This year has been mostly about DBFZ for me, but I thought I'd wrap it up with a video for my favorite character, albeit a bit casual.

Do you play games other than fighting games like triple a titles or your main intrest in video games is only fighting games
Actually I've only been play fighting games for about 4 years. Before that were a variety of games like the Kingdom Hearts series, Devil May Cry 3 & 4, Warcraft 3, Megaman games on GBA and DS, the Final Fantasy series (hope my profile picture hints this), the Pokemon main series, etc. But there're only these many games I can run on my current PC (and I use my PS4 for DBFZ almost only on weekends), so not much other than a few fighting games and some older games on emulator.
PS: Let me just pin this. Anything else you'd like to know? 😂

GeForce Shadowplay for recording on PC.
AVerMedia C875 for PS4 recording.
Adobe Premiere Pro for editing (sometimes with After Effects when I need more effects, like when making my channel trailer). If it's just a random short clip I'd use Sony Vegas instead because it's faster and creates no cache.
Y. Xiao When devil May cry 5 or kh3 comes out can you make a stylish combo montage, I know for a fact you would go crazy with it

i can appreciate the character, that was ALREADY THE BEST IN THE GAME, THE ONE ARC SYS SAID, "he needs buffs.", ending the year with some of the coolest combos out there. i wanted to get GG, but i feel that the game has been out for so long, that it wouldnt be worth spending cash on since there is probably another GG game comin out here in about a year or so. i'll just learn the hard way from that game. wish they gave kid buu as much love as they did Johnny. btw, that insta kill transition... mind blown. destroyed. i wish i had a brain right now.
Interestingly other than Omito there really hasn't been any Johnny player winning or making it to the highest stages. I really like this game because it heavily rewards character knowledge and loyalty for most, not the kind of game where you can afford to easily jump ship after each balance patch to the new top tier characters.
Yea I do wish there'd be a new GG soon (or new content to Xrd). They did say they were working on a new one during EVO 2018 but with DBFZ, GBFVS and this new ArcRevo tour, I doubt we'd even have a glance at it in 2019...
it's upsetting to actually accept it. BUT, i am optimistic (another word for hopelessly enthusiastic just to get my dreams crushed in a heart beat) and will think maybe either towards the summer or the end of 2019 (cuz fuck it! why not! if it aint Evo, NETHERREALM, it's gonna be the Game Awards!) they will release a trailer of it that looks sick as FUCK! and depending how 2019 goes, i might be able to play online with some peeps in DBFZ and Soul Calibur VI, as well as whatever else i buy. maybe i'll pick up Xrd Rev 2 just for the labs and the combos like im currently doing for DBFZ (kinda in a similar issue as you, with college and all of that, as well as having a part time job and currently looking for a new one [cuz it SUCKS]), but other than that, imma just wait and see where the wind takes me for now.

To answer your question, if you have meter to RC after throw then perhaps you can, but I think Johnny's air throw is best for set play due to how long they stay laying

I been playing GG since the begining and never came close to any of these combos w jhonny or any of the routes. I learned so much w this. Please do Sol, hes my main and i wana see some new stuff please. Oh and Order Sol i still cant make good combos with him

What button layout would you recommend for a new johnny player? I am having somewhat of a hard time with A. Not sure if I should stick with A or not.
It really is up to you, as long as you are comfortable with pressing any of the other 4 buttons while slightly holding on to H (cancelling Mist Finer). I'm using all my fingers and my layout is PKSH on the first row and D on the first button of the second row. If you don't use your pinkie finger, you can also try PKS on the first row and HD on the second row. Ideally I think H should be at a position where your thumb or pinkie can naturally reach, so as to avoid hindering the movement of your other fingers.

You think there is still a strong competitive scene for this game? I've been curious to try it but I think it might be too late since this game has been out for a while.
I think this ARCRevo tour will at least keep it going well for another year. But the game itself hasn't had an update for a while tho.
Is it too late to buy this game and is it that hard of a game ?
I guess the online player base (which is not big to begin with) will only continue to shrink over time. But I'd highly recommend to give the game a try if you have some spare cash; Steam occasionally has great discount for this game.
It's a very hard-core fighting game. Not as difficult as its predecessor GGXX, but definitely much tougher to learn compared to the mainstream games like DBFZ and SFV.
it's hard af lol especially for someone like me coming from Street Fighter. If you pick this up, expect to invest a lot of time to get good
Daniel Thompson I feel like the transition from SF to GG is harder compared to using GG to learn how to play fighting games (but that’s just me).

Johnny was the only character I didn't like in GG XRD. I know he's top tier and all, but that wasn't it. He just seemed... lazy compared to everyone else.
Haha I like all of them but he's my absolute favorite. I thought he's really cool. Wakamoto's voice also added some spice to it.
