Here my hometown it's San Bernardino County fire that provides 24/7 365 days service and there's still some uniforms and I think of least a couple of the stations that still say Victorville Fire Department San Bernardino took over like over in 2007 2008 and they've been great here I totally agree with cities and towns going with a County Fire Department.
Chris Maize yeah, here in fairfax county every station is staffed mostly by career firefighter's, however there are still some volunteer units. Most of the volunteer units are medic's
good thing there was no fire or medical emergency because we're just going to sit here in the driveway until someone is actually dead where the house has burned to the ground
They had to get in formation
@@blackspider9561 actually all the information is sent to their CAD, officer must have been slow to access it
@@charlesmock4053 I was just joking. What I meant was they were getting into formation. Lining up
Nice!
Alan Walker74 thanks!
Out of all three truck which one would you take to the call
I hate seeing lights activated before appliances are ready to move. In my experience, drivers get impatient and end up causing problems trying to get off the pad
i think its awesome
An original Roto Ray on the rescue. Turns slower than the newer ones.
Arpeggioshredder yeah this rescue is fairly old
In the beginning was that Medic 401
Sweet catch ! Do you know why they kinda just sat there for a second before they took off ?
Michael Smith I think since it was mutual aide, and into an area that they usually don't run into, the drivers were putting the address into their GPS. I'm not sure though.
coolairfax County Engine, Tower, and Rescue Squad 401
Ramsey love thanks!
you are welcome
I live in Arlington this fire station is next to a hardware store
JBL yeah it's in McLean, which is right outside of Arlington
How come all three trucks have different paint schemes?
Brian 3 since this station used to be volunteer the rescue and engine still wanted to paint their rig like it was still volunteer. The tower, however got the paint for a regular Fairfax County Fire and Rescue unit. All theses units are staffed 24/7/365 by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue firefighter's however.
Brian 3 that might be a bit hard to understand, if you need any more info I'll be glad to try to help explain!
hldtrm Hey thanks for the reply and letting me know... Nice looking station
Brian 3 no problem! Thanks for watching!
Brian 3 yes and sometime soon Tower 401 will get a new rig and R401 will also be getting a new county owned Rescue
Nice turn out, I wonder why the long time lapse from sitting on station to actually moving onto the road..
Peter Burton not sure my guess is since it was an area that they don't usually run into they were putting it into their GPS.
You may be correct, but here we at least start driving in the general direction to save time and it usually takes no more than 20 seconds to put it in a GPS.. 1min 40 secs to actually move just seems a tad too long..
Peter Burton yeah I don't know why they say there for so long
What a slow roll out of the trucks a snail could move faster
did anyone notice the storm in the background
Dakota Hoes it was like a tropical storm 10 minutes before this response it had just stopped raining.
hldtrm thanks for the info
fairfax volunteer?
why not sit for a minute then race out of there..........
Russell Pedersen I think since it was a mutual aide call, in in area that this stations hardly ever runs in, they were putting the address into their GPS. I'm not sure though.
tankeryanker2194 haha no there definitely wasn't
Russell Pedersen I’m thinking it was more like they heard the call in a neighboring area, knew they’d get called, mounted up and waited for the dispatch.
James Coakley I'll side with that
