I loved the fact that he said that it doesn’t make sense when they give you a single exam and if you don’t do well, you simply don’t go to college. Welcome to Brazil’s college system.
Except we can do the test again and again if we want. It's not like we get a result set in stone for the rest of our lives. At least by having the option to study for an university test I can keep my goals within reach.

I think it makes sense that Wareen acts the way that he is. In school they only ever see him as the son of a villain, so instead trying being mocked for it, he puts on the persona of being just that. Yet when he’s outside of school he’s just a regular dude trying to make a living. I think it also helps that Will fought him, as it knocked some sense to him.

The funny thing for me in the save the citizen scene is that a school full of former hero's couldn't tell that the school bullies who are undefeated as villains in the game...might not be on the up and up.
I just realized a huge plot hole: if Royal Pain kept her memories from before she was turned into a baby, wouldn’t the super heroes remember being heroes and what she did? That would make raising them to be villains completely useless.
Yeah ok but the bitch could just psychopath together a memory beam and just fuck their whole shit up.........ignore that this wasn't plan A, she has a thing for being abusive to kids
Maybe Warren is chill during the restaurant scenes because at school, everyone expects him to turn out evil like his father, but at home he has a more positive environment
14:16 I think Warren suddenly being a nice dude might be his repressive way of acknowledging Will is a good person after Will saved his ass in the Citizen Rescue. Obviously Warren isn’t gonna give Will a bro hug, but he probably stopped doubting Will was worth giving a chance.

I've LOVED this movie all my damn life, and I'm so happy it's getting a review video. It highly deserves it. I also have had this theory that will likely never be proven right (or wrong), but I think even the kids who don't develop any powers have some kind of inherited durability and/or reflexes. Like, before Will gets his powers, he SURVIVES getting a car dropped on him and getting FLUNG across the room into a concrete pillar. It's just, like, a fun little genetic leftover to any kid who has a superpowered parent. And, also, Ron Wilson, Bus Driver has the necessary reflexes to drive a rocket-powered, flying bus...
Fun Fact: Once when i was smol and this movie was new. I wanted to play an online game based off of sky high. I don’t know how i got there but i ended up on an Egyptian cat hentai game.
I think the point of the Warren Red Lantern parts that result in the whiplash is that he's just maintaining an image at school and flower girl already caught him with his guard down so he didn't try to bullshit and just went with it and got to the point of the scene, which is nice because it skips a lot of clunky stuff that always pollutes scenes like that in other movies, he could also have just accepted that Will bested him and moved on too, also being a genuine good guy under all the angst he can clearly see Will is down and chooses not to kick him, that's just my take on it. It's something that has actually happened to me with someone at school where we were out for blood just stopped and eventually became good friends after getting to talk a bit and hanging out, the rivalry was pointless and we moved on. The movie version is a little clunky in execution but it still makes sense and works as intended I think.
I’ve been binging Dylan Is In Trouble’s old content and I JUST watched his sky high video and for a moment that lasted waaay too long, I thought you reuploaded and we all somehow pretended that it never happened

18:47 Dude, in the photo she's *wearing glasses* , that's why they didn't recognize her. It's so obvious that glasses messes up with your perception of things, bro.
"They give you a test on the first day of school and if you don't do good, than you just don't go to college" This really hit home... Actually, the reason college is hell for me is because of the test that I took to get in. I didn't get a high enough grade in math to have any actual freedom, so now I have to take 4 maths for my two years there 🤣🤣
honestly I don’t even understand why math is a requirement for college, unless the degree you want involves math in some way I don’t understand why students are forced to pay for a class they don’t want to take. It’s understandable that math is a required course in high school because #1 most of the math taught there is somewhat useful in everyday life and #2 it’s public so it’s not like you’re being forced to pay money in order to get your diploma but in college you’re being forced to pay a lot of money for a course you not only don’t want to take but also don’t need to take as it isn’t relevant to your degree
Gabrielle Hudson I’ve just summed it up to college being a business and not actually about learning. If it was about learning you wouldn’t be spending thousands of dollars on classes that don’t actually help in furthering your education towards your desired degree

18:32- I hate to defend your comment, but I think the reason why his parents didn't know about was because they only look at their own Yearbook photos and not of others. They were egomaniacs and I doubt his parents were friends or even that familiar with her.
10:52 I always just assumed he had a really strong healing factor as a result of having fire powers but the people who made the movie probably didn’t think about that lol
@ 21:00 There is no bias and that's exactly the problem. With her evil academy there is no chance of them being heroes. Evil is all they will know and be.
Kinda had me worried that Yoink wasn't gonna be in this review but he came through. Ron Wilson, Bus Driver is iconic. This is still my favourite dumb superhero movie I ever watched. RIP Kellie Preston.
Two of the cast went on to be in superhero property's, with Layla in "The Flash" and Gwen was in "Scott Pilgrim" and "Birds of Prey". And the sidekick that could glow in the dark was Zeke in Minutemen
12:31 I think it kind of makes sense from a teaching perspective. Superheroes don't always get to pick who they team up with to save the day. Oftentimes in superhero team up stories the villians are the ones who end up making the circumstances for the heroes to team up.

Deku’s lucky Ron Wilson isn’t in My Hero, All Might would’ve most certainly choose a different successor.
I've never actually watch MHA, but if anyone deserves One For All, it's Ron Wilson, Bus Driver
Yes.
Oooooh BURN!!!!!
It’s possible that Warren at school is just putting up a fake persona and at the restaurant he is his real self.
Totally forgot Mary Elizabeth Winstead was in this one. Guess that explains some uh...things about how I feel watching Scott Pilgrim.

I'd love a more serious version or even a series that takes place after the movie, will being a hero and Warren being his ally I mean it'd go for Warren's dad eventually making appearances and Warren's being conflicted but that makes a story arc itself

“Midoriya would cry and give up and go home”
*Midoriya was planning on going to UA even without powers even after being threatened to have his face es’ploded*
And he knew for a fact that he wouldn't be selected because he never actually tried any training. Making the entire resolve pretty stupid imo.
@@iksskan9147 So you're saying you should just give up on your dreams and not even try? Cool life lesson.
@@HullsColby if you do nothing to achieve it, stand still and hope it just comes to you it's not a dream, it's just a fantasy you want to live, a true dream is something you strive towards not just wait for. Honestly if you want the exact opposite of midoriya in that respect read the vigilantes manga, the head honcho is a powerless dude who became a hero by training his body and striving towards it instead of just moping
@@iksskan9147 didn't he have that notebook full of superhero stuff that he was to use and study to try to get in. like he wasnt gonna get in w powers but they said that they changed the test so you could study to get in and didnt he try to do that?
@@bearpoints I mean that becomes a problem then right since he wanted to become a hero with no superpowers without ever training his body and studying heroes. The problem is that he studied heroes which won't get him in any real condition to fight a villain who he has never seen without powers.
Idk tho I might be wrong I just find midoriya to be easily one of the worst characters in mha.

Bionic is a legend, i love watching this guy xD he is adorable
I know it's just. Perfectly slipped in
I've LOVED this movie all my damn life, and I'm so happy it's getting a review video.
Fun Fact:
Once when i was smol and this movie was new. I wanted to play an online game based off of sky high. I don’t know how i got there but i ended up on an Egyptian cat hentai game.

“Oh boy.... I love Sky High.”
You gotta review Osmosis Jones man. Something to remember from the 2001s

Hit the nail on the head with the gym teacher being a sidekick yelling at kids for being sidekicks
"They give you a test on the first day of school and if you don't do good, than you just don't go to college"
This really hit home...
Gabrielle Hudson
I’ve just summed it up to college being a business and not actually about learning. If it was about learning you wouldn’t be spending thousands of dollars on classes that don’t actually help in furthering your education towards your desired degree
I think you were right; Zoom does feel like a Sky High knockoff now that I really think about it.

Warren is my favourite character in this. And I'm curious about his mom and dad's story, a hero and a villain
17:55 was that just from accidentally leaving the movie's audio track on the timeline?
Probably lol. I found it odd too. It was probably a mistake he overlooked.
I feel like Warren just wants to be alone. These people keep shoving their problems on him.
Same like Buddy Revell (3 o’clock high)
Lol I watched it in theaters. The glow in the dark power joke was my favorite.
I remember watching this so much when I was little. I think I had a crush on the glowing kid because he looked like a boy who went to my school 😆
Sky High? You mean the official live action My Hero Academia movie?
Two of the cast went on to be in superhero property's, with Layla in "The Flash" and Gwen was in "Scott Pilgrim" and "Birds of Prey". And the sidekick that could glow in the dark was Zeke in Minutemen
12:31 I think it kind of makes sense from a teaching perspective. Superheroes don't always get to pick who they team up with to save the day. Oftentimes in superhero team up stories the villians are the ones who end up making the circumstances for the heroes to team up.
I have determined we had the same childhood
