Thanks Dude. I have to get myself one of those chargers. Thanks again.
It's definitely worth it! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Very helpful.
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it.
Is it better to disconnect the cables when charging?
In order to charge. You need to connect negative to negative, positive to positively, then turn on the power and select the appropriate mode.
Can I charge while terminals are connected?
Hello. Thanks so much for watching. I would not recommend this. I prefer to remove the positive and negative connections and then connect the charging clamps.
You should always consult the battery manufacturer for best practices.
Also, you can read the manual for the charger.
Are your lights supposed to blink while charging? All my lights are solid
I checked on my charge about 30 minutes after I posted that question - light went to green for charged and it started right up - Jeep 2016 patriot - thank you!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. I'm really glad this video helped you!
Does the car have to be running when charging the battery?
No. The positive and negative wires from the car should be disconnected from the car battery while charging.
@@MyRealLifeTransformation I just charged mine and it works. How long will a charged battery last if the alternator is fine (no complaints on the alternator from the Honda dealership I took it to)
@mikaeladisse8641 if the alternator is good, the battery will work fine as long as you are actively using it. It's when the car or whatever vehicle is not in use that the battery dies. Also, after a certain amount of time, the battery naturally breaks down, and you start losing cranking amps. When the battery goes bad like that, you have to get a new one.
