Here's how I made some sound absorbent shoes from the Marvel movie Black Panther. These shoes use a variety of techniques to absorb sound allowing the user to walk without making hardly a sound.
The shoes include foam and soundboard to help dampen impact and distribute the weight, as well as a some aerogel nanotech insulation to help absorb even more sound. The shoes also feature a mechanism that lets them pop up onto the users feet simply by stepping on the soles. I also made some black panther retractable claws to go with it.

Not sure how well it would work, but you might be able to use an elastic fabric such as spandex (from stockings?) In junction with the band to keep the quick snap. As the fabric is quite thin I believe you'd be able to keep that snap action vs the slower roll that comes with the rubber shoe
the roll looks closer to the nano tech than just an instant snap, but would definitely be more comfortable, couple layers maybe would provide both positives

I don't know if this is possible, but I have a suggestion: the arms of octavius.
It's possible mechanically but I'm not so sure about financially for him. It also wouldn't be as smooth as hers or as lifelike.

@@Qtoryu Nah I don't think he meant like the neurological aspect of it but even if he did, it's not impossible. We already have technology in testing that has to do with the neuromuscular control of prosthetic limbs. It's definitely not anywhere near the level of Octavius' arms but we could see technology like it in the next 40 years or so. You did say "yet" so perhaps you did mean eventually we'd reach that but either way, I'm sure anyone with enough money and time could create something very interesting regarding that concept in this day and age.

If you mean the force field type shield that he uses when Hulk snaps the gauntlet, it's not possible and if it is humans haven't discovered how to do it yet. You could make something that looks similar, but it wouldn't actually work.

The way you do ANR without a transducer at the source is a phased array. You coordinate an array of speakers to mimic one speaker in a different location.

I personally think Jlaser is better than Mark Rober, especially because of the scrappy nature of his builds. Its not a robotic shoe with ANC, its a rubber band shoe with a foam, and yet works just as well.

Edit: As ShineorSomething pointed out Allen Pan did this and It came out awesome so I rescind this entry into the ideas to make.
Also, as I said in the comments, It's not that he can't do it, it's just that a request there is less likely to be picked up and Jlaser already had all the supplies and could probably do a mockup in a day with revisions on the weekend.

Growing up the floorboards at home would creek a lot. However after a lot of practice on weight distribution, I learned how to walk on them without making noise that anyone in the house could hear.
