So in theory they can take the Porsche if he used it as collateral for the Lambo. The question would be, how late do you have to be with their leases to be considered default on the payment to get the repo man rolling? They may have a lease that says 5 days late, we can come take a car or take the collateral you put up. For those who are criminals out there. To get a Bond you need collateral to cover the full bond before you can get it...its so the bonds man can take possession of your say vehicle if you don't show up to court and skip town. This way the bond company isn't out of money if you are a no show for court.
But the Porsche is also leased? How can he use a leased vehicle as collateral? This guy is living way beyond his means haha he doesn’t have enough cash coming in to do autopay. He has to manually wire the money every couple of weeks to cover his payments.
Actually dave, you're the one confused, all his cars are leased and he doesn't have equity in them. The way they talked about the circumstances makes it seem like a mistake was made in repossessing the car. No mistake was made the lease company owns multiple assets (Cars) in Garrett’s possession. Simple solution for Garrett to avoid this expensive mistake, tardiness and disorganization when it comes to payment - make a new account that you autopay your lease payments into, which a schedule you set, monthly in advance and the leasing company will direct debit/autopay out of that one specific bank account. They're going to get paid either way, might as well do it all automatically without the headaches of remembering if it's paid or not and the chance of a future repo. Banks usually need 1-3 days to transact their debits - however with the autopay setup, if the debit fails - it will notify the bank straight away. Thus, they can wait 1-3 days for a successful payment to come through autopay.
This dude is clearly trying scammy ways not to pay on time, knows the ins an outs of every non payment, every delay tactic, shuts his bank accounts down..
We all remember the Ponzi scheme. Just call this dude “Bernie” 😂. Seriously if your going to roll balls out then wtf have your shit handled. You got that much money. Have your side piece on the clock making those payments
I would love to see how Garrett would react if he lent substantial amounts of money and let them pay him back when it suited them. What do you think he would say the next time they wanted to borrow more? Common sense tells you when you sign a contract to pay on a specific date, that is what it means. You can have it come out before the due date but never after. Dave, cool head. Well done. Finance companies work on average days overdue over the term of the loan. If your average days overdue is too high, you shoot yourself in the foot because they also work on rate for risk and Garrett, you are headed for extremely high rates the next time or a decline. You can pull that back into line if there is still a couple of years to go by paying on time.
If you got money to pay for a car of that caliber, why pay late in the first place and risk any forfeiture? It pay on date per your agreement (with possible 3-5 days grace) but anything beyond that is the payees fault. Heck, bank doesn't necessarily have to contact you to remind you to make your payment, they'll be glade to take it back without notice. It's like telling kids to clean their room and they want to do it when they're good and ready. 🖐💥🤷♂️
That's BS. I used to pay for my car at the end of the month when I got paid, and the finance company did not stress me. If this leasing company is so anal for a late payment, like 1 or 2 days, then that's messed up. It's not like the owner had missed a payment of a month or so. Dick move.

I worked in a repo company before, the lady who told garrett to tow first then call her tomorrow is unprofessional. You need to call him directly first about the payment for warning, second call for follow up payment, if he didn’t pay next its towing. Also please don’t send email for payment not everyone looks at their emails to pay bills calling your clients are way better to inform them about payments. That is why I don’t lease cars, i rather buy them because at the end of the day the car is mine and i can maintain or sell them if i want to.
This is quite a comical video, guy admits he pays his lease "whenever" and then admits isnt paying on another car. Then wonders why the REPO man has arrived...lol
I agree! This guy clearly doesn’t have money. That’s why he has to close his account, stop autopay and manually wire them every time he has the money 😂
I'm going to play a little devils advocate here. First off, when bills are due pay them, you don't set the pay date the finance company does(asking you generally when you want your payment due.) Even though you are not 30 days late for a credit report hit they see you as a potential problem with a high dollar valued asset of theirs because they own the vehicle. They are probably emailing every month and tired of it and I bet if you reread the contract they have themselves covered. If you are flush with money and money is not an issue, pay your bills before the due date. Fairly easy. In my case I would have to ditch the GPS tracker because at over 4 G's a month I would have to live in it too.
he already explained he paid them before the due date, well he was late on the lambo but not the porsche , question being does a bank repo your other car if you are late on your another car?

Dick move.

Dave's approach VS Daymonds in this situation was night and day... Props dave handled that so well.
I’ve leased through luxury lease company before, they usually have a direct line you can call for any questions or info regarding your lease. It’s real easy to get a hold of them within business hours
You only get repo’d when the bank don’t get its money sounds like a financial issue to me
13 days ( not late on porsche)
11 days ( late on hurracan)
Make it make sense
Damn being a repo guy must be a tough fuckin job, respect to that guy.
Well if it’s 13 days late it’s late and if you’re doing that every month they’ll get pissed off with it
If he has a grace period before late fees and repo in the contract they shouldn’t.
@@728GTgrace periods are typically 10 days
@@728GT Maybe moral of the story pay on time don’t wait for a reminder
Dude said he checks that email address once every two weeks/not so often, but he's coincidentally managed to see the email from less than 24 hrs ago
14:28 is all you need to hear as to why they were there and considered 13 days late high risk
Damn so this is like Daily Driven Leased Exotics. Inflation be hittin i guess
Other than being a joke, that could have went so far left with the wrong person. I'm so glad I stay in my own lane.
This has to be one of the best videos of all time….
I remember watching it when it happened and and all the jokes with Garrett now are too funny
Brah… I’m sorry you had to call your boy out at the end of the video. Repo guy definitely watches your channel so that’s why he took forever (he wasn’t worried). Hope Garrett gets his ride back and starts paying on time. 13 days late on a supercar payment is grounds for a repo I guess.
Way to let everyone know they have a good 30 minutes to do whatever they want in your lot before anyone notices them hahaha
Im a repo man and appreciate this agent! This is how most repos go. Not fights and guns just conversations.
