How Honing Made 300 More Horsepower

Can honing get you 300 extra horsepower? This is the topic of conversation for this video, as Lake Speed Jr. and I continue our discussion about the enhanced technology benefits available to today's engine builders. The question was posed by Lake as it was presented to him by a builder who was already producing massive horsepower numbers but was surprised to discover that he was not realizing all of the gain available to him by simply improving his honing technique. After about 500 miles without honing a V8, one will have about 8 horsepower. Had one honed that V8, after 500 miles it would have all the horsepower. So, yes.
