I'm at the point where I just don't weigh myself in the second half of my cycle. Everything after ovulation is weight gain. I chose to believe the lightest weights that I see before ovulation!!! 🙂 Thanks for the content, Jordan!

Same!!!! I got my period 2 days before my doctors appointment and I was feeling really good about my weight, how my clothes were fitting, etc…. Until I stepped on their scale at the office 😩 I allowed it to ruin the rest of my day but the next day I reminded myself of what Jordan is talking about, got myself up off the couch and back to life so to speak LOL

I love the idea that you only compare the weight monthly. That idea that you are looking for a trend is so helpful for me with consistency. When you start to see a consistent downward trend, it gives motivation to keep going! Great points in the video about why daily fluctuations shouldn’t throw you off completely!!

Thank you for this video. I sent it to my mom, who is a habitual scale user.. and I mean hourly on the day to day. I've thrown mine out and just use a tape because that darn scale anxiety causes me to want to binge.
Super glad to have someone with your blunt knowledge on here.

Can't tell you how much I needed this and how grateful I am for you. I've definitely been in the habit of comparing today's weigh-in with the same day from last week for years now and it can feel disheartening to see the scale go up. Thank you, Jordan for reminding me to chill tf out and not get so bogged down by the numbers. Respect. ✊

I 100% used to jump on the scale 4-6 times a day, fully undressed, just to see "how things I did affected my weight" the same way you did in this video buttttt I really believed it was actually showing me my "progress." I guess I deep-down knew it was crap because I would shut the door and be as quiet as possible so my husband didn't hear me because I didn't want him to judge the amount of times I was stepping on the scale (or ask me whyyyy I was undressing completely every time I used the bathroom!"
I now have a healthy relationship with the scale and number in general because of you and other online fitness people DOING THE GOOD THINGS!

Hi Jordan! I have been a silent subbie but I have been appreciative of your videos for a while! They are always so encouraging-I would love to be a part of the inner circle! I have recently started my fitness journey.. for maybe the 15th time of my life. I have done keto, paleo, low carb, raw till 4, vegan, liquid fasting, water fasting! It’s crazy and has taken such a toll on me ..BUT I am determined that this time will be different! I am almost down 30 pounds! But I think I was meant to find this video because the scale has been mentally hurting me tbh.. this video came at just the right time 🙏🏼

The scale is such a useful tool, but it's so important to not SOLELY focus on it. How are those jeans fitting? That shirt fitting? Have your lifts been increasing? I've gone down maybe 5 pounds over the last 8 weeks which may not seem like much, but my size 10 jeans are feeling more loose, and the amount I have been weight lifting has steadily been increasing. I've also been able to enjoy my kids birthdays and family time/dinners.
    Stellar content, as always 🤙

Just yesterday I stepped on the scale and saw the highest weight I’ve seen. 10 min later I stepped on a different scale and weighed 3 lbs lighter, then about an hour later I stepped on again a different scale and now weighed .5 lb more. It’s all over the place and I’m getting back into every day tracking on the same scale at the same time so I can do monthly trends not daily trends. Which is hard and I don’t know how well I’ll do. But I’m going to try
