We all know that Lincoln's father is Joe
Wait what????
@@scottleadbeatter6890 watch the end of this video
I Don't Think So.
@@joshuakausmann6570 they said Joe, not Vito
"During the Vito side mission 'I need a Favor' Vito tells Lincoln that he needs a Favor."
Favorite line of the video.
Can't believe people actually thought the guy at the end wasn't Joe. No reason the camera would've been kept on him for so long (got all that screen time) if it wasn't a nod or easter egg or whatever to someone important lmao
Especially when you look at Joe in the Mafia 2 definitive edition, he looks exactly the same as the driver.
bruh how the fuuuckk we know it's him? it's a fuukking Cartoon
The one mf i saw long time ago even said "it's Fan service"
lmao it doesn't matter if it's fan service. the only point is that joe is alive
@@joemar7121mafia 3 got a lot of unnecessary hate in general
@@joemar7121right like what’s that logic if it’s fan service then it would have to be joe
Personally I like how they handled Joe, it’s sad that Vito and Joe can never reunite unless they wanna be sleeping with the fishes, I think a lot of people who wanna see Vito and Joe reunite don’t understand that they can’t unless they wanna get whacked, Leo knows that Vito and Joe together cause a lot of problems so that is why they can’t reunite, and I like it this way because it’s not a happy ending for the two, much like most mob flicks
I Personally Think Both Of Them Will Reunite In Mafia IV, I Mean, It's Literally The "GTA 6" Of The Mafia Franchise, Everyone Wants That To Happen, Hell, Even Tommy Could Return If They Really Wanted To. (Like Making A Story Of How He Survived The Executi0n, But I Personally Don't Like It).
@@RUclipsHatesJapaneseLetters96🤣 I’m sorry man reading this made me laugh
@@coreycasciano3255 he is right...Tommy is actually a zombie boss fight in Mafia 4 Undead Mobs DLC

@@Hardcord6 I’d try it lol
Damn, Vito Scaletta took over Mafia Game Videos' channel.
LOL
Exactly what I thought too. I was like “did Mafia Games Videos’ just paid Rick Pasqualone on cameo to explain what happened to Joe?”
@@Don_Shoeshine me too
Yo fr
Man, i would kill for a video when he speaks on Paulie's or Ennio Salieri's voice. (I mean Paulie/Salieri from the original Mafia game, not the remake)
I knew it was joe for a FACT just the way he stopped for a second looked up at lincoln(the camera which is like us basically) and then kept going all while the camera panned slowly on him. If you know cinematography and making a scene you know little things like that can mean something significant. The facial scars only proved it because why would they specifically make someone with the exact facial scars as Joe and also doing the camera things at the end. It’s all to coincidental
They wanted to make Vito think Joe is dead.
They probably told Joe the same thing about Vito in his car ride.
“Sorry kid, Vito wasn’t part of the deal.”
@@DarknessOfRedbone lol except joe would of lost his mind and made the car crash
I mean rewatch that scene the car scene at the end of mafia 2 focus on Joe it looks like they are talking him and one of Leo’s men and Joe looks disappointed and sad, I hope I wasn’t only one noticing but they keep moving their heads and leaning towards each other like they talking so it can be that and remember Joe is kinda injured from chapter 14 so I don’t think he has energy to go kill everybody after he killed his former boss Falcone he has nowhere else to go now but to listen to them and join them and his is aware the commission wants him dead too he was a hothead yea but he wasn’t stupid. Sad in mafia 3 he looks traumatized 😔.
I never believed Joe was dead for many reasons most notably that he is a great soldier & perfect muscle. Too good to be wasted. Leo obviously replaced Vito with Joe as his prodeje. This story does need complete closure. I hope they do it finally in future games. But if they do, I hope they get the original voice actors to reprise these characters. I know Robert Costanzo is up there in age but I hope he would step off the sidelines one more time to play Joe again.
Joe wasn't worth that much stress if you think about it😅😅😅
Leo didn't replace Vito they knly reason he kept Joe alive was tl repay the debt he woed vito by keeping Joe alive
Just original voice actor for Joe scream "scared asshole?"
Finally a video that presents real evidence, and not just comparing scars and kinda similar facial features. You literally changed my mind I finally believe it was Joe. :D
Yay, thank you!
The ending to Leo and Joe's friendship is so sad but to me it feels like Joe finally grew up and learn to not be a loud mouth
Leo and Joe's friendship?
Mafia 2 ending still haunts me it was so brutal 😭
What's funny- In Beta version it's most likely was not supposed to be ending. After that chapter we was supposed to getting what of 3 possibles epilogues.
@@lilslavyt9696 they planned on having 4 endings in the games but apparently the writer is keeping those for himself
Yeah, but then they decided to s%1t on that ending in Mafia 3... apparently for some reason Leo decided to exile his protegee and friend Vito and to take Joe as his personal chauffer/bodyguard.
And me with nuuude mode exploring 13th chapter ahh😭😭😭
That actually makes a lot of sense with Vito's anger towards Leo Galante by the time of Mafia III. He ended up considering this deal Leo made a betrayal, even if it saved him and Joe's life.
We need a closure for Joe & Vito story, just like in Mafia II we had a closure for Tommy. Really hope, Mafia 4 would close this, and open the franchise to it's own future. But, even though i'm happy Joe is alive, the end of Mafia II was 😳🥺😭 unforgettable!!!
Technically Vito is the new Sal Marciano since I believe that is the canon ending. I feel like they’ll meet at Leo’s funeral why he would make the most sense to be honest
I played DE, so maybe I'm mistaken, but didn't Mafia one have the same epilogue/closure for Tommy, with the only real difference between one and two being who's perspective you're seeing it from?
Reuniting with people you haven't seen for decades isn't unusual in real life.
The next logical step for the franchise would be the '70s-'80s era of excess before Gotti got done.
Given these character's shared history, there's a perfect opportunity for a great finale to their story here. Despite how old they look in Mafia III, Vito and Joe were only in their 40s. You could have them re-unite in the 1980s, both in positions of power to take revenge, they start whacking people, start a mob war, and end up being instrumental to bringing the American Mafia to it's knees and putting 'Gotti' in prison. This also gives the opportunity for branching storylines and tensions between Vito and Joe in how they go about things, with the possibility of them turning on each other.
Regardless of how they do it, we actually have a precedent for Vito and Joe re-uniting and it's from one of the greatest mob films of all time: Once Upon a Time in America.
They could even make a nod to it by starting the game with a hand putting down a glass of whiskey, picking up the phone, and hearing Joe's voice say "It's me Vito. It's really me. We'll get to that. We gotta talk.", then later find out that Joe's original plan was for Vito to kill him.
Vito and Joe deserve a reunion
Id like to think that when Vito was still in the Army, in mid/ late 1944 Joe went to New Bordeaux and met Lincolns mother and about a year later in 1945 Lincoln is born!
I speak for everyone when I say nobody actually knows if Joe was Lincoln's father. But he IS alive and that's that.
Who else considers the Vito ending of 3 canon
It make the most sense out of all the endings as Burke and Cassandra just end up fucking up everything that Lincoln built along with the former dying in a gang war in the 80’s.
What’s the Vito ending
@@Leshxwn you don't mind spoiler alert (well, it's a 2016 game)? He carried on Don Marcano's wish and turned New Bordeaux into a city that can compete with Las Vegas. Given he probably learned a thing or two about being a boss from Leo Galante, the guy he used to idolize then despised post Mafia II ending.
Lincoln leaving NB is definitely canon because that was his plan before the Marcano betrayal. However I don’t see Burke, Vito and Cassandra coexisting at all
Vito’s ending is pretty awesome. He gets all the money he wants and is set for the rest of his life.
I think it's true that Eddie Scarpa was tortured and killed.
I Personally Think He Skipped Town, Or Took Over The Falcone Family Or Something Like This.
Wow. This video narrated by Vito is 💎 Thanks a lot!
is it actually?
@@lemonsoda326 yeah, Rick Pasqualone has account on cameo, where you can ask to read/talk anything you ask them to (unless it's something vulgar, obviously).
Such a great story. It's a whole movie. Thank you for explaining everything so well!
Wow perfect time for this video. Just finished playing Mafia 2 for the first time
My version of Mafia III would have started with the protagonist (a detective) examining the bodies of Carlo Falcone and Joe Barbaro right after the events of Mafia II in the prologue. You then play in New Bordeaux, where you become corrupted after a few missions, and it flashes forward to the 1960s, and the plot revolves around JFK, you also initially investigate Vito but work with him in a mission. What could have been.
I Prefer The Original Mafia III, Best Vibes Ever.
@@RUclipsHatesJapaneseLetters96 There was definitely a lot of room for improvement in its repetitive mission design
Sounds like your describing a bit of la noire
@@ceylebblower6222100%, I consider it to be the closest alternative to Mafia II in a way
So basically the original intent for Mafia 3?
Great video. Put a lot of things together that I was wondering myself.
Man thats a better storyline than the entirety of mafia 3
Finally you covered this one. But I can't get the feeling of what happened. Joe wasn't part of the deal and then became Leo's bodyguard?? Also I like to think that Joe isn't aware about Vito either rather than not wanting to contact him, they were such a good duo, reliable one another till the end.
They wanted Vito to think Joe is dead. Joe probably thinks the same about Vito
@@Talking_He4d but imagine the twist: after so many years Vito and Joe find one another somehow through Lincoln, so that Tommy>Vito,Joe>Lincoln have a legacy 🥺 we can only dream
@@Talking_He4d yep
That’s was I was thinking they was childhood friends and would take a lie together to the grave literally but why Vito think he is dead if joe work for leo
I think they should have reunited in a mafia 3 DLC where Joe goes to look for Vito gets in contact with him but says he shouldn’t be talking with him and then Joe gets into deep shit with Leo for contacting Vito and you play as Vito and have to go and find and help Joe and they reunite and escape together and start their own family in a different small city like how Leo and Vinci did as boss and consigliere, would be the most beautiful thing ever but unfortunately will probably never get something like that,I’m just happy knowing my favorite video game character made it out alive
I agree, I'd love Mafia 5 to be about Joe and Vito reconnecting, doing whatever, if not, then theres literally no point of it. If theres one thing we really care about here is their friendship
Love the video. I love playing through Mafia 3. I will admit that the first time I finished the game I was so happy I didn't notice the driver but after a 2nd playthrough when I saw the ending I immediately figured it was Joe.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It’s the same driver that Leo has in mafia 2 just older.
@@tysontitus996Oh really? That's some lazy ass developers to use Joe's face model for the driver from Mafia 2.💀🤣

Perfect video!!!!!!! I waited too long for that!!!
Great job! Thanks
Thanks for giving me closure after ending mafia 2! I was lost bout joe
Excellent video!!!!!!!!! ❤
It’s clear as day Joe is alive and Lincoln clay is his son literally look just alike
Not His Son, Lincoln Was Born In January 1945, And Joe Moved To There In February 1945, The Dates Doesn't Match.
@@RUclipsHatesJapaneseLetters96 are you sure about that?
@@RUclipsHatesJapaneseLetters96 its speculated that Lincoln was born In January
But we cant be sure what Joey did before Vito came from war. It is highly possible that Joey could spend time in New Bordeaux.
@@justthink1616 Yes, Just Think About It.
🙏 Really Thanks Bro
I didn't realise it was Joe at first but I did find it odd the driver would briefly look at the camera before getting in the car.
It doesn't matter that I know that Joe survived, but still the sentence: sorry kid, Joe wasn't part of our deal. It's always hits me hard .😅
What would’ve made sense, was if Vito asked Lincoln to interrogate them about Joe. We interrogate everybody else, don’t we? That would’ve been some nice little info right there into what happened.
wow good video i cant wait for the next game
After listeining the commentary the scene faded in my mind when Joe greets Vito at the train station (when he arrive back home in WW2).
"-Viiito! Over Here!!!"
I liked how they made joe join vinci family and vito send to Sal’s family and both separated it fits Leo character to do this kinda choices he was wise but not brutal and it makes some what sense also but how the makers of mafia 3 did it was very poorly and confusing at the time, they focused so much at Lincoln that Joe & Vito’s story became Invisible
Vito Had An Entire Cancelled DLC In Empire Bay That Would Be Released If Take Two (C0cks) Wasn't Such a D To The Developers.
@@RUclipsHatesJapaneseLetters96 yeah I heard about that and it’s true vito would have a dlc prob about his life after empire bay or finding joe, I was so pissed man 2k ruining everything if mafia would have freedom as gta oh boy it would be so much different. They always wants to rush things better have a slow process and get what we want, one thing they can redeem themselves give vito a bigger role that is what he deserves I hope for mafia 5 cuz 4 is confirmed to be back 20s
Realistically, Leo wouldn’t have been able to save Vito and Joe. He’s only a consigliere and does not have the pull the game claims he does to convince the entire commission to let 2 loose canons live.
Lol Leo really save both of them ik mafia is cold hearted but I think Leo seen a lil of Vito in him in his younger days than he know Vito don’t kno much about the business n not causin problems purposely
@@latinobunny9882 Actually It's Accurate For Them To Live, I've Seen Wiseguys Get Away With Worse Things, Even Franzese And The Bull Gravano Survived.
It’s just me or his voice sound like Vito’s voice ????
It’s his voice actor
@@SuperNeos2 I think it's more AI
It’s an AI-generated transcription. There are voice bots for many game characters. It does sound very natural, crazy how far we’ve come in AI in just a few years. Soon there will be no more need for hiring voice actors or narrators, unfortunately.
I think he used uberduck ai.
This video makes me want to see mafia 4 as soon as possible
Very accurate video bro
Did you get Rick Pasqualone to do the entire video or is this an A.I. generated voice changer that you spoke into?
Joe and vito are too powerful to be together
This whole mafia series is so deep, I absolutely love it... I picked up the original Mafia in the mid-2000s for PlayStation 2 and got Mafia 2 when it came out like 14 years ago at this point. I am glad that I have been around to enjoy one, two, and three's story and character development. I admit they definitely could have done a better job explaining Joe but I agree, maybe they left it as wide open as they did so that they can continue the story.
I wish they expanded on those dlcs that they made for mafia 2 where you play as Joe and the other dude/dudes I now forget. Game felt so fresh playing as other characters
You should also make a video about Eddie Scarpa's
Will do!
It would be cool if like in Mafia 4 or 5 Lincoln, Joe and Vito met again in Los Ondas, run by the boss's son/nephew Louie Romeo.
honestly im curious why they would send vito to new bourdou and not joe, leo actually had a connection with vito and if he believed that joe and him being together was a problem then send joe away. Maybe it was because vito was more reliable and could be more usefull down there? or maybe just didnt trust keeping him around leo? hes definitly more resourceful than joe so he was probably more suited for the position down south where as joe is more useful as muscle but i dont know
man, your voice is likes Vito's voice, that's awesome @@
Yeah I was the Same Thinking 😅
I believe that joe survived and is Leo’s personal bodyguard and driver but made a deal that he can’t be around joe. If they ever make mafia 4 Vito takes over new bourduex and that will make one reunion awkward lol
It was Joe in mafia 3 but mafia 3 is not mafia for me.
Joe lives! Thanks for the insightful video.
A video that nobody asked for but that we all needed 😅😂
Thanks for this video, i am confused from Joe barbaro's death but now is sure he alive 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Although my big question goes outside the game and also the DLC's
what happened to Jimmy? :O
Glad you liked this video! Jimmy isn't cannon. He's part of an alternate Mafia 2 Universe.
@@MafiaGameVideos I am confused again with them 😵💫😵💫
@@MafiaGameVideos yeah that's 100% true. Jimmy was in the exact same prison as vito, in Jimmy's second story. Which by the way,is in the middle of a riot as soon as you start playing. Once you get out, the game basically tells you that the whole city is run by two cultural, hostile gang leaders. A mob boss, and an Irishman.
You should make a video of what happened to Eddie scarpa
Carlo got killed by Vito in the end of Mafia 2
just imagine a new mafia with vito and joe as an ending :) that would be amazing
I thought it was joe but could never be sure. I personally think it is a perfect way to set up future plots, get the fans thinking and talking. I love it when stories tell or elude to the truth even when the story’s characters don’t know it yet.
We're never going to find out, that's how this is designed, we feel the uncertainty that Vito feels
Based on what you said,i have a theory:
After the events of Mafia 2,Joe escapes the car but gets caught by Vinci, who offers Joe to join the Vinci family ir else,he dies.
Because of not wanting Vito to figure out that Joe is alive,Vinci sends a body double to chicago,to make a cover up story for Joe,but the guys he's met with set him up,doing to him what Mafia 3 tells us.
Also, the reason Leo protects Lincoln is because Vito is part of his organization and does not wish his death.
Don’t forget Eddie Scarpa, Jimmy, francessca scaletta
I’m assuming that at the end of mafia 3 joe is walking with a limp which might have meant they beat him but decided it would be better to make a deal instead of killing him
I remember finishing Mafia 3 and always wondering because that face I was like it can't be mostly after the ending of Mafia 2 I was like hmmmmmm🤔
I Would Say Yes, He Is Alive And Working For Leo Galante, The Game Wouldn't Focus That Much Screen Time In A Random Bodyguard, And 2K Probably Listened The Community To Put Him In The Next Game.
But The Theory That He's Lincoln's Father It's Just Stupid To Me, Lincoln Was Born In January 1945 And Joe Only Moved To There In February 1945.
Joe calls vito to tell him he’s alive and that lincoln is his son
@@michaelleahy4551No, thats based on a fan made video. If you were to actually read the Mafia wiki it literally says "Note* all of this happened in a fan made video, not the actual game."
thank you Vito, now we can rest in peace
I believe Joe is alive and I thought that before Mafia 3 released. Leo might have betrayed Vito but he didn't kill him when he could have done so easily. Leo keeping Joe alive will pay back the debt he owes Vito for saving his life
Can you do a what if vito never brought henry in alternate timeline next
I wouldn’t mind a prequel of Mafia 4 being set after the events of Mafia 2 and before the events of Mafia 3. But I wonder if we are still getting Vegas for Mafia 4 🤔
That was definitely Joe at the end of mafia 3 driving Leo around
1:30 they we’re marked for death Damn,2:59 u found the game files that’s dope
What’s the name of the song in the end of the video?
Personally if at the ending of Mafia 3 Vito takes over New Bordeaux, he would a lot of power and connections to find more info about Joe and perhaps find out he is alive. In fact, after 17 years they would definitely be more smart about being a mob. But that is just a theory. I wouldn't be surprised if Mafia 4 gets a completely different story and Lincoln, Vito and Joe fates would be a mystery in Mafia 4, only player's choice in Mafia 3
You sound like Vito’s young hip son. I almost thought you were doing an impression
Крутая история и разбор деталей. Большое спасибо за ролик!
Bro sounds like vito while telling a story
Why are we even questioning what happens to joe when the game tells us? In Joe’s revenge dlc it takes place 3 years after the main game and at the end joe flees to Chicago and he gets killed there
Ngl ive never cried at the end of a game except for mafia 2
So when are we gonna get a game where Vito and Joe reunite?
I hope in Mafia 4 they tell us what really happened to joe + joe as a playable character.
This whole time i thought my 2nd favorite game charachter died and i am glad to know he is alive and still pushing.
So when I beat this game when I was 12 years old. I was overcome with a lot of emotion. I wanted so badly for Joe to still be alive. And because we didn’t actually see him die, I was convinced he made it out somehow.
Just like I desperately wanted Ghost from Modern Warfare 2 to have survived. But growing up and playing this game again over and over, I realized that it just wasn’t meant to be. Nobody in this business gets a happy ending and I accepted Joes fate.
Playing through Mafia III I didn’t even realize or put together that Joe was Leo’s driver. But after this overwhelming evidence provided by this video, I have to say. I’m extremely disappointed. It completely eliminates the emotional turmoil we were left with after Mafia II’s ending. It completely destroys the emotional weight of Mafia II’s ending just so what, it could make a shitty low impact reveal that he’s still alive? Mafia III gets some undeserved hate, but this part right here I won’t forgive. What a lazy and stupid thing to do.
it’s not that serious bud
@@darionblack4434 so you came to a 10:30 minute long video that was tackling the issue of a character being alive or not in a video game and had no problem with him taking it that serious. But my my 3 paragraph comment about what this information does to my overall view of the story is taking it too serious?
"during the side mission I need a favor vito ask Lincoln for a favor" who would have thought 😂
What’s if they made deal without Vito knowing it. Vito leaves and joe stays helps them grows the empire. Then in mafia 4 joe comes back as old man and a don. Has his own family. Vito try’s go after joes crime family then shocked about joe being alive. They have disagreement about the pass. About Vito leaving without saying anything.
The whole idea was to keep Joe and Vito separately, cos if they work as a team, it's always a problem.
And Leo did exactly that. Frank Vinci has nothing to do with it.
Joe is alive, it was confirmed at the end of mafia 3 after talking to leo galante, he's the guy who opens the door of the car for leo, before he gets in the car, he turns and looks at lincoln before getting into the car
That’s the same bodyguard seen in mafia 2
Same suit and everything
There's only one problem here: Joe left Empire Bay sometime in 1945. Even if he had gone to Louisiana and had sexual relations with a Dominican woman, Lincoln would have been born in late '45 or early '46. Although the FBI information is not accurate about the date of birth of Lincoln Clay, he was definitely born in 1945, and not in 1946.
Yeah, Only Ellis And Danny Were Born In 1946 And Not The Entire Mafia Characters. XD
The thing is mafia 3 is messed up some with bugs and some with mentioning the citys name I think the father is Joe why is the year same that couldn’t be enough coincidence
What about pepe he was the driver in mafia2( driver for leo gallanty)
Joe's deaths is canonical ending of Mafia 2. It doesnt matter if guys from hangar 13 decided to ressurect him in a dumb way. Trying to make connection between games they ruin such a dramatic ending with meaning of price you pay.
thank you joe is dead it wasn't a cliff hanger.
Now why during the 5 yrs that while vito was put away in the can serving time that joe would then travel 100s of miles down to new bordeaux?? What info would he get out of visiting there for?
Mafia 4 should be Joe and vito reuniting, understanding the fact that Leo kept them apart or vito finding out about Joe and how Leo kept them apart and going after the whole commission one last time, maybe along with Lincoln clay back from Vietnam or maybe if they ruled together then down to kick some ass
4:15 what's the song playing in the background?
Crazy fact but true that means that Joe has worked for all 3 Mob Families in Empire Bay,
The first half of the game him and Vito worked for Clemente.
Then Later in the game they became made men in the Falcone family.
Then after Falcone’s death Vito gets exiled Joe is working for Leo and Mr. Vinci.
The voice over sounds suspiciously like Vito Scarletta...
I so hope they both are alive and they meet up again in another Mafia game 🙂
He's alive. That's my canon. They just made it seem like they were gonna kill him. I have seen how he dies after, but that was not used. He survives, but vito doesn't know. That was the cover story. He really did become one of Leo's guys, and the driver.
Just finished my 2nd play through of this game and never noticed this. That’s a mind blowing Easter Egg.
Whats that outro song?
Honestly I rlly don’t like how mafia 3 handled this. They could have at least given him some a cutscene or 2 explaining what happened. Not very satisfying after the cliffhanger in the last game
Exactly.
