CF MOTO 450MT LUGGAGE RACK INSTALLATION

- In this video I install the factory CF Moto luggage racks as per the instruction manual. It's a relative easy install. Tools needed are:
1 x 5mm alan key
1 x 6mm alan key
2 x 13mm spanners
A note to those intending to do this themselves is that the plastic side panels are also clipped on and quite hard to get off once the retaining bolts are removed. The bolts holding the pillion foot pegs are extremely tight also.
i wonder why the instructions involved removing the mud flap, when you have enough room to remove the foot pegs and install the bracket. I didn't remove it when I installed mine.
It gave me a little extra room to move
Cmon mate...away from you when bolts/screws that are upside down 😉.
Get yourself a decent set of long hex key tools or hex sockets to snsp on a rachet.
I would get some pickup bobbins & stand to get the bike straight upright.
Enjoy your content & have fun on the little beast.
Cheers
Yes I still need a better set of hex tools with long leverage handles. My log set are imperial. I have a centre stand on order. I was hoping no one would notice. Haha
@@FlatBrokeAdventures you're a great bloke! Only giving you stick trying to make it easier for ya🇦🇺
@@stevesanelli90 all good mate I was the dumb one going the wrong way haha. I expected some one to notice
Righty tighty, lefty loosey. FACING the fastener
I agree get better tools, you are going to strip the bolts on the bike or hurt yourself
Looks the part, haven't seen any racks or crash bars in Melbourne as yet, good job mate.
Thanks Bazz. I got email today , my upper crash bars (I think) and the taller screen have now been sent. So i"ll have to video the fitting of them too. Cheers Jim
@@FlatBrokeAdventures I received upper crash bars from dealer today. Lower crash bars have been ordered but obviously still coming.
@@graemewines5169 Still waiting for mine. Expecting screen and 1/2 the crash bars maybe tomorrow
This bike after 4000/Km normal use on highway, did't touch any dirt yet, oil leak and some screws rust.
Ok thanks for letting me know. I just had my 1000km service and they found a loose exhaust bolt The one which holds the muffler to the bracket.
Hello from Portugal
Can i ask you how much do you pay from the panniers rack?
Tanks
They were $199 Australian Dollars
Hi,took one for a test ride the other day, found the suspension a little bit firm ....i could only go on the bitumen as it was a 30min test ride.....just felt like the first couple of cm travel were not working ....just wondering if you have any ideas as i really like the bike overall...Like your Utube stuff...Cheers
Thanks mate I'm glad you like my channel. The suspension is fully adjustable. Jut make sure you know what you need to soften so you don't ruin the ride and don't know how to fix it. Cheers JIm
Hey can you please send me the link where to get the plastic panels for the rear sides .thanks
Mine came in the kit when I bought the luggage racks. I'd contact CF Moto
where did you buy them ? ithey are not available in Poland yet
I bought it from the CF Moto website here in Australia. www.cfmoto.com.au
Uncle wang sells them cheap
@@migflc778 not as cheap as I got these from CF Moto
Do the CFMOTO soft bags fit on that rack?
Yes I believe the CF Moto soft and hard panniers would fit as I got them from CF Motos Australian website, from the new parts list.
@@FlatBrokeAdventures okay thanks. I have the rack and bags on order👍🏽
@@twowheelin7361 I'll go with 3rd part bags. I have ordered 10 items and only 1 has arrived so far.
it's just the rhinowalk rebranded by cdmoto, it's probably cheaper buying from rhinowalk.
@@metalsadman I think so too
Hard to take those footrests off whilst turning your little tool the wrong way.. 😏
Of course if you had the proper tool you may have broke the bolt
@@spotthedogg yeah I worked that out
