@@BasedKuuTooGourmet I'd say practice defense then get to ur offensive play it's almost like a sport and learning some basic frame data and plus frames will help alot there's a RUclipsr named jmfrofts who has a video talking about frame data/plus frames and how u can apply it to ur playstyle. fighting games all have framedata so u can apply it to pretty much any fighting game u play as long as u practice the game....and for a suggestion there's a game called dragonball fighterz developed by the same people who made guilty gear and it's made a little simple for newcomers to this it would help a lot I think if u started off with it then maybe got back to guilty gear but it's just a suggestion its completely fine if u want to start off with guilty gear but yea I'd say just learn framedata and it will help a lot
First, do all system mechanic trials. Next, do character specific trials. Lastly, pick your character and learn your bread and butters and max damage combos. This game is very difficult, and no amount of guidance can help with that, but the deeper you understand how the game's mechanics work, the faster youl'll progress.
Insane execution. 5p -> carcasses raid blew my mind. The level of timing you have to do in order not to make a mistake on a jump cancellable move what a complex input such as charged down to up is crazy.
It's a great tech to learn. The Combo setting teaches you something aimilar by having you perform Close 5S -> Carcass Raid as part of his signature block pressure combos. I believe it's Advanced Combo 8 on the Combo Setting of the game. You can get started with that one.
@@NastyKugogo No, not like urien in third strike. It holds your charge for a bit, so you can charge something, do a move with direction that's not down, and then use the charge to cancel it. But you can't "partition" the charge like in 3rd strike, once you let go of down you're going to lose all of it.
I can't say I'm comfortable with charge characters in fast-paced games like this, but learning character with very different mechanics really opens up my perspectives in fighting game controls and concepts.
@@thegoose8663 not really. His charge time is pretty easy in my opinion. If you hate venom charge move, youre going to hate uniclr vatista charge move even more.
This is hands down the best Venom Combo compilation I have ever seen in my life. The execution required for some of these is insane. 99% of these are like 1 frame links and frame perfect charging. Also the editing was amazing with perfect transitioning.
@@ReallyPhilly215 There are more factors to consider in Xrd combos like pushback scaling and juggle height scaling. Also there are a lot of character-specific routes, sometimes to the point that you almost need to apply a different route for every different character for optimal damage (or noticeably different rhythm for the same route).
@@hwanniggles187 man... you are really talking to xiao like you know all? yes, all arcsys game, yes, for some things are similar, but fighterz/GG/BB are different games regarding how to put comboes and scaling, it's not near the same. i know lot of people love blazblue gameplay and hate guilty gear one, and viceversa
You see, I have no idea how good Venom is in this game seeing as how literally nobody who competes actually plays this character, but this is what Beerus should've been in FighterZ. Not some hot garbage character. But this.
Venom's actually fairly high tier right now in Rev 2.1 but there's a few things with him that can make him very "tournament unfriendly". Beerus's gameplay concept is I think only similar to Venom on the surface, and he has a lot of issues on his own+ I think his game play just doesn't work in a game like DBFZ with superdashes, fast ki blasts, assists and kamehamehas.
Nemesis There’s really no way to make Beerus play like Venom. Venom benefited a lot from mechanics in Xrd, like easy knockdown from 2D or 6H, no various way of waking up, RC/YRC, no common tools to eliminate neutral (like SD and Vanish). On top of that, Venom can set up a couple of balls very easily and in very consistent ways. It’s too volatile in DBFZ.
God tier execution as always. I got this game super late. I main Ramlethal but the last vids you did on her were a while back and I'm not sure if those combo routes are obsolete or still working. Hopefully you can make time for her as the game seems to be safe from future updates on nerfing/buffing characters.
The game hasn’t had an update since early last year (and probably will stay the same for all eternity) so all the combos in that Ram video are still viable. Have fun :)
I have absolutely no idea what moves he's using since i don't play him but it's entertaining watching someone's entire life chip away after being overwhelmed by big black and blue balls
@@YXiao i'll wait patiently when drastic nerfs impact gogeta and you'll do something cool about that. oh well, if it's an arcsys game, you can do what character you want
I might be way too late now, but i've been trying to do 2p >5p (whiff) > Stinger Aim in the #6 combo and it keeps not connecting. It seems like venom doesn't get pushed back far enough after I do it. Is there some kind of trick I'm missing?
Whenever Venom's normal connects on a ball, it would cancel his pushback. So you can try to do 2P faster, so that only its later active frame would touch the red ball and allow Venom to be pushed back during its earlier active frames.
As you block attacks (without using Faultless Defense), your RISC gauge increases (the little gauge underneath your health bar). When an attack connects on a character with RISC value, the damage scaling of that attack is relieved. Also when RISC is above 50%, attack would automatically becomes a counter hit, which has no damage scaling at all.
You should be able to get work done with him once you know how to loop dash j.KSHD a couple times and set up a couple of K ball formations for simple high-low mix.
Don't get discouraged by attempting to do a combo vid like this or even trying to do one combo. Start by trying to replicate one moment in one of these combos, and go from there. When you get a lot more familiar with Venom, try to watch this combo and see if you can try to picture what inputs must be pressed in a five second span in one of the combos. Once you get to the point where you can recognize the moves that Venom's doing in real time, you'll already be well on your way to replicating some of this nutty stuff. Or better yet learning how to incorporate pieces of them to use in actual matches, whether on a player or against the CPU. Keep playing and you'll be surprised at how well you get, as long as you understand that you can't get to the top of the mountain in a day. LET'S ROCK!
Why do some combos with a small number of hits do some much damage while longer ones sometimes do less. I've never played guilty gear so I don't know how it works
There's also proration in this game, like in Venom's case if you start a combo with 2K, damage of all the remaining moves in that combo is further decreased down to 70% in addition to the usual damage scaling. If a combo starts with a counter hit, then you get free damage from the hits that caused counter. And then some characters have higher defense than others, so the same combo would do less damage on them.
I intend to save Gogeta for much later and treat it like a video #2 (unfortunately I wasn't able to play when he was released. Hopefully Broly comes out at a time I'm free). There are plenty good Gogeta videos out there and I don't think I'd make something much different at this point.
