Your one of the most inspiring musicians, there has been in a long time... Neil Peart, Jaco Pastorius, Randy Rhoads, Billy Sheehan and Kiko Loureiro.... 🤘 I listen to open source everyday on the way to work to start my day...
If you ever need a bass player, drummer or guitar player... I’m two hours from Nashville... Ha!

not only is kiko a gifted musician and guitar god, his knowledge and insight into teaching each concept is unparallel. He answers the reasoning behind why music theory exists and how it helps in making music, and not just what it is.

I've been playing for years now, with zero advancement, and finally I realize that Music Theory is actually a very usefull tool to understand, and to create music, and this videos had really helped to this process; I will always sincerely express gratitude to Kiko for being this accesible, please continue with this theory series. and a Q & A, What was your level of participation in the temple of shadows álbum, I feel that this is a really masterpiece, so I want to Know, wich parts did you compose? Lyrics, lead guitar only? Or maybe the powerfull acoustic intro from the shadow hunter perhaps?. Saludos desde México.

    Ciao Kiko,
    Insomma, sei importante Kiko.
Per conoscere a fondo lo strumento che amiamo " la chitarra " servono persone come te.
Che ci apri la mente, e ci fai conoscere a fondo il manico, con semplicità.
    Divertendoci, senza troppa teoria....
Io sono molto schietto, e non posso dire altro che ... continua così Kiko.
Senza smettere mai di ringraziarti ovviamente, perché per fare questi video, togli del tempo libero a te stesso....e non è poco....!!!!
    Grazie 1000 Kiko.
    Bellissimo video.
    Bellissima spiegazione.
    Ciao Maestro.👍👏👋
    Saluti dall'Italia.

Beautifully explained as always Kiko. If you see this comment, I'd like to request you to make a series of videos on chords. 1) How to find chords of a song 2) How to find intermediate chords (in between chords) to make the song more appealing. When I hear a song, there are so many different chords used but my problem is to find those chords.

Kiko! I am soo freaking impressed with you man. It is soo great to see a metal guy showing such a different side to the profession. You got me glued to you tube every time I get a notification about any of your videos.
I can go on and on talking about the great deal of admiration I have, but I don't think you, being the simple/humble guy you are, would appreciate that. So I will refrain.
But I will say, weirdly enough, all my frustrations for having played guitar and yet never really learned about music, kind of dissappear when I watch your videos. In fact, I get more and more fascinated with music when I see your videos and learned about your story.
So all I have to say is obrigado my friend, please keep this alive!

Ofcourse theorical knowledge is very valuable. But as you implied, we create music with our heart and feelings it is not just the formulized numbers or rules. I think many of guitar players or musicians feeling releived, inspired and free when they see your approach. In my opinion we will be able to learn much more useful music theory with this looking. At the end of the day we all want to create some music not the coding a software.
Thank you very much for your sharings as a very succesful guitar player. Please continue to share your experiences with us, greetings :)
