  • How I lowered the rear suspension on my CF Moto 450MT/Ibex450. It is only a matter of removing 2 bolts and moving 1 bolt to a different location. Please watch what I do and learn what to do nd what NOT to do.
    Please enjoy

      You're welcome mate. I agree I could have done things better. I was thinking this when doing the job and filming. I always say why pay someone to do a job that you can do yourself, then I wouldn't have been able to make this video. Plus it was removing 1 bolt right oh well 2 bolts in the end. How hard can that be?

    I reckon with the bigger tyres and getting tall seat on mine. i may have to try this. Might be safer to use the scissor lift, but ill still tie bars to the roof because i had bikes fall over on me. Cheers mate.

      @FlatBrokeAdventures  Месяц назад +1

      Yes I need a scissor lift for sure. I should have used 2 straps I think to hold it up properly

    Flat broke but lots of comedy gold! Looked like you had nearly more falls on the bike while working on it than riding it!
    I wouldn't have thought the dog bones would have to come off to lower the link arm pivot? But, i dont have one yet🤦 When i get rhe tall seat & lower the bike that 20mm i wonder how this will pan out.
    Cheers for showing the long way round!

    • @FlatBrokeAdventures
      @FlatBrokeAdventures  Месяц назад +1

      I didn't think I'd have to remove the dog bone either but the bolt wouldn't come out. The dog bone need to be moved only about 3 or 4 mm. It was that close

    • @stevesanelli90
      @stevesanelli90 Месяц назад

      @@FlatBrokeAdventures ahh, got it. The head of the bolt doesn't clear the dog bone profile? So at this stage, probably best to load the bike rather than lift the rear end?
      As soon as mine comes in, that what I'll see. Cheers

    You may need to lower the front also because lowering the back would have increased the trail slowing the steering.

    Please delete this youtube video, if somebody watches your tutorial he is going to do something to himself, i would never in my life ride a bike after your "tutorial" you tighten the bolts so hard that they are going to explode when they get heat from the engine... USE A MECHANIC!!!!!

      This is not a tutorial, I'm simply showing how I did mine. It's intended to show others what to do and what not to do by showing any issues that I come across.

    • @FlatBrokeAdventures
      @FlatBrokeAdventures  Месяц назад +1

      If I'd just removed the 2 bolts at first it would have been easier. Instead of trying to only take out 1 bolt on the shock to get the job done. I could have also used another method to hold the bike up off the ground instead of using a ratchet strap to lift it.

      @@AlexK-nf8cq comfort is good. I did almost 300km last Thursday with no issues. The engine is good but is a little choppy when going from 0% throttle to a small % throttle. I believe you can adjust a lot of it out, which I haven't adjusted yet. Other than that I find it great
