Thank you for sharing! 🥰 That's absolutely true; for cats, boxes are truly "magical." They love the sense of security in small, dark spaces where they can hide and then pounce unexpectedly. It's such a fun game! 🐱📦😄
About 40 years ago while I was working at the naval base my wife found a 4-5 week old kitten at our apt. door. She never grew up with any animals. She went right to Walmart and purchased everything and we had our first child. Boo kitty loved boxes and we had a large 3 BR apt. I made what my wife called - The Kitty Condo. It filled most of an empty BR & was 4-5 stories tall. We ended up with a 2nd kitty after I left the sliding glass door open on a weekend. Boo kitty brought home a girlfriend to share his kitty condo. They were so funny and full of play. Thanks for the video it brought back great memories.
Thank you for sharing such a lovely and touching story! Boo kitty and his girlfriend must have brought so much joy to your family. The "Kitty Condo" you built sounds amazing and must have been a paradise for the little cats. I'm glad the video helped bring back beautiful memories. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! 😊
Maybe you should order a bunch of boxes from Amazon. Then your cat will have the box the order came in plus several others to play in. I have seen RUclips videos posted by channels about people's cats in which they actually bought a bunch of cardboard boxes just for their cats to play in. Of course if you really wanted to do this it would be easier to buy the boxes at a local retail store.
@@Smilingpetworld One of the videos I referred to was titled "Cats' reaction to 9 boxes" by the channel Catz Club (yes they use a "z" in the word "Catz" instead of "s"). I thought there was another one by the channel Cole and Marmalade but I couldn't find one involving several boxes at once. They do have one called "A cat's guide to boxes". Sadly however Cole passed away a few years ago but they still have videos with him.
Exactly! It seems like from house cats to the big guys like lions and tigers, none of them can resist the charm of a box. It's just a 'cat instinct' thing! 😸🦁🐯
It's funny how a cat, after entering a box, treats anything outside the box as an attacker, even if it's the other cat they just saw. It's like "Defend The Box" mode is turned on.
Haha, cats might really think that! 😸 There's no evidence that cardboard smells like catnip, but it sure seems to have a mysterious attraction for our feline friends! 🐾📦
I go through a few boxes a month for my guys and girls, when I go shopping I pick up the ones they put out produce in, they like them the best and if they have holes in he bottom or sides that's even better, they try to pull their toys through the holes in the side and wrestle with that for a while, they fall asleep in it the holes on the bottom are perfect for them to get their nails in and claw.
When you buy a present for your cat, take the present out of the box and discard it then give the cat the box. There is no end to the joy your cat will have with the box.
@@Smilingpetworld like Christmas Day. Buy them a mouse toy and it’s fun for a short time. But those gift boxes, wrapping paper and ribbons are hours of enjoyment. 😻
@@brucesmith9144 Thank you for sharing! It's true that cats love surprises like gift boxes and wrapping paper more than toys. They often find great joy in the simplest things!
If you think boxes are fun, wait until you introduce your feline friends to those large cardboard tubes that e.g. carpet is rolled onto. These are the ultimate cat exploration tunnel!
@@BrianDrake-u2h Haha, that's right, Nermel is definitely one of the cutest cats! 😄 But there are plenty of other adorable cats out there too. Do you know of any others? 🐱💕

My cat loves Amazon deliveries. He gets a new box to play in
Ha ha. That sounds so cute! Your cat must really love boxes!

I remember watching a video showing lions and tigers playing in boxes. It just seems to be a cat thing.

I asked all of mine and they all said: "Why not?".
Haha, that's a fun response! 😄 Cats always know how to make us laugh!
Answer: cat brains are square, so they nicely fit in boxes. 😆
Haha, that makes sense! 😄 Maybe this is the scientific explanation for cats' love of boxes!
It's funny how a cat, after entering a box, treats anything outside the box as an attacker, even if it's the other cat they just saw. It's like "Defend The Box" mode is turned on.
So true! Once a cat is in the box, it treats it as its territory.
Aww, so damn cute!
Thanks!
I love dogs but I ADORE cats!!

If it fits, I sits.
Classic cat logic! 😸 No matter how small the box, they'll always find a way to make it work.
Very Nice
Thank you!

Sounds adorable! It's great to see them getting creative with the holes and having a fun time. Thanks for sharing this cute story!
Big cats (lions, tigers, leopards, etc) love boxes as well. You just need a bigger box.
That's right! Big cats also can't resist the allure of boxes. A larger box would be a 'paradise' for them!"
That's how you catch a cat.
Here's the secret to catching a cat!
When you buy a present for your cat, take the present out of the box and discard it then give the cat the box. There is no end to the joy your cat will have with the box.
o true! 😂 It’s funny how our cats are often more excited about the box than the actual gift. They just love their little hideaways!

Absolutely! Those cardboard tubes are like a playground for cats! 😺 They’ll have a blast exploring every inch of it!
You're missing the biggest reason. Cardboard smells a lot like catnip. Smell both of them and there is a lot of the same notes.
That's right! The smell of cardboard really does resemble catnip. This might explain why cats love boxes so much!
Lose the music
Thank you for your feedback! We'll consider adjusting the music in upcoming videos to improve the experience.
My cats, avoid boxes like the plague. no idea why . They also hate anything new :/
Oh, that’s strange! Most cats usually love boxes. May be your cats are a special exception!
People keep mailing them to Abu Dhabi?
