Honestly, I wanted a pt cruiser because it's different.it doesn't look like all the other cars on the road, its unique and I love the body style there, based on the 30s and 40s cars ..it feels like I'm driving a Modern classic car haha and the 5 speed manual is fun to drive..
I have removed the CV axles on other cars by breaking the bottom tie rod knuckle and even the tie rod end and then swinging the cv axle out still attached to the hub and strut - pulling it out of the trans only just enough to drop it - but every guide I have looked up says to completely remove both axles and on both ends - must be a a reason ?
Yeah, that's what I normally do is pop the Knuckle from the lower control arm with the axle still bolted on, and Bungee Cord it out of the way to drop the Trans ..but on this vehicle the lower control arm Bottoms out on the subframe and its unable to drop it any lower to remove the knuckle out of the way ..sucks huh haha..
@@luckysdiygarage oh I get it - Makes sense - i am about to go do mine now - no one else has a video like yours on this pt w/o turbo - thanks - keep doing videos you have the entertainment part down pat - 5 speed PT cruisers are misunderstood classics - lol
