noticed that you’ve replaced the radio for a multimedia. Where have you got the wood-like colour frame? Or have you been able to retain the original? Been looking but haven’t found one.

      @@jaimemoura4802 ok so u only replace the double din area ...there use to be a single din unit and also a slot for accessories ...they were both removed but still needed a facia kit surround for the gap that would be there ... the wood grain surround stays there

    G'day mate! Thanks for this, ive had my 2002 C220CDI elegance auto for a year and didnt know most of these( you need a manual to tell you how to read the manual on my merc!)..im going to try and understand how to use the cruise control ...ive tried while driving and no joy ill watch the vid again and take notes!👍

    • @MIKEYZVLOGZ
      @MIKEYZVLOGZ  2 года назад

      oh ok well honestly it's pretty straight forward.. so u reach your intended speed and then u push up on the stalk that will set the speed pulling towards you will cancel and pushing down will reduce speed pushing it in towards the right will turn on the limiter so u can set a limit as to ne er exceeding a speed ...

      @@MIKEYZVLOGZ cheers buddy ill give it a go tomorrow! Also the passenger side wiper packed up which turned out to be the bearings on the wiper arm, ive bought a mercedes wiper arm bearing repair kit so we'll see how that goes too! One thing after another with 20+ year old cars but its a great car👍

      I really appreciate the comment ... I'm humbled by your words... I really do try do my best to ensure no questions after cuz wen I watch other ppls ..there's no explanation just showing the functions and sometimes ppl need an explanation ..so I pride myself in giving as much info as possible ..2014 e350 cabriolet noice!!!!! but truth is alot of these features are mercedes wide and most mercs have the same functions so eventhough u own another model u can always try and see what happens ..with that said sometimes its a tad different aswell
