As a Chiefs fan I gotta admit Edelman is one tough sob, he was clutch in the 2018 afccg and sb 53, really a clutch player in general in the playoffs, love hearing his podcast, it’s some really great stuff!
He's a football player. Steve McMichael said in the 85 Bears 30 for 30 said "Walter Payton is the greatest football player of all time! I'm not talking running back." I'm not putting Edelman up there with Walter Payne I'm just saying some guys are just football players. Any era any, environment they can get it done.
You know, not many fans get to keep onto the players they looked up to after they retire. I'm beyond lucky to have chosen the pats from day 1 because I still have Edelman, Bruschi, McCourty, Mayo, Gronk, Brady AND Bill all around still kicking after the team.
Edelman is my favorite 🐿️ to have ever watched. I’m thankful to have watched him play in so many games in Gillette Stadium. I still wear his jersey to the games.
Edelman SHOULD change the HOF. Post season should have a category not just regular season stats. They should at least give honorable mentions or some new category.
I know it’s not a popular opinion, but welker and Edelman should be HoFers. You want Brady’s go to weapons in clutch moments? I don’t see how you can write the history of football without them/other key patriot players. It is a team game, but the pats don’t win nearly as much without Edelman, Welker, Seymour, Willie, etc.
@@paulgutermann8413 to me it’s ridiculous. But I also know that a bunch of people don’t like the pats players because they dominated the league for so long. Which is fair, but at least put the “most hated players” in the hall because most of those players would’ve started for 80-90% of the teams
The Patriots we able capture the "Team" mentality in 2001. Coaching. Belichick did many things different and utilizing ayers in specific roles. Tom Brady came in with a chip on his shoulder and played and practiced like a rookie trying to make the team for 15 yrs. Players came in wanting to be part of it. Who else a special temper as captain and has a do.inate role in the locker room. Mathew Slater.grea special.teamer, greater person. Rob Gronkowski played on fg and extra points because he was such a great player. Nobody was bigger than the team. I hope more.players get.recognized. Wilfork should definately be HOF but does not have the stats. Yet every team double teamed him, which allowed others to roam free and make great plays. Again Team. They were able to hold that together for almost 2 decades. Here in New Englad we had a 20 tr run of sports excellence. Many are just now coming to realize how special it was.
Edelman has exposed that the HOF doesn’t value post season and Super Bowls enough. And values Pro Bowls too much. Heck, anyone can get voted into a Pro Bowl.
Jewels could have played any position except as a lineman. Proven. Like Tom said, tried to break too many tackles tho. GO DOWN! HEART OF A LION WITH LEGS OF A CHICKEN....😂❤🎉
Bill O Brien is the best head coach out of the Belicheck tree. Not saying much but still. I’m not counting Vrabel he never was assistant under Belicheck

One of the greatest Patriots ever. He and Troy Brown were very similar.
Wow! Congrats on being able to admit that as a chiefs fan.
hated the pats my whole life, hes insanely clutch
Why does being a Chiefs fan matter? Are you saying Chiefs fan can’t be objective most of the time?😂😭
@@zackhicks5320because they beat his team. Most fans wouldn’t give credit to a guy who knocked their squad out
Edelman is a natural football player

Between Edelman, Welker, and Woodhead no one else made better use of undersized white guys better than the Patriots. #LFG
Amendola, Hogan
@@matthewfreeman33 Hogan wasn't undersized. He was 6'1 210 and was decently fast (did not have an official 40)
The rest of the league should've taken notes
Shout out little white boys!! Can't run, can't jump just get 'er done!
Quick with good hands, great for the short pass
Edelman on the Mt Rushmore from that 2nd wave of the dynasty 🔥👑
Edelman was convincingly one of the Toughest Patriots ever
I think the most unbelievable part of this story is that Edelman's film was still on Betamax in 2009.

Same here!

Would love to see those 3 video tapes❤

I don’t know how the greatest dynasty in NFL history can have so few players in the HoF.

Edlelman was a swiss army multitool of football.
One of the many things that fascinated me about Belichick was his ability to know what positions a player could play. He never kept them in a box.
awesome segment. "Cut time's coming! Make sure you keep your phone on!"

Jewelian?
@@413TomaccoRoad Pretty valuable player. As long as it's not Jewelius Seizure. Such audacity might cause an epileptic fit.
Edelman would have been a fantastic running back!
Ernie Adams FACT #78
Chuck Norris comes to Ernie for advice before he fights.
With all the injuries he’s sustained as a receiver, I’m not so sure he’d have the durability to be a running back.
Hall of Fame for sure. Edelman was the Mariano Rivera of football he could surely close a game.
Is Jules new Rudy
Bro woulda been a goated receiving back
If he doesn’t get into the hall of fame, the HOF means less.
He's definitely not a QB.
