Crumb blocks are my favorite relaxing therapy.
Thank you for explaining your process making a crumb block. I really like that you explained why you are leaving them the size they are until you are ready to use them.
thank you!
Yikes...I’m pulling from a laundry basket of pieces off all sizes , sewing them on then cutting to size...love the calm of your method
Yes from me, too! It is great to hear someone tell me their way of doing. It's really nice just to hear someone talk; it's been a long year for me, sheltered in place. What fun! Thank you for sharing. Stay well & safe!! pj!
I've seen several tutorials on crumb blocks. I like your method. Yes, I think many would benefit from seeing more of this.
Would enjoy learning techniques from you in special segments! Always enjoy your chats!😘
Love your videos. A series on construction of crumb blocks is a great idea. Let’s see how many ways they can be constructed and used.
"When dalmatians wear lipstick"!!!! Oh my, how cute & funny :) I agree on the bees wings-when I looked at the kit/quilt I couldn't even see the wings until I zoomed in!! I love crumb blocks. At one of our retreats years ago-the ones who wanted to participate-made I think 16 small blocks. I think they were about 3 or 4" square. We then laid them out on a table & you went thru & picked whatever the number was we designated from each person's pile. It was great fun to see the variety of fabrics. I made a small wall hanging with mine using sashings between the blocks. I also have lots of strips saved to sew onto adding machine tape! I saw it on a video & that looks fun, too :)
Yes please, I would be interested to see one Technique on a whole video, like the crumb blocks today. Thank you. This was great.
I would be very happy if you would do a few segments of how to make crumb quilts. I loved this video today but would love to watch a longer series. It would be greatly appreciated as I have tons of scraps-some big and some small!
Hi Pat, I enjoyed seeing how you approach crumb blocks. More video lessons would be greatly appreciated.
I loved the crumb block segment! Would love to see more of this!
Yes, I love your idea of a subject per episode. I really like learning these tidbits.
Enjoyed your crumb quilt technique. Have seen others, but yours works better with my controlled scrappy mentality. Your plan to not immediately square it up was great also because it doesn't lock you in to a specific use. Always enjoy seeing/learning new techniques and ideas for utilizing small often trashed pieces of fabric. Look forward to a tutorial type of option from time to time.
YES! Please do a series on crumb blocks. Love your videos.
Yes, please, more on crumb quilts.
Technique videos are always fun! There are so many ways to do things, plus with so many new sewists/quilters joining our ranks, it would be good to help give them “lessons” that aren’t available readily right now. Some of us veterans might benefit from refreshers, too🤓
Hello Pat: I enjoy your tutorials and would be interested in a series about crumb quilts. Thank you.
Hi Pat enjoyed the segment on crumb blocks. I have tons of scraps so what neat project. I would like to see you do a one topic series every once in awhile. I so enjoy our daily get together so please don't stop doing those
I do like one method videos. This one was great. Much nicer and more organized (and just as easy) as the crazy quilt way.
For many years I would fill a Postage Bag with all my scraps - I made samples up for shops and lots of class samples for workshops - I had A LOT of scraps. When the bag was full I would send it off to a friend who had moved to Northumberland (hundreds of miles away) and she would share with the ladies in her new group. They would all be making crumb blocks.
They were thrilled and I kept a tidy space. 😇
A parcel arrived at my home and they had made me a quilt out of some of the fabrics that I sent 🥰. A lovely surprise. There are MANY crumb quilts keeping them all warm. Like your method of making them - I might even have a go myself 😉🤦🏼♀️
❤ to see a mini series on crumb quilting Pat.
Yes, I would really like a mini series with scraps!
Love, love the crumbs! NOW I know what to do with all my little scraps that I can't part with and still make them useful! I also like the idea of the different segments. Thanks Pat👍🐰
Yes, would love to see a whole segment on crumb blocks. I learned a great deal tonight. I have saved my scraps, and now I know how to sew them into a block. Thank you so much. Thank you for teaching quilting to a wide audience and including new quilters like me.
I would love to see more videos with a quilting segment.
Thanks for sharing your love and knowledge of quilting!
I enjoyed the lesson on crumb blocks and would love more of the same. You're such a great teacher and I've learned so much from you. I look forward to learning more! Thanks for all the time and energy you put into your channel! 💕
Yes! More on crumb blocks, please!
Yes please more crumbs❤️😊❤️
Yes Pat. Please do these mini tutorials. It really help getting your methods and thoughts as you work❤️❤️
I would love a video on you doing crumb blocks ! I am very intrigued by the idea and have a bin ready and waiting.
Would love to see focused videos from time to time - on techniques or like this one with the building the crumb block was terrific!
Loved today’s video. I have bought most of your books since last summer! I have been a “quilter” since 1983. My first class was in Silver Springs, MD and it was all hand sewing and quilting! I was a full time worker and mom and military spouse, moving almost every 2 to 3 years. I didn’t get to quilt mush during those years, but the love was still there. My challenge is still with colors. I have your book and several others, but still have trouble grasping it. A class or series on that would be great! I start every mornin with your video from the day before. Thanks so much!
Like the crumb block lesson. More please.
That said, I do appreciate your in-depth tutorials. I always learn something new ❤️.
This was wonderful, Pat. I've heard of crumb quilts, but I had no idea how to go about the process. New methods and techniques are always welcome.
I think ths would be fun. Good way to use up some scraps. This might help to understand color better
I love the Bee panel quilt. The grey honeycomb fabric would make great bee wings. I am really looking forward to see this quilt done. You are such a fast sewist Pat!
The thing about one process is that it makes it easier to find a video that is labeled as that process. Sometimes I have to go back through someone’s video(s) and jump around to find something specific they talked about and I am looking for.
Yes. Love the mini tutorial on crumb blocks and would love more.
I would really like video(s) on specific techniques. I enjoy learning from you!
I like the idea of having segments on a certain technique. I’ve learned a lot from you Pat! Thanks
Pat you have some of the Prettiest fabrics. I also Love how you put colors together. I would enjoy watching the process of crumb blocks.
thank you!
Yes please, more on the crumbs.
I love making crumb blocks but have not put them together yet. When I have a quilters dead-head, I piece crumbs...no pattern or reason - just fit them together.
Love your ideas to make them and look forward to more in the future.
Pat, I luv luv luv your videos, challenges and patterns. You're THE BEST! God bless...
This little tutorial was great! I like the extended thought process!
I think your little mini series every now and then would be fun. yes do it. : )
I look forward to seeing more of your ideas about crumb quilt blocks. Thank you for your unique, personal style of videos.
thank you for joining me Jeannine!
I just love watching your process with the crumb blocks. I'd love to see more, if you're up for it. I always learn from you! Thx for what you do!
I am keeping all my crumbs from sewcialites, guess I better start piecing a few crumb blocks. I got one top quilted yesterday, and another started today yay!!!! It’s progress. Thank you Pat for all your inspiration.
Love crumb blocks, have been making them for a few years in 6 and a half inch squares..have over a hundred! Have made a sleeping bag for my granddaughters doll as one project. Waiting for inspiration for rest. It’s a good project to just calm and relax me.
Loved the lesson on crumb blocks .... yes I would like to see more of this type video Thank You 😊
Yes for crumb blocks! They’re so fun & im always up for fun quilting. 😁💜
Yes I would like to see some more content on the crumb blocks if you do some more. I learn a lot from your videos.
I love the idea of a singular project video.
I definitely love the more focused video! When everything is jumbled in one, it's hard to find information I'm looking for from your videos. Love the crumb blocks!
Pat. In answer to your question about the show format, I like the way you do it now. This show is the best because you DO cover several things in one show. All your different projects and techniques. And when you show how you chose your fabrics is my favorite part. You explain why you do what you do , or don't do something. I like your style. Thanks.
Yes please Pat. Just love knowing what to do with all the small scraps. Just brilliant seeing you do it. Thank you so much.
yes I would like to see more on the crumb blocks -- also would be interested in how you've used them in quilts.
I love the format you have now. It’s like a quilty morning talk show. But the tutorial was much appreciated. I have a wall hanging that’s made with scraps and I have been struggling to piece it and this tutorial helped me so much!
I like the idea of a one subject video mixed in with your other videos. Thank you for all the great content!!
Yes I would like a video focused on crumb blocks. I love the idea!!!
Yes I like your idea as doing just a segment. As a new quilter it can all seem so overwhelming when I see a quilt design.
I like this new segment. As a new quilter, I love all of the instructions and tutorials that I can get. Thanks for all that you do, Pat.
I love the videos, especially when you walk through your thought process - colors, shapes, ideas. I haven’t saved very small pieces, but it looks like I should!
Yes I would love to see new techniques
I prefer the variety. Sometimes my attention span has a hard time following a straight line; however it works very well jumping around subject to subject. Doesn’t use up my mental resources as quickly as following a straight line every day. Love your videos this past year! And before!
I love crumb blocks. Yours are great. I would like a show with one technique on these.
Hi from Wyoming. I love to make crumb blocks. Using up scraps and there isn't any matching seams in my blocks, so they are easy and quick. Mine are multicolored.
I just recently "discovered" your RUclips channel, and I've really been enjoying all of your videos! Yes, I think segments on certain techniques would be really helpful for everyone, especially us quilting newbies. I'm loving the idea of "crumb" blocks, and I'm so glad to learn that even the smallest pieces of fabric can be used later, so now I'll be saving them instead of tossing them in the waste basket. Thanks for doing these!
These are cute, they also can be made leaving the angles and just keep going and then squaring it when it is as big as wanted. Relaxing and fun. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂
It would be fascinating to learn processes through crumb quilt blocks.
Yes please! Love new Crumb ideas. I have tons to do something with and really like not wasting fabric
I would love for you to have segments like you did with the crumb block process, that would be stand alone videos!
Crumb days would be fun!
Love this new sunflower block
I enjoyed the crumb block session. Yes I would like to see segment or show about this.
Yes please! I’d love one video on a design/technique!
Hi, Pat. I love the idea of having series videos, especially the crumb blocks. . I think it would be fun to watch your thought process and how you sew them together. I love you back! 🥰
I like the idea of scrap demo!
I love the idea of a segment on just one topic. I’ve learned a lot from this group and appreciate you Pat!
Yes please, love to see how scraps can be repurposed!
Would love to see more tutorial type videos. Doesn’t have to be often or on a schedule. Thank you for all you do. You are an inspiration!
Loved this lesson on crumb blocks. I would definitely like to see more. ❤️
I like the idea of learning one technique. I make crumb blocks but now after watching you, I've learned new tricks and tips! I'm a visual learner and you have been an inspiration to me! 🥰
Would love to see more on crumb blocks we all have crumbs. Thanks
I would enjoy watching and leaning as you sew.
A technique video once in awhile would be great, but only if you continue the format you have been doing this year. I so enjoy the chit-chat style, random ideas, showing tools, etc. and working on multiple projects. Maybe since I always have so many things in various stages I am working on so I can sew on what my heart tells me to do that day. Whether it’s 10 minutes or 30 minutes, I feel like I am having an interactive conversation with another quilter. So many other videos are just “ here is how you do.....”. But whatever you do, I will be watching.
Yes little lessons get your creative juices running Thank You! a crumb block project bag will be in my future ❤️
I love hearing your processes and I enjoy technique videos. No set schedule is OK with me -- just whenever you feel like it.
defiantly would like more crumb block info.
YES! Love the idea of crumb block specific videos!!!
I always enjoy listening to your thought process as you make the different quilts!
I like the way this went today. I saved all the scraps from making masks that I donated which was close to 2000. I want to make a crumb quilt block type of runner, quilt, not sure yet, to mark Covid19 with a good project. Still finishing up second wave of grandchildren’s masks and a table runner first.
What a great idea!
I really enjoyed the crumb block tutorial! Thanks
Ordered “Bee Grateful “. Thanks Pat. My daughter will be a grandmother in July. First time!!! Baby Talia Grace will call her “Honey”. 😍 Perfect lap quilt for her.
Yes please, would like more on this crumb process.
Yes, I like the learning videos. One of my goals for this year is to do a crumb/string quilt. Thanks for the tips Pat.
We must be more adventurous and spontaneous than a lot of quilters. Or maybe we have a touch of AADD. I like a variety of information, as you are now doing, on your videos. Thanks Pat.
thank you so much Karen! I enjoy doing my videos and happy to find like minded friends!!
Yes to the crumb blocks!
Yes, I like the idea of technique tutorials! Thank you for sharing.
