The owner /boss gave him the truck. I wanted to give my brother piece of mind and personal pride . it took me about a month and a 1/2 and when he picked it
Up . I alone had 12 hours in polishing the American racing 15inch wheels from rusted shut to showroom shine , he drove it to work the next day and every employee couldn’t believe how it looked. His boss told him “that’s the same truck I gave you ?”

Nice job, amazing how goodie can turn out. This proves a car can never get old and worn.... For the connectors I have a great tip, some of them, like airbag and act are fluid sensitive and start to corrode wich can bring on errors.... I use balloons and even condoms (ys really, but without lube :) ) to pull over the connectors and use a small strap to secure.... works very time. Vaseline is also non conductive and can be used to prevent moisture....

With these older vehicles restorative detail really takes it to the next level.
Experience will play an important role as to not further damage existing components and panels in the cleaning process.
P&S, Geist, is truly a great brand and the product themselves makes it enjoyable to work with and the results speak for themselves.
Did a restoration similar to this with less leather repair using colourlock system.
Time demanding detail but nothing beats the clients reaction when they come to collect💯

I just did something similar to a 2013 Tacoma. Took out the entire interior and cleaned every interior panel, installed new carpet, new leather seat covers. Took out the headliner and cleaned it. Also did sound deadening on every panel. It was a ton of work and took maybe 60 hours working at least 8 or more at a time. Still have plenty to do to the exterior but for now the interior is mint.
