This rocks on the switch, so much fun … Love the passing system in this game… They need to keep going with this an evolve, add play calling, defensive play control… Love this game, really enjoying it …
Oh yea so the bullet pass is also on mobile and I learned that you have to throw the bullet a little bit in front of the receiver so they can catch it. If you try to bullet the ball to them where they are at they will drop the ball. Hope this helps any new players
I honestly can't get enough of this game. Running seems to have gotten a bit more fair with updated. Popping off stiff arms now. Passing is addictive as hell. Tho my guys never catch bullets. I'd like to see a general quick play mode so I can change teams and names and have that standard. 2p would be amazing
I know New Star games have pushed back on people asking for for playable defense, but I hope this game blows up enough that they can invest in it to the point of figuring out some way to play with your defensive players too. It's a great game for the price though.
its a toss up for me. I have fun playing quick games and only doing offense but a good meeting point in my opinion would be to allow defensive strategy to at least give the user some control
@@WildLionGames Yeah I would say from a game design aspect what really hurts about the no Defense thing is as a Player I feel more incentives to build offensively with players I can utilize. It also would help to give the teams you play against some character too, but again these are definitely "sequel" ideas as parts of the core game here would have to be changed too drastically for it to be the same game.
I’m really looking for a football game that gives a Madden-style playbook selection. In fact, just Madden ‘93 would be enough for me… perhaps with Joe Montana Sports Talk football for novelty value.
maaannnn sorry I'm getting to you so late you probably already know the answer. but you press Y after you've dropped back to throw before you press the throw button
It’s not really 8-bit style… the resolution, color palette, number of onscreen sprites and full-screen zoom-scaling are way beyond what most 16-bit systems could achieve, let alone 8-bit. Even the NeoGeo might struggle.

Do physical controls WORK in this? I play the iOS version all the time. Its TOUCH SCREEN! Does this version NOT support touch screen!!? And is there anything else new? The biggest rotten problem with this game is there’s NO SEASON or CAREER STATS. Total passing, rushing, etc.
Don’t really get your comment? Yes physical controllers work…it’s on the nintendo switch And no it doesn’t support touch screen as the switch isn’t touch screen There are season and career stats for individual players. You can see them in their player profile when you select their name
Sorry I meant, does this game support TOUCH SCREEN? The Switch DOES support touch screen. It always has. This game on iPhone works great with touch screen so I would hope that carries over to Switch. I also meant TEAM stats… during a season, can you see which teams have most yds, pass yds, rush yds, most points, etc etc? Player stats are good but I wouldve preferred team stats. So in general, besides for the physical controls, what else is new in this game that mobile versions dont have?
@@supercommando440 ahhhh I gotchya I see what you're saying. 1. - do I need to turn on touch screen? Also by the way, if it makes you feel any better about the price, I'd almost guarantee they would not have been able to give the game for free on Switch with how Nintendo runs the eShop and takes a cut from every sale.
agree with both of yall. I only bring it up b/c some people might be upset by it and I have some stingy gamer friends who didnt even want to pay 99 cents for the mobile game lol. But forreal like you'll spend $10 at McDonalds but not $5 on a game with a lot of depth cause it lacks a big name? c'mon. glad yall agree with me

@@ozzymandias7649 100% with ya. I find myself more and more turning on my old Xbox or 360 and playing those games just to get away from the constant barrage of microtransactions
You still gifting a copy of this game? Do we just have to comment? This looks interesting wish you could play defense but still looking like it has a lot of charm to it.
I just simply don’t get it. This game got extremely boring. You can master this game in days. I played this when it was free and the strategy is just so basic and repetitive.

oooh good call. ok so really the only difference then is kickoff return. I'll give that a try when throwing a bullet pass
Damn, guess retro bowl got pretty popular
It really did
Right! Crazy it’s now on console, come a long ways
Not sure if somebody already said this, but on kick returns you can press the dive button to take a knee for a touchback.
Oh no way! Hell yeah that’s dope
You can also click the juke button as well
Bro I played it mobile it's a lot of fun I really hope it comes to playstation
So much fun on mobile and I gotta say it’s just as fun on the switch. Totally playing this on the plane
Man I really want it to come to Xbox and Play station
Man what a great addition to the switch. Now I need to get a switch, so I can enjoy this game
This game belongs on the Switch
For bullet passes to work, angle the throw to slightly over the receiver. Hitting them directly will end in a drop.
so what you're telling me is I just need to get good haha. thanks for the tip
I'm just trying to give advice...that comes with getting good.
It also helps to throw while they are running out throwing barley passed them. They will catch it and is usually harder for them to intercept
If you dive in the end zone on a kick its a touch back
Thanks! I guess I’m just an idiot lol

I’d love a review copy! I’m interested because I love old school
I got a kick return TD on this before
It's great, I kind of wish they allowed you to play defence as well tho. Joe Montana 8-bit game could do it.
The camera seems more zoomed in on the switch. It feels harder to throw deep balls.
I’m interested in a copy.
I play on iPhone with a controller. Love it
