Fluid viscosity changes when fluid is warm it thins out and thickens when cold...maybe that's what makes it harder to shift?
still use that Jegs XHD converter behind it? or did you go back to the old converter?

I kinda agree but at the same time I love the stock look in this car. Matter of fact we’re dumping the monster tach since we no longer need it and I’ve bought 3 different switch panels at this point but have intentionally not installed them because I live when people look in the car and say shit like “this didn’t look like a racecar inside”. 🤣 Plus that stock steering wheel and column are allowing me to run my brake and bump buttons on the wheel with zero cords hanging around getting tangled on shit. 😉

Definitely! Granted I’m only on 3lbs of boost in this video but there’s zero signs of slippage from the transmission or converter now. Hopefully it stays solid at 20psi!

Man you don’t know how bad I wish we had a quarter mile track near me. Everything here is 1/8 mile. The only quarter mile track within 200 miles of me is Bristol and it’s usually so packed you’ll sit in the staging lanes for three hours just to make one pass so it’s just not worth it to even make the trip.

This was suggested to me. What is the car/setup, year engine etc? Why is the steering wheel airbag equipped?

I guess I'll be calling dave... one of my biggest mistakes is putting a 4l80e in manual reverse shift.
Give ‘em a call for sure. He can make that 4L80 do what you want as well if you’d like to keep that overdrive. 👍
@BadLuckGarage it's just crazy that you really don't hear or see alot of people run good numbers like you and others with glides and 400s. All I hear is .. man you can't get those numbers with a 80e. Thanks for the info.. you a real one 💯. You believe in helping others..
Honestly you should be able to turn the same numbers with a 4L80 as you can with a TH400, it’s just gonna cost you a lot more.

Yea at the 7,000 rpm shift out of 1st gear she’s already cooking at 60-62mph. The speed comes fast now. Gonna come a lot faster at about 22psi. 😈

I’ve done 3600 after the video in my driveway but I’m still having issues building more than 3lbs sitting on the 2-step. May give you a call this weekend if that’s ok. I’ve got a few questions.

Yea I’m curious does the target boost for staging only work when I have the main boost control turned on or does it automatically work when I have the transbrake button pressed? I’m kinda confused on that because it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Maybe I don’t have it set up correctly?
@@BadLuckGarage yes if the mac is disabled it's not going to do anything other than gate
@@brentspence3379 That’s what I was wondering. IS the mac valve disabled if the master boost controller is turned off or should the transbrake button override that just for staging boost control? Because there’s a box that you check for the staging boost control that says “activate with transbrake” or some shit like that. That’s why I’m confused.

Sorry brother. Someone already called dibs on it a couple months ago if I decide to get rid of it. I’m thinking about just rebuilding it for a future project though to be honest. Kinda got something cheap I’m wanting to build with Uncle Ray.
