Pat we love you. You may not be a tutorial web site but I learn so much from you. Your thought process for picking colors is so helpful. Keep up the good work and thank you.
I just wanted to say I really appreciate your style of videos . The way you explain choosing colors is SO helpful ! Sometimes I "audition" colors for days before I can tell if I like them. I hope the color matching will be easier the more I do it. I've only been sewing around 3 years . Your tidying tips 😍 . Thank you Pat !
I have never made a single you tube video BUT I watch a LOT of them. I absolutley love all the little "bloopers" like squeaky tripods, camera sliding down, upside down fabric, etc.....because you are oh so very approachable and relatable! They are still 'professional' enough to get the message across but laid back enough to make me feel like you are sitting in the room talking to me and our other quilty friends'around the world.' When you do get those pesky tutorial type videos out I will treasure them for what they are. Okay...I'm putting my soapbox away now. Keep on doing what you do!
Good morning! Don't change a thing. We love you videos. They are jam packed with so much. I personally look forward to watching every morning. Have a great day.
Just love, love, love your show and the format. I have learned so much watching you everyday…color choices, tips, how-to-fix,organize and be kind to your self, go with the flow and laugh🥰
I love your daily videos and don’t necessarily need tutorial-type things- I appreciate your inspiration and positive attitude. I love my daily visits with you.
Pat, thank-you for your discussion of building scrappy quilts. It is very helpful to hear what you are thinking about when pulling fabric and getting out of the "safe" zone with selecting colours. I love quilts with hundreds of different fabrics that play well together. When I first started quilting I chose more " matchy matchy " fabrics because I was told you must not mix whites and tans etc. BUT now I like to go crazy and mix MANY low volume neutrals and an occasional surprise pop of something! I think it makes the quilt much more interesting and is a good scrap buster too. You are such an encouragement to your viewers. THANKS AGAIN!!!
Oh, but Pat, you do teach me every single day! All the things your channel is about is why I tune in every day. Honestly your channel is the only one I watch regularly. It’s my morning show! 😁 Love your channel don’t change a thing. ❤️
One of my favorite reasons for watching is to see you pick colors. I'm a long-time quilter and I'm bored with boring backgrounds. I love your color choices
Pat, always know that we appreciate you. I have learned so much watching your videos. You can say your not teaching but I am still learning from you. So, thank you so much for what you share with us.
Boy,did I need todays watch on fabric pulls for cohesive scrappy quilts. I have been on that train for decades and it keeps going off the rails. Thank you,Pat, so much for today
Thank you so much for going over these scrappy fabric choices. I have a ton of fabric scraps from my sister and am wanting to make a lot of charity quilts from them. I don't have a lot of money to buy background fabric, but this works beautifully! .I get frustrated when I have too many projects out in process. I would rather put everything away and have one thing out at a time, it just makes my space so inviting. IN FACT, I stopped the video at this point and went and cleaned my sewing room.
I love your videos just as they are. I have trouble putting colors together and your explanations are a great help. Keep doing what you are doing. I look forward to your videos daily. I miss you when you are not here.
I love your channel. I love your fabric pull discussions especially because you talk through why it works. I love, love, love this one about scraps. Scrap quilts just speak to me. This video was just so helpful.
Are You Kidding Pat? YOU Teach Us Everyday!! Your videos are Unique & I always learn so much. Thank YOU! Thanks to you I tackled my own "Counter of Shame"--LOL & Yes it feels so good to work in a tidy organized space. The Amy Smart fabric will be perfect for the baskets. Great Tutorial on planned Scrappy!
Thank you for another great video. I like that you don’t do just tutorials. I love your videos. They are inspirational and give me the desire to make beautiful things. I wish I could keep up because I want to make every single quilt you make. I love sewing in community. I’ve downsized my Summer Picnic quilt to be 9 blocks. That 3x3 fits nicely beside my front door. Thank you for all you do. Love the fabric and color talks. Keep on! You are so helpful.
Thank you for showing Wendy's quilt once again, it is so beautiful to look at and see all the different fabrics she used. I love that you showed us all the possibilities we could pull from our own fabrics to put into a quilt. Thank you for all your help and inspiration.
Great tips for a scrappy quilt!!! Today I'm going to list my UFOs.....several are you sew alongs that I started years ago, hope to get them finished niw that I'm retired.
I look forward to watching your videos every morning. There are so many tutorial videos but your videos are unique. I love seeing your fabric and color discussions. Please dont change a thing.
I’m so glad you talked about tidying up your space. I do this weekly because I too have limited space PLUS I can’t think with too much out in the own. I love your videos and you have helped me so much to experiment choosing fabrics. Keep up the GREAT work!
Pat, you are the best! Every day it’s like having a cup of coffee with your best friend to check in and see what your day will bring, keeping each other accountable, and sooooo much encouragement! Almost 100K LOVE you! That’s a lot of love so you must be doing most things right!❤keep on keepin on…….
Pat, to tell you that I love what you do is an understatement. I've been following you for years. I never fall to learn something. Also, I'm a follower of Wendy. Her designs are so beautiful 😍
Pat!!! I love your RUclips page and I continually learn from you. Even your little tips and tricks are so helpful! You may not see them as tutorials, but I reference back often ti things you teach. Don’t sell ourself short girl!! You are awesome! I watch every morning 🌼thank you for all you share!! 😊
Scrappy quilts are absolutely beautiful and truly creative!!!! I'm working on one right now, and my blocks are not looking scrappy. Instead, they are looking misplaced😜
I like that you share the decision-making process with us! I subscribe to several youtube quilting channels. Everybody offers something different. I enjoy checking in with you on a daily basis and seeing what you're doing. Many thanks!
I was going through my "stash" and realized that I am overloaded with blues. In looking more closely at Wendy's quilt and watching this fantastic video, I know what I want to do with all these blues. I have the pattern for the Harrisonburg quilt. I am excited!
Excellent demonstration on color selection! For those that are not scrappy-leaning, this is what ya do...for me it's so fun to pull out the fab and pick!
Pat even though you are not "teaching" us a lot of techniques you are encouraging me to sew quilt. My problem is I want to sew all the sew alongs and watch your videos and I am not getting my own projects completed. So I have prioritize my projects and work on them at assigned times, and this is also the same in watching the videos and looking at the facebook group - becuase I am in just awe of those ladies that post the stuff that they have done.
Thank you for all you do for us. I love waking up to see you each morning.I never catch the live one because I live in Colorado which is mountain time. But my iPad is always charged in the morning ❤️❤️❤️
I love your channel for the very reason that you are just talking about quilting. You are always interesting, funny and informative. My sisters and I talk to each other like that. I love your style!!!
Thank you for the lesson. I am finishing up a scrappy top right now, so you inspired me for the next one! ❤ Every time you show Wendy's quilt, I love it even more than the last time. It's like discovering treasure!
I like your talks, for tutorials I have most of your books. 😉 I find the more I piece, the more open I am for scrappy. It’s interesting how my scope is expanding. Thank you for providing so much different input to this newer quilter without a lot of time for sewing on her hands.
Thank you Pat for showing us how to put together a scrappy quilt. I have resisted making a scrappy quilt because I just didn’t know how to put the scrappy fabrics together. I feel more confident now with this basic knowledge and am looking forward to creating a small scrappy quilt. Oh and your hair looks fabulous!
Love the time you spend teaching us about fabric colors. I have so much to learn and not enough scraps to have many choices. It’s a struggle w every new project! Great episode!
Thank you for this very informative lesson on building a true scrappy quilt using basically two colors. I have tons of vintage calico' s that my mother left me. This is going to be a goal to try this year, hopefully.
Good morning! Love your videos! Thank you for all of the hard work you put in these videos. Love all and any tips. Especially the color placement. Love when you did the Stay Home with so many fun prints.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have no idea of how to mix colors for a quilt so always just stick to fabric collections, But you have done such a great job of walking through the "thinking " process that I feel that I could give a scrappy quilt a go ( I certainly have enough scraps to make one!) Again, thank you for a great tutorial!
Love a freshly tidied work space! It looks great. You’re going to reach the 100,000 soon because you consistently provide such solid content. I enjoy my morning coffee and your daily video together each day.
Your space looks great. I am a no clutter quilter. Too much clutter distracts me and I cannot focus. You have so many projects going on at a time it is totally understandable that makes you happy that’s what’s important. For me clutter free and one project at a time until done is the way. Lol so funny how we all have different ways. Love it!
Ah loved seeing this. I have such trouble with color. Always afraid to mix it up. Thanks - and thank you Wendy beautiful quilt. When I look at quilts that are more scrappy I really think they look just more comfy.
Thanks for another great video. My first attempt at scrappy was Scrappiness is Happiness using 2 different Lori Holt Bundles. It really tested and expanded my safe zone. Now with your tutorial today of mixing random fabrics with a fabric line bundle I can move on to the next level. You're the best!
I think your sewing room always looks nice and neat. But I know what you mean about having some uncluttered space. When I give my sewing room a good cleaning and clearing out, it looks so nice. I usually sit in my sewing chair and look around and am grateful for all the lovely things I have. Thanks for all your videos - they are inspirational.
Well you are getting me motivated and organized. You are showing me color placement and how to work on multiple projects at once. It is finally coming together. I have not been able to sew with the projects you are but I am in the sense of working on my projects! I appreciate you so much thank you
Thank you for explaining scrappy quilts, it is truly helpful, I struggle with picking out fabric, would never have thought about how to vary A COLOR, always thought one fabric must go in a block.
Pat, your videos teach me so much. I can get the how to's and block instructions in lots of places BUT your tips and colour placement/selection information is so important to me. You have helped me to expand and extend the clours and types of fabrics that I work with so much. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the lesson on pulling the palette for a scrap quilt. My green and white scrap quilt is blah, using the same white muslin and assorted greens, but not even much difference in the print scale. The Lisa Bonegean Americana quilt kit I'm doing has the variety you spoke of today. And that quilt sparkles. Thanks for showing me why this is so. You're the best❤
I love your choice of navy to start putting your pieces together for a scrappy quilt. Navy is my favourite choice of fabrics, and I am currently working with a navy pallet with creams and whites and a bits of blues to mix it up and I’m loving it. Thanks for sharing your choices, picking the right fabrics is a big part of a quilt. Thanks for sharing. 👍❤️😊
Wendy’s quilt is very beautiful! And amazing! Thank you so much for all you do! I learn so much from you …I watched the HST video in the middle of the night and I always feel that you help me to build my skills…and your color design really helps me as I have trouble finding my way out of a paper bag!!! 😂
Thank you so much for sharing this process. Prior to this, I would have never considered some of the colors Wendy placed in her blocks but by breaking the process down for us, you show how to create a totally cohesive quilt. You are so generous and giving. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your space. If you could only see mine, lol! I just love Wendy's quilt! Fabulous colors and fabrics! Blues, whites, and creams are my most favorite colors!
Ty Pat. I put on the live chat replay while trying to listen and watch u ! Lol I stopped it a few times and read my thoughts from Shari Holden who said it well ' she enjoys you as you ; motivate, encourage & challenge.' Others mentioned you taught them a lot about colour, inspire, just get moving but learn new things like Fabric auditioning. I enjoyed 😊the blue and cream analysis of Wendy Shepards quilt. 🩷 I've been struggling with choosing fabric for the library quilt but got the idea just yesterday of using my batiks. Great discussion! This applies to the Summer Memories lazy afternoon quilt which has been on my mind. Love Wendy’s work!
That Fabric will be perfect for backing!

Muchly appreciated the triangles demo. Carry on with your Core Video mission which I love seeing daily. Have a nice spring weekend.
I love the scrappiness of Wendy’s beautiful quilt. Thank you so much for today’s lesson in going scrappy!
I would love it if you showed and talked more about making scrappy tonal quilts and color choices. Thank you for all you do.
I love your channel for the very reason that you are just talking about quilting. You are always interesting, funny and informative. My sisters and I talk to each other like that. I love your style!!!
You are the reason I have made quilting a priority. I love your program format. You found the perfect backing so you can stop looking!🎉
That fabric pull was so enlightening, gosh you know your stuff Pat!
Thank you for the lesson. I am finishing up a scrappy top right now, so you inspired me for the next one! ❤ Every time you show Wendy's quilt, I love it even more than the last time. It's like discovering treasure!

Your space looks good! Great video today on picking color groups for scrappy quilting. Thanks for all your inspiration and knowledge!
I love your video format! I have gained so much from your tips on selecting colors and placement. Thank you ❤️
Thanks for help with the scrappy whites/neutrals. I struggle with creams and whites together - but you’ve given me courage!
I love the scrappy blue quilt. I have a million and one red fat quarters and I could do the same thing with my reds that Wendy did with he blues.
I like your talks, for tutorials I have most of your books. 😉 I find the more I piece, the more open I am for scrappy. It’s interesting how my scope is expanding. Thank you for providing so much different input to this newer quilter without a lot of time for sewing on her hands.

Your such a Joy an inspiration! Truly, I have learned the most from your daily videos and your quilt alongs. Much appreciated! Be Well
Thank you for all you do! Get a coffee and a yard of new fabric😁
thank you so much!!
Very interesting discussion on creating a scrappy quilt. I appreciate your videos on color and fabrics, they've helped me learn a lot.
I think your sewing room always looks nice and neat. But I know what you mean about having some uncluttered space. When I give my sewing room a good cleaning and clearing out, it looks so nice. Yes, yes, yes to the backing!
I’m so in love with Wendy’s quilt!
I enjoy your videos color organizing tips just seeing what you have makes me giggle as I too have stuff!
I’m working on a scrappy improv quilt right now and this was so helpful! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and Wedndy’s beautiful quilt 😉

Wendy’s quilt is very beautiful! And amazing! Thank you so much for all you do! I loved the yellow for your shelves.
Great info, so helpful! Thank you Pat!!!😊
Thank you so much for sharing this process. Prior to this, I would have never considered some of the colors Wendy placed in her blocks but by breaking the process down for us, you show how to create a totally cohesive quilt. You are so generous and giving. Thank you!

Love your explication on colors. So inspirational. Gives me lots of ideas.
