- So because winter gets pretty gross here in Ohio, here are some cozy, happy Steam Deck games to lift your spirits if you too live somewhere with weather of the inclement variety. These are mostly low stress affairs, although at least one is a little deeper than the rest (but still pretty approachable). If you have any cozy games you'd recommend for fighting the winter blues, let me know!

Take a look at Alba: a Wildlife Adventure. Such a cozy game that hit a good tone and feels great after a wild day.
Oh weird, I just looked it up and it's already in my library XD Just haven't played it yet!
Am I the only one experiencing unstable frame in this game on steamdeck?
Thanks for making this video! You actually highlighted a have I already have, Evertree, and now I'm motivated to try it! The backlog won't get me down!
No problem at all and hope you enjoy it, david! LoL to be fair Steam Deck is a wonderful backlog machine :)
I've never heard of Ni No Kuni before this video. I just picked it up for the steam deck. Looking forward to it!
Worth it. I recommend to play this game on easy. Personally I don't really like the type of challenge that the combat in this game provides. The feel good nature is not diluted by playing on easy.
Hope you have a blast with it, mighty! Certainly a visual feast if nothing else and I'm with krux- nothing wrong with playing on easy :)
Song of the Evertree is great!! So happy to see it on this list
Right? I haven't played a ton but enjoyed what was there :)
Just got some major nostalgia seeing there's a Castle of Illusion remake. Loved the original as a kid, will have to pick it up for the deck!
Glad I could re-introduce you to a piece of your childhood then!
Nice suggestions! I have both Ni No Kuni games on PS4 and still haven't played them! And I know that I should play them, but like every gamer, the backlog is huge, lol! I've never heard of Grow Song of the Evertree and I see that it's on Switch, so it's going on the wishlist! Great video and keep up the good work!
They're SO pretty though- I want to finish them someday but that feels like a springtime game to me the more I think about it and probably should've saved it for that sort of video :p Grow's a fun little game for sure! And will do :)
Not gonna lie, was hoping to see Travelers Rest here, narcissist that I am. Oh, it also has seasonal content and I love snuggling up with a fire in real life as well as the tavern (not that it's cold now in Australia!)
Awesome vid, and I've got yet more fuel for my wishlist. Have a great week!
Who knows?! Maybe it'll pop up in another video before too long :p Appreciate it, dude, and hope yours is good as well!
Uh UH UH (di caprio meme here) i played the mickey mouse game on genesis with my neighbour when i was young :) Damn you like to make me feel old dont you :D Thanks for the video man, your stuff i comfort for me. Hope you are well! Much love :)
LoL always fun seeing a blast from the past :p I don't mean to I'm just old ok, potato?! XD Hope you're doing well too and take care, homie!
WitchSpring R is also a very chill and cozy game
First I'd heard of it but added it to the wishlist! :)
feels like its been a while since ive seen one of these videos!
Nothing wrong with that! Still churning 'em out and hope you've been well, dude :)
Loddlenaut has that pixel filter feature too!
I keep fighting the temptation to grab Loddlenaut but it looks so pretty and you telling me that is putting me dangerously close to a purchase, Chariothe XD
I remember watching walkthrough of Ni No Kuni back in 2011, wishing I could play it on PC. Fast forward to 2019, the game released on Steam in its remastered version. I bought it day one. Haven't finished it to this day due to other games getting in the way. :D
I installed it on my Deck with finishing it in mind. One year later it's still installed on my Deck, waiting for me to find time to properly commit and finish it. :D
LoL I can definitely relate to other games getting in the way. I'm sure you'll get there sooner or later!
Ooh, didn't know Mickey is back on the Steam store. It was one of the first games my girldfriend and I enjoyed together 10 years ago. :)
Yooka Laylee is also great, played it last year, got it "for free" on Prime Gaming.
Oh did it leave the Steam store for a while? I had no idea just found it in my library and fired it up and was pleasantly surprised :) Glad you enjoyed Yooka as well!
It's pretty drab here in the Netherlands as well so definitely agree it's a good time to curl up with a steam deck and a cozy game... Wanted to try castle of illusion, but unfortunately it's not on sale right now and the only key store I trust has it out of stock (and I don't want to pay full price). Put up a price alert for it though, so might pick it up later.
Back to starfield for now 😂
Oh! I actually already have grow song of the evertree... Guess I'll try that :)
I love gross weather days for exactly this reason! Hope you keep enjoying Starfield, fin :)
I platinum'd Grow: Song of the Evertree on playstation. It's a very repetitive and simple game, but for me it was the right game at the right time.
Congrats! Sounds like it wasn't a brutal challenge but hopefully it was at least a relaxing journey :)
Perfect🤗 💖💛🧡💖❤💝
I can only agree with you on ni nu kuni
Glad you enjoy it as well! Hoping I can finally wrap it up this year and move onto the sequel :)
I would love to put both Ni No Kunis on my deck. I haven't finished either one! Yet own both 🤦🏻. I'm finishing up Assassin's Creed Rogue on deck right now. The deck is going to be a backlog console for me I think.
Just keep buying games until you have like 300 in your backlog like me
Yeah, what johnsducks said XD I know the feeling though and honestly the Deck does serve as a great backlog device! Hope you're doing good, man :)
@@YourPlayer2 Yeah, I just get more done portably these days. Doing great, man! Hope you are too, brutha
Huh i had no clue Ni No Kuni was a DS game, i did recently pick it up and am finally getting a little bored with Palworld after 60 hours so maybe its a good time to start
Right?! I didn't no either until I saw a physical (japanese?) CE once in a game store. Did a double take :p
Ghibli is a soft "g"! Jibbly.
I really don't like that pronounciation...
Thanks for clarifying! I'd heard people say it both ways so I have no idea :p
