Hi Krista, I love your quilts and patterns! When I first found you I didn’t think I had enough skills to make them, but I do now and I am so happy I found your channel again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents. 🥰👍🥰 Chris
Thank you for this pattern. Although I am not keen on sewing triangles, your explanation and your pattern seems so clear and concise that I may just give it a try but I will have to buy scraps as I have not been sewing that long to have the necessary material. Thank you so very much for this and your quilt is beautiful!
"If you are really hurting for scraps..." - that's not MY problem, lol! This is a great pattern, and since I already have the ruler, I think I'll look through my stash today and begin picking some colors.
I really enjoyed watching your video. I typically don’t like the chaos of crazy quilts but your colour choice of fabric scraps is very pleasing along with the solid fabric. Thank you, your a pleasure to watch.
Hi from South Africa 🇿🇦 just found your video. I love the way you explain. You remind me of my sister in law I haven't seen in years, so I really enjoyed in more ways I can explain. You have this peacefulness that make me really feel like I can do this... yip I can😁.
I absolutely Love your tutorials. You are inspiring. All the patterns I've seen so far are great for scraps. The Hexagon is beautiful. Thank You for all of it. Barb😊
Krista, I enjoy your tutorials so much. You are the best teacher on RUclips. PLEASE can you do the Color My World 2021 Quilt? I feel you are the only person who could cover that information in a way that would enable me to follow it! It’s a beautiful, beautiful quilt.
Oh thank you so much Johanne!! Wow, that is high praise :) I looked that quilt up and it truly is a beautiful quilt! I don't know what the rules are around covering someone elses work because I have just focussed on my own concepts and designs... Who knows, I may branch out someday!
I've got a table full of scraps from the pineapple quilt I just pieced, so I'm going to turn those scraps into triangles and make a row of that for a boarder. And if I get it all together and it doesn't look good, I have the start of another quilt. Win win. Thanks for this tutorial. It's been in my saved videos for such a time as this.
Used this extra time to evaluate my UFO quilting projects. Finished one. Started two others. Then I saw this! Yes, I have many scraps and love simple ideas. The perfect piece of background fabric is in my stash☺️. Realized that I love the planning, cutting, playing in material, and can totally relax doing this.
Ordered and received a Moda grab bag and decided to sew the stripes together and I knew I wanted to use your 60 degree ruler…can’t wait to cut them out tomorrow! Thank you for such a great tutorial using the ruler. I am so inspired to use up some more of my scraps. Cyndi
Great video I make a lot of scrap quilts with all my leftovers and this is a fun different way to use them. You do a great job explaining and your videos are so pleasant to watch
I love this idea, I made 8” strips, cut the end off straight then sewed the strips together this way I created a long strip set with less waste. I plan to use repurposed blue jeans for the solid color.
Hah - I was so inspired - I made 4 rows so far, in pink strips, 8 pinks triangles wide!!! I make a LOT of donation quilts. So far, I'm loving it! Thanks for getting my energy turned on!
Reminds me of Victoria Findlay Wolfe's crumb quilts. I love scrap quilting. I love making something from nothing and it always looks so unoriginal 😁. Keep up the good things Krista, awesome tutorial.
Krista I love this pattern for using up scraps. Your tutorials are great. You look so relaxed and you can sense that you enjoy what you are doing. I think we love to use up our scraps almost as much as starting a new project. Thanks!
I've just discovered your videos last night. I had been in a quilting lull, lacking inspiration. You've renewed my excitement for our craft. Looking forward to using up some craps to create your many morsels quilt. It's so lovely! THANK YOU!
Krista! You never cease to amaze me and get me motivated. These look fantastic. I am finishing up 3 projects and working HARD on them because my next project is my first quilt pattern I bought from you the Vintage Windmill and so excited to start. These baby quilts will be the next project on “The List”! Thank you for the pattern.
I too stumbled upon your channel and added you to my "subscribed channels". Really like watching you teach. Thank you for showing the scrap buster quilt. I bought this ruler from your web-site. Looking forward using it.
Could you show how to cut these with a traditional ruler for those of us who do not have the specialty ruler. I have the 6x24 omnigrid ruler withe the 45 & 60 degree angles marked on it. Thanks.
I don't know that you could get the accuracy you'd want by using those lines on a regular ruler to cut triangles. You can easily cut diamonds with those lines, but triangles are a different story... You might be able to make a template with paper and then use your regular ruler to cut around it!
I ordered both of the rulers last week and I have a ton of scraps that I've been holding on to! This is the perfect use for mine! I can't wait to start... Thank You!!!😍😍😍
I stumbled upon your channel and fell in love with it. Thank you for sharing such an amazing scrap buster quilt pattern. I look forward to more videos.
Omg how fun and great idea for scraps and other things to use these rulers on. Thank you for these great videos! I’m currently working on blooms and loving the pattern and ruler! 🐞😉
I love this pattern. I ordered my ruler from you. I'm ready to sew my triangles together. Shoul I press the seams open or press one row in one direction, and the next row in the opposite direction. I'm making a memory quilt out of 33 man's shirts. Thank you.
I love the fact that you give detail about bias and straight of grain. Your videos have great piecing detail as well as cutting advice. I just wish the paper patterns were available in the UK!
Hi Denise! I know some shops in the UK carry them. Or if PDF's are not your thing, we would be happy to mail you paper patterns and shipping those really isn't that expensive :)

I'm ready to sew my triangles together.
Shoul I press the seams open or press one row in one direction, and the next row in the opposite direction.
I'm making a memory quilt out of 33 man's shirts. Thank you.
I would press the seam open, it'll make for the flattest intersections when joining the rows!
I so appreciate your great videos! Thank you!
Thank you so much!!
Only just found you, love, love, love this idea. Nice concise video, thank you, Vonney x
Thank you Vonney!
Do you press seams open or to one side?
I usually press open... but it is personal preference with this quilt!
