Sometimes im really white, sometimes im neutral, sometimes im tan. 😂 idk i have black hair (probs they call it superr duperr dark brown bc when im below the sun my hair is brown.) and brown eyes.

I can kinda see that you're a cool tone in your profile. Every human has a yellow pigment in their skin but it doesn't mean everybody is warm--this is a common misconception.
Or you could really be a neutral. That means you're not leaning completely towards warmness or coolness. But maybe, you lean towards dark or light colours, OR bright or muted suits you more. You're either a neutral-warm or neutral-cool.

I'm a brunette with blue/gray eyes, I burn but then it turns into a tan, I mostly wear just about any color, blue is my favorite. I prefer either silver or white gold as apposed to yellow gold. and my vains are blue.

i want to be a makeup artist and i am mildly colorblind. i tell you i might reconsider my specialty to shape because this is infuriating, but i learned that taking care of my eyes and getting more sleep helps ALLOT. Your tip about the white paper against skin is simply brilliant. Many people are color blind and I have a theory that most people with the wrong foundation undertone are because it really becomes an afterthought but since color correcting is in vouge now we look harder.

i have a huge dilemma right now
some of my veins appears to be blue some are green
i love wearing silver jewellery since it's my personal preference
but my hair is almost ebony with a hint of warmth in it so makes it a dark brunette (also giving me hard time to find a great eyebrow product since most of the ebony shades looks blue and dark brunette looks reddish)
i love wearing pink lips warm bronze eyes and also berry shades and i hate oranges it makes me look weird
during the winter i wear a lot of jewel tones and during summer i like to wear neutrals and earthy tones
i have very yellow undertone to my skin and i always thought i'm a worm tone person and there's never a foundation that matches ,but both warm and cool looks ashy on me and i feel like im always in between shades like nc 25 is too light for me but yellow enough nc 30 is too orange but the richness in it is just right like that
so i started to question if i'm neutral undertones

I am Angela, I have dark hair, dark brown eyes, olive- slight tanned skin. The veins in my wrist looks blue but i am confused, my wardrobe was full of black, navy, pink but nowadays m trying to play with colors so have added some coral, yellow and red. With the paper test, I didn't understand what do you mean by bouncing color. Where am i supposed to look? And with the jewelry test, I feel both look good on me. I tend to use both gold and silver equally. I tend to tan easily. Please help me find my undertone. I am completely confused!!!

I'm neutral-cool, my veins are blue, my skin on arms and chest are pretty fair, I have light brown hair, light mint green eyes, (freckles on my nose) and silver jewelry looks best on me, on some areas like my face or arms I burn but like my feet in the summer when I wear flip flops go super dark right away

I think I’m a neutral. I have a mixture of green and blue veins, the paper test always turns out different depending on the way I look at it (sometimes a greenish warm color, sometimes peachy blue), both silver and gold work for me, and I usually don’t burn-I tan really slowly. I have blue eyes, brown hair (was blonde when I was a kid), and pale skin.
I think I'm a neutral? I have trouble telling whether or not my veins are purplish or blue-green (they seem like both). I feel like gold jewelry looks best on me and I tan slowly - I rarely ever burn. My hair is black-brown and I have dark brown eyes. Still not sure, though

Thank you!! I finally think I'm neutral.. sometimes I see photos of myself with cool tone and others with warm tone.. It's very hard for me I don't usually wear foundation because I have never found my perfect shade. I'll have to go and test lots of shades :D Thabks again you've helped me a lot!

Hi! I have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes (both hair and eyes are black out of the sun and brown in the sun), my skin is yellow or tan. I can't tell if I tan easily or burn easily because I have this skin condition where my skin hurts when I walk out with shorts (since it's mostly on the legs) then my arm seems to turn red then tan at times but I can't tell. My veins on my wrist are confusing as well because the big vein is green yet all the other smaller veins are violets same with my chest, my skin is golden yet there's pink, violet, and hints if red.. I'm confused. 😫
Me too!!! My veins color are green and violet. I am still confused if I am neutral or warm. But I look good with golden and silver jewelry, so maybe I am neutral. Not really sure X(

In my opinion you have a warm undertone. You just described a lot of things that come with having a warm undertone. The fact that you get pale doesn´t affect your undertone because a lot of pale girls can have a warm undertone too. Of course I haven´t seen you in person so it´s hard to tell, but from what you just told, I would say that you have a warm undertone.

That's because of makeup or some fake tan. Remember, she said neutral can switch. I've done her test and it is very effective.

do you get burnt or tan? or both? Yours are similar with mine. My legs and face always get burnt awfully like a shrimp, however, my hands burnt and then tan. I got confuse if im neutral or cool. but most of things that compliment me are on cool sides.

I have dark brown hair. Brown eyes. Not pale but not tan. My veins are blue and green. I sometimes burn but sometimes tan, I usually have nothing happen at all. I have black clothing. creme. colorful. I like silver better because I just don't like the color of gold at all. It just isn't pretty to me. I have no idea what I am. I'm going to guess I'm neutral? May I have some confirmation here ppl?
My veins look bluish green during the day, but at night look green. My skin compared to yellow skin tones looks red, but on its own looks more yellow. My skin in indoor, window lighting and photos looks gray.. my arms and legs look red, my neck, chest and belly are without a doubt yellow toned. Neutral toned foundations are too gray, yellow foundations are either too yellow or not enough, pink is out of the question, but cool toned clothing look best on me.. I give up :/
And warm toned hair colors wash me out, so I always have to opt for ashy or neutral hair colors, my skin tans within in 15 mins of being outside and my face is the only thing that burns. My natural hair color is a number 2 (deep brown, almost black) eyes are chocolate brown. Gold looks awful on me

Im a mixed blood with white. Yes! You are same with mine too. Except i have more blue veins. I get burnt and then tan. Only face burnt like a shrimp.

i have black hair, just black eyes, my veins are kinda greenish in some place and blueish at some place and also purple at some place. i live in a tropical country and im indonesian so my skin is kinda tan rn but if i went to a non tropical country, my skin would look like those chineese skin. when i go swimming my skin will get darker in 3 days or so, and i think silver jewellery looks good on me but gold looks good on me too. but personally, i like silver jewellerry. and my wardrobe is mostly black and white, but it also has some really dark brownish green colour, but i do also have tosca and navy. i dont know about the paper test, i cant really see. so what's my undertone?

FINALLYYYY!!! it was so hard for me to find out my skin undertone and i've watched so many videos and i finally got it! thanks! i concluded that i am neutrual. On one of my hands my veins seem to be wider and more blue green and on the other they are more thin and look like blue, blue purple on places. then my clothing is more of baby colors expecially pink but i have a golden tshirt seriouslly sparkling golden t shirt and it looks just fine most of the time. theeen the silver and gold- my natural hair is medium brown with ashy undertones and gold just doesnt seem right but i have to dye it and even through i still aim to the ashy undertones it is a bit warmer than my natural hair and i look great with gold jewery.when it comes to burning- i am suuuupeeer pale if i dont have any tan my best foundation will be in light vanila color, my familly would express the color of my skin as wax, in winter everybody will say i am cool undertone, but some people have noticed "strange yellow" in my skin expecially from mid sring to mid authum, when i go to the beach if i put sun protective cream or whatever i will never tan nor burn, nothing, as if i have never seen sun, and everybody is super supriced like none of the people i know will stay hours under the sun and no differance will appear, but if i dont put anything and just stay under the sun i will burn slightly but will have like golden skin like a bit of green a bit of yellow and i will look as if i am warm. it was insane for me in the beggining but your video finally brought up what i was looking for. and i am ready to conclude that i am neutrual with a bit if change in my skin depending if i go to the beach or no. thanks again!

why can i not understand the whole "finding your undertone by looking at your veins" way?!? I'm actually an EKG technician for UNC hence i know alot ab veins so this is crazy to me that i cannot see the difference in mine and my besties veins LOL! and i have light to medium olive completion(yet very tan bc i tan) and she is VERY light skinned and has never used a tanning bed or any tanning products..ughhhh still confused no matter how many videos i watch on finding your undertone 😱💄

what helped me was to put my wrist next to one of those pictures where they have a wrist with blue veiins one with green veins amd one with both blue and green.
I think it’s because the tone of your skin affects the color that veins appear through your skin. Hope that answers your question!

Having olive skin is an undertone. Having fair skin is a skin tone. You can DEFINITELY be a pale or fair olive skinned girl. I am myself and I find it frustrating when people think you have to have medium to dark skin to be olive. It doesn't make sense that olive is characterized as a skin tone. it is not. It's an undertone. If it helps, google it and you can find an entire forum on reddit for Olive toned girls!

This is super helpful. After watching a few of these videos I have pretty much figured out that I'm neutral which is great news for me. If I lean one way I would say it is more towards cool. I have blue eyes am naturally pale but have no pinky/red tones in my skin. I have light brown hair with hints of auburn and tan slowly but rarely burn. I lean towards silver jewellery but can wear gold and my wardrobe is an eclectic mix of pastel pinks and blues, reds, greens and khaki and bright neons. .

My eyes are dark brown, almost black, and so is my hair. My skin is tan, and I haven't ever burned. But when I did the paper test, my skin was rather red. And if it helps, I come from a mostly all-Asian background.

Thanks for this, really useful. :) I have eyes that shift between green and blue and brown hair that lightens to more kind of auburn ish in the sun, i.e. brown but with streaks of copper. More green veins I think. In winter I'm very pale, like when I first go out in summer after not tanning, I glow I'm so white, but then I tan really gradually so my skin is more yellow/gold after that but also don't seem to burn so much/just a little. I have quite a mix in terms of wardrobe and seem to look equally good in earth tones and reds, greens and jewel tones vs blues, purples and blacks. Also a mix of jewellery, though my personal preference is towards silver and more so towards the cooler colours as well. :)
I'm neutral. Brownish black hair, brown eyes, I tan slowly, I can wear gold and silver, my wardrobe is full of warm and cool colors, and I have a slightly yellow undertone, but beige foundation usually works best for me.
That's my dog, Trixie, in my profile pic. She is blue eyed, blonde, looks best in jewel tones such a royal blue, purple and red. She isn't fond of emerald green because it clashes with her beautiful eyes. She loves pink, like the color in her ears and on her nose. She's so cool!

I have watched 5 or more before you to determine my undertone and some were basically saying the vein thing is not true or the clothes thing...not helpful! But you helped me to determine I am neutral because of the what you said about the sun! I do not burn necessarily but I turn red and then it turns into a tan! Among other things you said I came to this conclusion but thank you because it is very frustrating not to know what type of makeup to buy and now I know!

I was stuck for a long time not knowing what skin tone I was (this video has just about confirmed it! So thank you!) I'm very pale, a natural dark blonde (was pretty much white when I was younger), with blue eyes, and have redness in my facial skin, so I was lead to believe I was cool toned, but gold jewellery looks good on me, and cool pinks sometimes don't sit well on me, and I am certainly not warm toned (I burn like a b**ch!)
Then I realised (it was pretty obvious, I don't know why it took so long!) that I am Neutral toned! My skin is peachy, not golden or pink. Guess I can pick my own style after all. I'm currently leaning towards a more bronzed, copper and peachy toned look, a little like a Gigi Hadid make-up style, I feel really suiting me. Same with clothes, I've been buying more neutral, earthy tones. I bit of a change from my usual gravitation towards navy.
Who knew that there are so many ways to determine your undertone! I'm sure that by the end of watching this video, almost everyone already has an idea if they have cool, warm or neutral undertones.

I have Dark Hair, Brown Eyes, Pale Skin, I have blue veins, both gold and Silver Jewellery looks suits me and I tan slowly. my wardrobe is a mixture of bright colours (fushia pinks, blues, peaches) and earthy colours (tan beige olive kahaki).
I know I'm late to the party, but I've always had so much trouble with this! I think I'm a neutral, tending toward cool. I have light (not quite fair) skin that starts to burn within an hour but I never tan (skin just goes back to the color it was before the burn), I can wear gold or silver, my veins are blue-green but with slightly more blue than green, and the colors I gravitate to most for wardrobe are navy and gray - all the signs in my skin are neutral with a cool tendency. But I have natural light brown hair with red and blonde tones, and my eyes are amber/hazel, which are warm colors. And I look really amazing in some earth tones, like rust and brown and olive green (they make my eyes pop b/c my eyes are warm). It's wacky times all over the place.
Another full proof way is what professional who do color analyses study. It's your eye pattern! This helps alot too. Good vidio.

I am fair/light in the winter, light/medium in the summer. I have blonde hair and hazel eyes. My wrist has green and blue veins, but mostly green. I like wearing silver toned jewelry the best. I have learned that I am a neutral skin tone leaning on the warm side in the winter and in the summer I am still neutral, but on the very warm side of neutral. I hope this helps someone!

Awesome video. So I have brown eyes with a hint of honey colour under certain lighting. My hair is naturally dark brown and I have fair skin. Veins in my arms are like a blueish-green. I tan very slowly but can build it up eventually. I can sunburn but it always settles into a nice tan. I prefer silver jewelry but I think both look okay on me.

I'm biracial, Irish and Native American. My complexion is light to medium in the summer, but pretty light, not quite fair, in winter. I have green eyes, mousy brown hair and my veins are blue and greenish. If on the beach, with good SPF I will get tan, but with a slightly pink tint and will look pink until my tan fades. If just getting sun from the summer months, I get a sunny glow. Everyone says red looks great on me, and I generally wear what would be a "cool" wardrobe, but green, pure yellow, teal and other warm colors look good on me. Gold vs silver is really pretty even. I can wear either, but at different times of the year. I think I'm neutral, cooler in winter and warmer in summer. Agree or disagree?
I have dark brown hair, green/hazel eyes, very pale skin, burn easy, but the paper looks good next to my chest, and I favor makeup with yellow undertones as well as peach.

I have light/medium brown hair (naturally), blue eyes, super pale skin. On my wrist, my veins are mostly blue, but on my ankles and inside my elbows my veins are greenish blue, my wrists gold jewelry looks best, but silver necklaces look better around my neck. My chest and shoulders burn first and turn into a tan, my legs do not get any color at all (forever casper), and my face burns.. then peels... and is pale again. My face and legs very clearly have cool undertones (I am 100% blueish pink), but the rest of me is either warm or neutral. If my foundation matches my face chest/shoulders, it looks way too yellow and tan compared to the rest of me. So I usually wear a fair cool undertoned foundation and I use a light warm-toned bronzer where the sun would naturally hit so my whole body ties in. It works for me !
I've got medium-light blonde/ginger hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and I can tan quickly but i tend to burn on the face more easily. I'm pretty sure I'm a neutral??

I have very pale skin, burn easily and never tan, and yellowish but also contains a bit pink/reddish blush. I have both greenish/teal and blue veins, originally light brown/dark blonde hair and almost black brown eyes. Silver and gold both fits to me, I love them wearing together. I can wear darker earthly colours (brown, khaki) and also vivid colours like purple or dark blue. Latter colours fit more to me (except for orange) and very light pastel colours (except for light blue or purple) wash me out completely.
