One of the best videos I've seen about customizing your XT4. I've owned mine for 2 years and I learned a lot. Thank you. Subbed.

This is a very good video. The differences I use are: 1. change metering modes to change the look (vs your over/underexpose). Since that is no longer on a dial in the X-T4 vs. previous models I have programmed a button shortcut. 2. Shoot in Aperture Priority and learn to use Fuji’s awesome auto ISO settings. You are in full control of the minimum shutter speed and maximum ISO. 3. Use the SmallRig L-shaped grip for X-T4. This hugely improves the ergonomics of this camera, has a built-in tripod plate, and preserves the ease access to the battery compartment. For me it’s a must-have with the X-T4 and enables steady use of larger glass like the 2.8 zooms.

Very informative, Pete. You’ve packed a lot of helpful details and tips into video. Your set-up is very similar to mine but I’ll have to experiment more with Continuous Mode on my X-T4. Thanks for sharing.

Great video Pete, very easy to listen to and understand, what is the little knob you have in the shutter press button? Love your work from Rohan in Australia.

Thanks, Rohan! That's a soft shutter button which screws into the top of the Fuji shutter. It greatly improves the entire shooting experience: amzn.to/3YJp9SK

Thanks Pete! I've been shooting headshots and portraits with a Nikon D750 and now a Sony A7III. I also have a Fuji X-T2 that I use for 'fun' and as a back up. The Fuji is such a great shooting experience that I'm considering swapping my Sony A7III for an X-T4 -- and that's why I really appreciate this video. Do you use the T4 for professional headshots/portraits? Or do you use a full frame camera?

Thanks Marcus! I appreciate the feedback. I use a canon R5 in my studio but have also used my xt4 for some studio work. It’s awesome and I love it. I find it hard to choose between the two and the Fuji is my go to travel camera. As you said the shooting experience is really great, not to mention the quality and film sims. I love the analog dials too although I take a good natured dig at them in my latest video lol.

Thanks this was very informative. I just got my xt 30ii so put in use most of what you have said. Any idea if this camera has simiral issue with the EVF/lcd ? I think for myself changing lcd brightness to -1 and color +1 was the way to go. Wonder if this is right and if the pc image will be what i see on screen....

Not sure, but it's best to try it out and tweak the screen to taste. I haven't needed to change anything for the XT5.
