I think you've moved into a " rich lady" look. Being successful makes sense. But, a little magazine for most of us mommas with jobs, normal housework, etc.
I disagree...for example, many women wear a tee shirt and jeans at home. I give viewers some options for stepping that look up a notch when they go out. Adding a jacket (of any kind), black boots instead of sneakers, and some accessories are easy ways to transition that simple look for an occasion. I am here to give style inspiration that my viewers can use to make the looks their own so that they fit into their lifestyle. Thanks for watching! xo
I agree, but there are still tips that can be used for inspiration, even if it's one or two elements and not the entire look. This channel feels like it's maximalist, loud luxury for ladies with plenty of discretionary income, and that's cool-- it offers perspective that I may not otherwise see regularly.

I like all the un-elevated looks better 😂. I love a more simple look. A more quiet luxury look, not too busy, and very simple and functional.
I agree with you, but even adding a belt and a cute pair of hoops along with a crisp white tennis shoe elevates the look even for a PTA meeting.
The befores are kind of what I look like, and I can see the value of styling. For me, I’ve reached a place where I feel guilty dressing up (like “who does she think she is?”) Erin has talked about this in her videos, and it resonates with me but I’m not ready yet. The people in my life tend to comment on my clothes for various reasons and I prefer to avoid being noticed right now for my current life (spending a lot of time with an ill relative, working from home, going to school). But one day…

Here’s a challenge for you. My son lives in Chicago. I have terrible feet and need to wear my Hoka tennis shoes to save my feet as he drags us ALL over the city walking miles. I love dressing nice but I also need to save my feet. Please do a video showing city sightseeing marathon dressing while wearing Hokas sand still looking stylish. Thanks I love your ideas
I would go with a black pair and wear dark jeans and beautiful belted wool / cashmere coat with super light puffer underneath and simple lightweight cashmere sweater under that. You can add a faux fur hat to dial up the glam or keep it sporty with dark baseball cap.

They can be tricky. The most important thing is to find a pair that fit your foot correctly...not all of them are cut well. Second, you can try adding a foam foot pad to the toe-box to help with the slipping. xo

Love the beige tonal outfit with vest I have all these items and since my coloring is almpst exactly like yours I will wear this as soon as it is cool.enpugh where I live...winter daytime. I find tonal looks more interesting than all one exact color.

This is beautiful but I live in Florida treasure coast..not many high end places to wear and the weather is definitely too warm year around..unfortunately
You may have to make adjustments to fit your climate and your lifestyle, but many of the principles are still the same. Adding thoughtful jewelry, shoes, belt, & bag can go a long way to transforming an ordinary outfit. A layering piece may be even more crucial in Florida since it is warm outside and chilly indoors due to the A/C.

Woman don’t feel good enough to Elevate their style. I help tons of women and they or not all 8 out of 10 tell me oh my gosh I’m Not that Pretty, Rich, Skinny or Fabulous to pull that off. BUT once they try it they realize Beautiful Women dress from the Inside out. Upping their game is just the icing on the cake and who doesn’t Love icing ♥️
I have to wear glasses to see, so “switching glasses for a look is not feasible for me, BUT, that does not stop me from styling myself using, scarves, belts, jewelry, specific shoes that elevate, etc. Great video Erin. Love, love, love the vests! I am still trying to find some, because I outgrew my vests that I had for YEARS! I love them as a styling tool!❤😊

Ordered the MV Mira choker chain necklace you are wearing and I love love love it. It is a little short on me even at 17.5” so I use it with an extender to bring it to 18”. The MV clasp is difficult and the extender solves that problem.
Nice but limited for those of us living in hot-weather areas. Other than the example that starts out with a sweater, all the "elevated" looks shown in the video involve a coat, jacket sweater, and/or winter scarves. How about some "elevated" styles for 80+ degrees.
Enjoyed seeing the outfits jazzed up, and helped me realize I have done that a lot in the past. It's just so had when you can only wear one pair of orthopedic shoes. So, I compensate when I want to level up my outfits to look my best---I use accessories above the waist to draw attention away from the lower part of my body. I hope to get my foot size small again to wear the nice dress shoes in my storage unit, but when a gal has to wear compression socks (I do hope to dye some black, so they don't look as awful as the white ones) and one style of shoe, it's tricky to look incredibly chic. But hey, at one week past 79 and the fact I can still walk, even though with help, I can't complain at all.

Amazon has lots of options for compression socks so you should be able to find black ones. I recently had foot surgery and bought a pack of fun colorful ones just to brighten my mood while recovering at home. Foot issues are difficult. Comfort has to be prioritized, then style where you can! ❤

Sherry, Just FYI: Having foot issues myself,, 😢I found black compression socks at Tommy Copper.😊 You have probably found the wide & stylish shoes available at Nordstrom. They actually measure your foot and are trained to fit shoes! They won't try to sell you the next size up in a Medium! Most of my new shoes have an actual "W" on the box! I rarely buy shoes anywhere else these days. Life can give us challenges. Good luck on your journey!😊

I struggle with the elevation of an outfit. My job requires a less attraction shoe. For example a hiker or bulky sneakers. I work retail. How do you keep the casual outdoor style fashionable with this kind of shoes?
There are so many fashionable sneakers out there that will give you both the comfort you need and the style you desire. Try a few lifestyle/casual sneakers instead of an athletic pair. A lug sole boot or loafer may be an option too since they are comfortable as well as stylish. xo
@@BusbeeStyle great suggestions, I should clarify though- when I say “required to wear” I mean I have to wear their brand of shoe, which is a hiker or bulky trainer. Standard attire is jeans, tee and a cover of some kind like a zip up hoody or sweater. So I’m stuck with a less attractive shoe . I guess I’m looking for a better way to style everything around an ugly shoe. Not sure it’s possible but any suggestion would be great.

I liked the black trouser, sweater version best. I was just in Paris and tons of black outfits. I do feel they are missing the boat, but not adding color though. JMHO. I love elevating outfits. Nothing like a great pearl necklace to jazz things up. Thanks for the fun video.

I really like your channel; when you showed your vest.... I remembered I have a beautiful red velvet vest 1994 and fitted. I love how you say you may already have this in your closet. The hats! I'm a hat person and appreciated the taking off the hat and hair is ok.

I love almost all of your pieces and I have every intention of buying myself many like them or maybe even them if I can find them as I live in Canada and Nordstrom‘s went bankrupt in Canada and they closed all their stores made me very sad. I know I'm late to the party, but just wanted to say I love every outfit and can't pick a favorite. I feel like #2 with the jeans could be the inspiration for many outfits that would fit my lifestyle. I'm a retired public school teacher and always enjoyed dressing sort of funky when I was working, but now it seems that I have fallen back on leggings and sweatshirts, which can make me feel schlumpy.
This is so perfect, and simplistic to apply to everyday life. The sweater transformation is my favorite namely because before I was like "No way would I be caught dead in that outfit, but afterwards I was like that looks so comfortable and yet fashionable too YES! I'd wear it!"

Just amp up the accessories. A jacket is still a great option in hotter climates. While it is hot outside, most indoor restaurants, offices, and shops often blast the air conditioner. When I lived in Texas, I always had a jacket at the ready! xo

You are correct to say that the etiquette rules only require men to remove their hats. I usually leave mine on when inside however when I’m sitting and engaging with other people I find it polite to take it off so that I’m able to really connect. The choice is yours.

Today was post-op eye exam and I wore a simple black crew-neck long sleeve t-shirt, black jeans, an animal print cardigan with shawl collar and patch pockets that came below my hips, a slightly chunky gold chain necklace about 23" long or so, black and gold earrings and a black wool beret and really rocked it. It felt so good to just feel gorgeous in spite of my orthopedic shoes with foot brace. Nobody noticed my leg strap that holds my AFO in and I totally felt a very young 79. Oh Wow. Erin, love your closet, it seems bigger than my 475 sq ft apartment. I enjoyed watching your posts while you were over in Spain during time of construction of your new house.

I just bought the Schultz booties in the Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale in my normal size 8 1/2. I already own a knee high boot from maybe two years ago from Schultz. I was shocked when I tried on the new pair since they were huge! I compared the two pairs side by side and there was a huge difference. Schultz has definitely changed its sizing. Reordered the booties in 8 and they fit like the old 8 1/2. 🤷🏻♀️

I really liked the tonal beige outfit with the vest the most! I just want to add, though, that I noticed a lot of people over the past year making comments about how the looks and tips you provide are a little bit out of their financial reach and what I must say is, I know a lot of people are down these days on what they would consider "fast fashion" clothing or items that are not high priced investment pieces, but I truly think that people can find the same style pieces very inexpensively and utilize them within their own wardrobes! I certainly have. I've invested in basic that I couldI, and I know people are very down on Shein,but they and companies similar to them have a lot of things that are very affordable that people can utilize with items already in their wardrobe to create these types of beatiful looks at pennies-on-the-dollar. There are similar companies like theirs that are very health conscious and sustainable too! I mean we're talking sometimes an item may cost $8-$25, and were it at a not very expensive department store, it would still cost 30 40 or $50, let alone Nordstrom and others costing 2,3 or $400.
There are so many options for fashion and clothing now that are so inexpensive, yet so stylish. To name a good one, Nordstrom Rack is very affordable, and I feel like the tips that you provide really give everyone at all financial levels the knowledge and opportunity to make people look so elegant and exquisite and it doesn't have to be about sending the message that we're rich, I think it's about looking classy and beautiful especially as we age and can't just look "hot" in a tight tank top and shorty shorts all summer long anymore. At 54, I REALLY love the ability to transform and elevate all of my basic looks with little effort because of the guidance...thank you Erin. I've personally transformed my wardrobe since August of last year watching many videos on YT and especially yours with all of your insightful tips and I truly appreciate you SO MUCH...xo 🥰❤

Hi Erin…You have taught me so much, that I think before I go out. Do I need to add something before I go anywhere. I am a jewelry person. I had a friend ask one day if I ever went without jewelry…no not usually. I love that the bracelets come in small. I love bangles and have all kinds but have a four inch wrist, and they are too big. I love hats too Erin, but I always feel a little self conscious. It like people say “Who does she think she is? “ I am going to get over that. My husband likes hats on me. Thanks Erin. Right now I am the nurse, the lawn person, the cleaning person etc , as my husband recoups. I came in to take a break, and felt like I had time with a very special friend. ❤❤❤❤

The best part of the current denim trend is anything goes. Wide leg, flares, and joggers are all still current. The only style I'd stay clear of right now are skinny jeans (unless you are pairing then under tall boots) xo
