    Thank you for this pattern. Although I am not keen on sewing triangles, your explanation and your pattern seems so clear and concise that I may just give it a try but I will have to buy scraps as I have not been sewing that long to have the necessary material. Thank you so very much for this and your quilt is beautiful!

    I've got a table full of scraps from the pineapple quilt I just pieced, so I'm going to turn those scraps into triangles and make a row of that for a boarder. And if I get it all together and it doesn't look good, I have the start of another quilt. Win win. Thanks for this tutorial. It's been in my saved videos for such a time as this.

    Could you show how to cut these with a traditional ruler for those of us who do not have the specialty ruler. I have the 6x24 omnigrid ruler withe the 45 & 60 degree angles marked on it. Thanks.

    • @kristamoser
      @kristamoser  3 года назад

      I don't know that you could get the accuracy you'd want by using those lines on a regular ruler to cut triangles. You can easily cut diamonds with those lines, but triangles are a different story... You might be able to make a template with paper and then use your regular ruler to cut around it!

    Shoul I press the seams open or press one row in one direction, and the next row in the opposite direction.
    I'm making a memory quilt out of 33 man's shirts. Thank you.

      I would press the seam open, it'll make for the flattest intersections when joining the rows!

    Do you press seams open or to one side?

      I usually press open... but it is personal preference with this quilt!

    I love the fact that you give detail about bias and straight of grain. Your videos have great piecing detail as well as cutting advice. I just wish the paper patterns were available in the UK!

      Hi Denise! I know some shops in the UK carry them. Or if PDF's are not your thing, we would be happy to mail you paper patterns and shipping those really isn't that expensive :)

      @@kristamoser I haven't seen the paper patterns in any UK shops. I like paper patterns. If I order a paper pattern from your Etsy shop will it calculate postage to the UK? I just bought Your Creative Grids 60 degree diamond ruler and I'm raring to go!

      Your Etsy shop says in the pattern details that it doesn't ship to the UK :-( I will keep searching online for a UK shop that has the paper patterns

      @@denisenewman5986 if you order through our website: www.kristamoser.com/printed-patterns, it will calculate postage to the UK. (Crystal King, Customer Support).
