- It's moving season! Today I take you through my east village apartment tour, as well as my NEW NYC apartment tour with my studio on the upper west side! I talk about renting, how I negotiated my rent, what $2600 (or less) will get you in NYC, etc.
Hope this helps anyone who's moving to NYC for the first time, or just moving apartments!

First - Thanks for sharing this. Second - I literally am in the same situation. Moving apts to feel safer/ recent ex/ bat shit crazy neighbors. So I feel you on soooo many levels. Im looking for a place now and I was looking for a one bedroom but now you've made me more open to studios if the space can be separate. I think we have around the same budget too! Good luck to you girl! I hope your new space is like ur sanctuary. & for ppl bringing up that you showed ur places location... they clearly dont know how big the city is and even if you're next to that museum is still a needle in a haystack.

sorry if you already mentioned and i missed it, but were you able to visit before signing your new lease? im looking to move out rn (in nyc too) and a lot of places online are only doing virtual tours but im too nervous to sign for something without seeing it in person first!
Yes! had to be self guided though so no on from management could go with! A lot of places are uploading virtual tours though!

I'm getting so tired of hearing people whining about being depressed about staying home because of COVID-19. Everybody knew it was going to be temporary. It was never going to last forever. Read a book! Go grocery shopping once a week and have lunch out. It's not the end of the world. If you're falling apart you need psychological help and it has nothing to do with the virus.
