    That was the most complicated sentinel story I have ever heard, just go to a cave

    • @RabidJohn
      @RabidJohn 8 месяцев назад +56

      Sentinels will now follow you into caves. They had their tracking and pathing improved recently.
      You can evade them on the ground with a couple of jetpack upgrades and some judicious melee boosting to get out of their detection range.
      In space just don't engage with them; keep boosting in any direction away from their emergence point and you will evade them. Or just summon the Anomaly and get inside quick.
      That said, with a few upgrades to your multitool and ship, sentinels are easily beatable on planet or in space, and really well worth beating.

    Pre-ordered NMS, have been playing from day one, over 2,847.9 hours in. Glad you find it so enjoyable; I have never grown tired of it. Yes, at the beginning I was bummed about promises made and broken, but I stayed with it because I knew it had promise. I will judge you about nothing, learning as you go is the best way. 2 Galaxies, numerous badges and items and I am still having fun. Don't ever worry about passing up a resource (unless you need it atm,) plenty of opportunity on Normal Mode. Best advice I can give is Build up firepower and shields of your ship(s), pirates are many and be ready to repair shields. Enjoy, hope to see you in The Anomaly, I am known as KRLL, if you need resources don't hesitate to ask.

    • @SimpleHedging
      @SimpleHedging 7 месяцев назад +3

      The level of expectation is different. Bethesda is a huge company with over 500 game developers while Hello Games has only 17 in the beginning of their launch and now more than 30. Both games have been developed for 7 years. So startfield is a huge disappointment. Without modders, games from Bethesda will be so boring.

    • @m.b2948
      @m.b2948 7 месяцев назад

      @@SimpleHedging Bethesda is not huge they are small compared to cd project red or rockstar. Bethesda definitely don't have 500 developers they have just around 150-200. When they made fallout 4 they had only 100 developers. And with starfield having around 500 developers it's not from Bethesda alone. Bethesda outsourced starfield to 75 different companies. So as a whole game bethesda didn't actually develop all of it on their own. For comparison bethesda only developed 1 city in the entire game.
      The entire company consisted of 450 employees....so you saying they have 500 developers doesn't make any sense. Where as cyberpunk actually have 550 developers from cd project red, red dead redemption had over 1500 developers as well. So if you think about it Bethesda is not that big in scale compare to these other big companies.

    • @bellissimo4520
      @bellissimo4520 6 месяцев назад +4

      @@m.b2948 You're comparing AAA company Bethesda to a little indie dev studio? Seriously? Yes, we CAN and SHOULD have higher expectations from Bethesda. And in case of Starfield, the bugs are really not the problem. It's the whole rest. The missing space exploration. The missing planet exploration. The broken travel only-by-loading-screen. The liveless, and boring cut-scenes. The boring "story". There is so much wrong with Starfield... these are things that will be hard to patch... they'd have to change the underlying technology.

    • @m.b2948
      @m.b2948 6 месяцев назад

      @@bellissimo4520 I never compared it to an indie company I compared it to rockstar and cd project red.... You clearly can't read peoples comments correctly. Secondly each to their own. I know plenty of people who enjoyed starfield and have well over 300 hours into it. I as well am enjoying it and still play it to this day currently just over 100 hours into it. It all depends what people want from a game. If one second loading screens seem to bother them then fair enough. Doesn't bother me though. The space travelling part makes technological sense since creation engine 2 wouldn't even function if the entire galaxy was open world without any loading screens. As well as the capability of the ships it wouldn't make sense to travel real time from planet to planet. The technology behind the space ships in starfield aren't comparable to other open world space games. For example in no man's sky their ships can get you around places quickly without even hyper drive. In starfield you can't travel like that without hyperdrive. Plus it would take away the sense of being on planets and exploring. The idea is you spend more time on planets than you do on ships.... Before you use the excuse of space feels empty in starfield..... Have you ever looked at our solar system before??? I can bet you there is more content on starfield planets than their are out there what we know today in terms of space. That's kinda the idea of starfield.... Space is meant to be empty and it's up to you to fill in the gaps and construct your own colony....

I'm 75 yrs. old, have never even HELD a controller, let alone tried shooting at anything, crafting or building or flying. So I had to start from square zero. I'm just now getting the hang of it (300+ hrs. into Relaxed mode). Your fast paced action narration was clever and funny and really captured the feelings, frustrations & joys I've experienced with NMS. The "game" made me feel so stupid, inadequate and frustrated (fun wow!) but I kept on playing, struggling to understand the underlying logic of it all. You weren't travelling to other galaxies, just other solar systems within the starter galaxy, Euclid. There are 255 galaxies, but you don't have to visit them all. Most players come back to Euclid after the ending of the main story questline, so long as you have a base in any galaxy you can teleport between them. Some galaxies are relatively peaceful, with some very nice planets, but some galaxies are not peaceful at all. Good luck. :)

You can scrap ships to get the credits to buy one and remember that S class ships are the usually the best. There's some important upgrade blueprints on the anomaly to buy for your starship like upgrades to your hyperdrive that'll let you go to systems that are currently closed off or an emergency jump upgrade for you to escape hostiles. If you enter the space stations or the anomaly it'll reset your hostile meter to 0. Hope you enjoy the game even more!

      Also for the ship that was luck but the best thing is scrap broken ships and buy new ones. You can easily find S class ships by going to a high economy/pirate system and then sit on the space station or better trading posts (you find them with the economy scanners in the quick menu). You sit there, wait for the ship to spawn (each race has different ship predominance, fighter for vyken for instance) if the s class doesn't spawn, reload the save. If you want a solar ship they usually spawn in pirate system. I was lucky cus I found mine crashed, just a class but with many slots so I decided to repair it but as I said it's better to buy a new one than repairing a broken one, it takes ages and a lot of materials

    Re: crashed ships. You don't have to repair them at all, but doing so will increase the amount of units you get for scrapping them.
    Early game I just claim them and get back in my ship. As soon as I get my free freighter (3 hrs play time + 5 warps), they will be magically waiting for me in the hangar.
    If you install a teleporter on the freighter you don't have to repair anything. Just climb in to set a salvaged ship as your current, then teleport to a space station. Again, it'll just be there waiting for you, ready to scrap.
    Also just keep playing the story and base missions; you will unlock most schematics for free along the way. Save your nanites for upgrade modules from the space station.

    Thus when you get into trouble your Freighter can be called up too as another escape path option though
    Curently You can Save 8 or 9 space ships a fleet of Frigates (ex the Freighter) and Even some Land based Mech including the mighty Minotaur
    and That'll take you a few months work
    Oh nearly forgot regards traveling to an actual new Galaxy If you want to peek into another Galaxy play the Expedition which is Starting in The #11 Eissentam Galaxy ,on the link when we posted this And its starting Point is on Your Freighter OK?
    Personally I have visited 20 Odd galaxies /255 on my travels mostly by the Atlas path mission to the Local Galaxy center BUT the Space anomaly Teleporter If Multiplayer is ?working the Portal list other Players bases and their Galaxy (those on board the Space Anomaly)
    And you thought NMS was going to be an easy Cakewalk? Barely scratched the Surface with what I've told you here.

    I liked and subscribed simply because this was so enjoyable! As someone who's played NMS for a few years, with 2K+ hours in, I enjoyed seeing you hit those inevitable roadblocks but then meeting the challenge and getting through it. I was LOL'ing when you drove your "Batmobile" into the hole, but not due to your misfortune; rather for 2 reasons:
    1) that you were retelling the story with both intensity and humor that I loved the scene enough to give you the LIKE right there and,
    2) that I have driven into some holes in my time and the flashbacks were amusing.
    Great job on the video. I subscribed because I'm hoping to see more adventures! :)

    2 epic tips:
    1. Did you know you can go to trade terminals to sell things for more than you would at a space station? You can find trade terminals with your economy scanner from the quick menu.
    1.5. Did you know you can install an economy scanner into your starship? It lets you preview the economy level of a system before warping there from the galaxy map. The economy level of a system determines how good the ships in that system are, and also the chance of finding an exotic ship.
    2. Keep whatever rusted metal you find. You can refine it into lots and lots of ferrite dust. You should also find whatever goop, fluid, or mold you find as you can refine them into nanites. You might have to refine it a couple times, but eventually you'll get nanites.

I didn’t get anything good until I was on the second planet.

    AHHHH. Seeing you pass up those 2 Class A ships was pain but at least you learned that you could scrap them. It's also possible to fix up the downed ships a bit and use them as trade on better ships at trading posts and space stations to receive a reduced price on the new ship. It's how I turned an ugly hauler into a nice looking 18 million unit fighter for only an hour or so of resource gathering, a few side missions, and 4 million units (which I earned from selling tech like the nanotube crates between systems).

    Here's a tip. It's good to carry the supplies needed (or be ready to collect them, at least) to set up a minimalist base... the base computer, a teleporter, and the means of powering the teleporter. When you find a ship, you can throw down this "mini base," claim the ship, and then just teleport to the station. The ship goes with you, even without being repaired, and then you can sell it. And the bonus is, having that base where the ship was found, eventually the ship can respawn, and you can repeat this selling process numerous times. 👍

    Don't sell/throw away "junk" you find on containers or broken machineries instead refine it. Scrap metal becomes ferite dust and the slime after being refined 2 times becomes runaway mould. Runaway mould is gold because if refined becomes NANITES. I also suggest you to install from the space anomaly the exosuit refiner so you can use it while walking

    • @bern9642

    What I love about the story of NMS is as the game was getting better and better, at first the galaxies and planets were barren. we were all exploring naked basically. then came base building and portals and gateways. Then came the intergalactic highways and fast travel networks that _we_ built across the universe. All that we build exists in one cohesive and persistently existing singleplayer/multiplayer blended experience. This game is truly a mechanical marvel. That said, I do wish there was more base building things like interior AND exterior decoration to make it feel more homey and non-repetitive for larger bases. And more importantly *_MOVING PARTS AND MORE INTERACTIVE BITS_* like minecraft with its pistons. I want to be able to set up doors to be (un)locked from the inside or opened via code on the outside; I want to be able to craft quest guides of my own to leave around the planet to give other travelers clues and/or markers to find the code to get in. I want to be able to move entire sections of rooms at the press of a button. I want elevators. *I WANT TO BUILD DEEP UNDERGROUND* so have planets go deeper before hitting "bedrock". You've given me VR, you've given me short range teleporters, and a redstone system(wires), and pets, and GENE EDITING for the pets, _plleaaaaseee_ expand the base building features next. Base building is my primary drive for this game and I feel severely limited. C'mon Video Game Gods, hear my prayer!

    When you get far enough into the main story to get your Freighter you can build an exocraft summoning station on your freighter and then as long as you have all the the vehicles platforms built at your home base all you need to do is summon your freighter in whatever system you are in and you can summon all of your vehicles to yourself without needing to build anything. Even if you are on the surface of a planet you can summon your freighter into the atmosphere of the planet without having to go to space. Certain vehicles have radars you can build to scan for specific buildings btw.
