    I have to wonder how a S&W showed up in a "cheap" revolver lineup. However, I saw another similar video where they included both a S&W and a Colt, as well as KIMBER in the "budget" revolvers. I guess my idea of "cheap" or "budget" runs on the lower side than most...

    Some if these really are not bad. Charter is reliable with a lot of options.
    I have never had any issue with any of my Taurus revolvers.
    Granted, no where close fit, finish and trigger to a S&W or Ruger.
    My issue, I'd never, ever recommend a snub nose to any shooter that are not revolver competent. Snubbies are not easy to shoot, and shoot accurately. It takes a lot of lead down range to be effective over 8-10 feet with a snub.
    And I certainly wouldn't ever recommend anything without target sights. Same reasons as mentioned above.

    I own the Charter Arms Mag Pug. Worked well for years and then the cylinder was out of alignment with the barral. Just enough to skin the outside of the bullet and throw frag into my face. I felt pin-pricks on my face and the range master stopped me and said that I had blood running down my cheeks. I sent it to the company and they returned it. I tested it and it seemed fine. About four boxes of ammo (over several months) and the cylinder would not rotate unless I shook the gun. I boxed it up and it has sat for a couple years as I am unable to ship it back to the company due to FEDEX and UPS going anti-gun on my.

    There is no need to put a red dot on a revolver. Anything that you're shooting that's thirty 30 ft. or less, it will make no difference between an iron sight and a red dot. Now granted some people will say that site acquisition is much quicker. But again at that short of a distance, which is what revolvers are made for, it's really not that big of a difference. At 10 yd you can pull your pistol from your hip and just shoot straight without even aiming with the sights, and you're going to hit the target. I do it all the time with my Ruger Wrangler 22 revolver. Playing like the OK corral. And I will pull it from my holster and shoot all five shots and hit center mass every time. Sometimes I even mess around and attempt to fan the hammer. LMAO 😂

      I agree; aftermarket front sights are overrated for snub nose revolvers (imo)... The stock sights are perfectly fine for them, and are calibrated right. I can get in accurate shots with my snubbies out to 10, 15, even 20 yards - with no modifications to their front sights. Maybe this makes sense for longer barreled 'target revolvers', shooting at longer distances, but that's about it.

      @scooterbob4432 Год назад +2

      You're right, sir. Mixup98 video demonstrated that if you carry a snub nose revolver, you have to learn how to point shoot not only with one hand but also with your weak hand. I think he got a good point there like when someone attempts to stab and rob you in a dark alley where you have to immediately draw your revolver and won't even have time to look at your front sight at all. Seconds really count in a life and death situation.

    I would suggest a 4" barrel, no shorter than 3" , you have to practice ALOT to be accurate with a shorter barrel, acquiring skill takes patient and practice, having a laser tuned in at 30ft will prove to be worth every penny . Learn safety and All the Laws in your area about self defense and remember there's a Lawyer attached to every bullet ! Get your self a small safe , Amazon will deliver it to your house , there are many to choose from, never let your Firearms fall into the wrong hands . Pointing a firearm at anyone other than someone trying to harm you is a felony, at a Police Officer is five years prison sentence automatic, ALWAYS identify with a hand held flashlight NOT a weapons light, again prison sentence .

    Why are revolvers so expensive? Not a whole lot of new technology in revolvers not enough to justify the price. Is it the machinery involved, knowledge of revolvers, lack of gunsmith’s. You can damn near by two semiautomatics for the price of a revolver. I can’t believe they sale the damn things for the prices they ask. Taurus is getting there but they still don’t justify the price. I’ll stick with my semiautomatics, prices on them are getting stupid, I just don’t get the revolvers prices.

      You would be surprised to find out that vintage Colt and Smith & Wesson revolvers are getting more expensive than brand new ones. I just saw a couple of older used Smith Model 36-3" and a Model 37-3" selling for more than a thousand dollars each. Same with a vintage Colt Agent snub nose. I went back to that same gun store a week later to buy some 22 target ammo and to my surprise, they were all sold out, according to the store clerk.

      A REVOLVER WILL ALWAYS FIRE ! DROP IT, GET IT WET, OWN IT FOR 300 YEARS. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE.
      I OWN BOTH.
      WHEN I WANT A SURE THING I REACH FOR MY Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum 4 inch barrel Pachmayr grips. Actually the first handgun I ever purchased when I was 18 years old. I just turned 61. I have more guns an ammo that I know what to do with.
