Ram is the kind of character that has a million ways to start a combo but has only a few core routes to continue with it. Here's one video that I think would be helpful if you'd like to learn her oki and setups: • ラムレザル 状況別コンボまとめ RAMLET...

I wasn’t around my PS4 the past two weeks so I worked on other games on my PC instead.
Back to DBFZ after this.
Ram really reminds me of the trouble I have with Majin Buu… Both have insane mix-up potentials and hundreds of ways to start a combo, but afterwards there really aren’t too many routes to make things interesting (albeit I think Ram is better than Buu on that regard). Anyways…

My first fighting game was GG Strive, but I really wanna get into XRD Rev 2 just based on how absolutely awesome Ram plays in XRD compared to Strive(Though i still like playing Strive Ram too). These combos go on for YEARS bro. Awesome video!!!
I love how you can do long combos and it would take only 40% meaning the match can last more lengthy and feel like more of a skill based feel...so beautifuk

OMG I LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!! THANK YOU FOR A DECENT RAM VID!!🥰 I just picked up Xrd rev 2 and I instantly fell in love with Ram after my first match with her. I only knew little tips like how most of her tension comes from sword attacks and stuff like that. It could just be me, but I feel like strategy is a something that should be considered with Ramlethal when placing her minions/swords.
Yea her entire game plan is setting up swords after knockdowns or to fool you with low/overhead/commandthrow resets in corner strings. Check out the video in the description.

Looking back I think my transitions back then were too bright... It wasn't until S3 DBFZ that I did something about this.

XX, Xrd and Strive all have very different mechanics. I highly recommend giving the older titles a try.

Im coming back after long break from FG so like my muscle memory is sht but I still have my fundamentals thank god, Thing I learn that I didn't notice earlier is Ram combo starter the green X( too lazy to look up name) is not as bufferable as it was in original xrd I feel (the versoin of these GG I played the most) or at least when u do down dusk, also her swords input can fk up your combo cause it too bufferable lol I sometimes complete whole strings and she throw out swords and I'm like not even pressing any inputs now overall love her.
How do you develop the creativity to come up with these combos? Like seriously, I do not comprehend how you can invent this stuff.
We don't go into practice mode thinking that we are going to make a specific combo like this or that. In fact most often after enough fiddling with old routes, newer combo routes just happen themselves. Having known the characters well helps with the process. Sometimes random things also happened due to mistakes and we will attempt to re-enact that sequence, and interesting combo routes can be found.
@@YXiao I've been feeling "stale" for a while so coming up with new stuff is hard for me. Probably because I've been playing older GG games for years.
@@MimebladeGMail Yea I get your point totally. Doing the same thing over and over again tends to get you stuck in inertial thinking. It helps to free up your mind by playing different games or a character with completely different style occasionally.

Mine are mostly for fun or exhibition, so not really something you have to master for gameplay. Let loose your mind once in a bit and you can do these things too~

Keys Lockhart wouldn’t say it makes you bad, newbies can pick it up for sure but when u actually wanna style on Chiggas with mean specific combos it ain’t easy. I ve just picked up guilty gear again tho, break from tekken, but will prob go back to fighterz too, I love DBZ but game just got stale but that’s coz I didn’t bother to put in the time and brushed it off as a scrub game when really I know it isn’t lol

She's a very fun character. Put in time and you'd see yourself doing Ram's combo effortlessly.
What should I do first (after the tutorials) to learn the game ?
Did you go through the Missions (those that need 5 consecutive successes to pass)? They do a great job of teaching the mechanics. Combo trials are fine too but you can also learn by watching matches. Look for match footage on keeponrock.in/#/
