Jost: "I want Scarlett Johansson" Jost: "We have Scarlett Johansson at home" The Scarlett Johansson at home: [the actual honest to god Scarlett Johansson]
I'm sure it's much more time consuming than it seems, especially since they are among the best segments of the year. Getting the final versions of them takes much longer, and part of the appeal is you just don't see these jokes every week. Maybe if they were monthly, 10-15 minutes.
Same here… I think at this point if any, or all of them leave anytime soon, I’d be out… I mean Kenan is now the longest running cast member in the show’s history but he won’t be there forever
@@stephenlondon3363 I always figured Keenan was going to be the heir apparent to Lorne Michaels whenever he retires. Dudes been on the show so long he's gotta have absorbed hella knowledge
I have to say, the skits this year so far have been pretty great. Nothing against Che and Jost, but perhaps they are better Weekend Uodate writers than they are skit writers.
People idolize the first years because they see classic skits culled from then. I think it's better now than when I first started watching regularly around 1978. At least now there are occasional episodes where over half of the skits plus WU are good quality writing and well produced. The early years seemed a lot more "improve night and someone's filming it".
@@jnnx We being you and your imaginary friend. What you wrote barely even applies to what I said, but one way or another it's not 1986-1995 that they are now coming out with a movie about.
It's beyond time for the Update desk to get new anchors. Che and Jost have overstayed their welcome. Go back to male/female or female/female. Liven it up.
when you have scarlett johansson at home, you go home.
When you have Scarlett at home…u stay home. 😂

I love che’s joke about how Collin went to school at Harvard and he didn’t but they still have the same job. Lol 😂 😅😂
So perfect.
Pete made that joke yeeears ago when he was doing segments on weekend update.

Colin: Take the win bro
Che: Nah I'm chillin
So much of it is an act for laughs but sense Ché is genuinely humble.
@@gr8dvd I think they both are. That’s why they were so good. Colin always resisted being on any skit.
I love when they write each other's jokes at the end of the season.
Jost: I'm going to write some mildly self-deprecating funny jokes for him.
Che: Imma gonna ruin this man's whole life 😂
New one just dropped, it's up on RUclips.
Choices . . . sleep on SNL couch or next to Scarlett Johansson.
Barring some really unsettling private knowledge it seems a pretty easy choice.
That couch is super comfy
JD Vance just got quiet 🛋 👀

Don't rush me. I'm thinking. I'm thinking.
Such a difficult choice 😢😢
@@daviegriffin3539 The next VP of the U.S.
Michael Che, great at stand-up, the HBO show was very good and he's been excellent whenever I hear him on a podcast.
I watch specfically for weekend update.
Same here.
It’s the ONLY thing funny on SNL so yup, I’m with you on that.
I absolutely love their dynamic, two sides of the same coin.
Che wearing his George Wallace costume.

Hilarious
He's a cornball

Michael kills in stand-up specials. Definitely go watch them all.
Isnt there a new one out soon?
@@joedy3957I hope so, they are hilarious.
Would’ve loved to hear Che’s answer
I honestly think they have definitely been the best weekend update hosts we’ve had so far.
For sure
norm was imo then these two
Howard back to asking the question and then answering it.
Trying to stir up drama as well.
Gotta play to your strengths 😂
It's a feature, not a bug
SNL - weekend update with Che and Jost is only thing I been watching the last couple years.
Sharing jokes is big, I wonder what happens when they leave.
It is the highlight of the show. They do have some good young talent and Keenan
A comedians kryptonite is genuine compliments
Che has a permanent smile
My cheeks would be exhausted.
It works for people that see the jokes in everything. I admire it.
They could/should do a 30 minute show every week where they write jokes for each other that are very offensive (funny). Best part of the show.
That would be great. Also maybe a few extra written segments/sketches
Except it wouldn't be anywhere near as good if it was 30 mins every week lol
@@Howitchewstofeel5gum I beg to differ.
I could’ve sworn they actually tried this for a few weeks and it actually didn’t turn out well.

Keenan, Che and Jost are the only reason I watch. I have been watching SNL since it started in the late 70’s.
Mid 70s (1975). Me too though

I agree
So a version of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
Colin sounds totally different in real life than he does on Weekend Update 😳
This is his real voice. The other is his "performance" voice.
Loved listening to this! I couldn’t handle the angry Stern… This is awesome. Great interview!
Howard’s Dungeon Master screen is on point. I bet his campaign is awesome.
I didn't notice until you brought it up !!!
Howard always trying to start shit between his guests every 30 seconds lol.
Ché's last joke is a perfect example of his comedic genius. "Well HE'S usually rolling his eyes when he's giving the compliment." 😂😂😂
Howards still putting words in peoples mouths huh? 😂
I love Che.
Love these two!
this was very entertaining
My favorite WU hosts, and I was here for Norm. They just have something special.

@@onlyrick There is a reason they have been the industry standard for 30 years.
Howard is begging for Colin to beat up Che lol
Howard Stern really wants there to be beef, huh...
Stern still has a show?
Watching this, he answers his own questions a lot. So he’s basically the host, and also the guest
Sound engineer left some noise in on the guest mics
Could have swore that was comedian George Wallace sitting next to Jost...😅
Still can't understand why he tells them questions instead of asking a question
Because he's trying to crowbar a response out of passive Che so that Jost doesn't totally dominate the interview
@@IrishCarneyExactly
They would be PERFECT for an I Spy TV remake...
they should tour together
30 Rock shows the hilarity that could be happening 😂😂 I love it.
Their news bits were the best part of the whole show
Their mics have a weird feedback sound or something
SNL Interventions: they actually tell you you're doing a good job and you're in denial about it

Howard the segment is called "Weekend Update" It's not "the news" stop calling it that.
Norm called it the news tho :,)

I wanna know when Che got so big?
Be More Che
Does that mean they'll be in more sketches? 🤔
Howard got weird
Is this why the skits have been noticeably better the last few weeks?
Che looks gigantic!
Che seems quite mean spirited. I've often questioned his comedic talents, don't think he realises how lucky he's been.

Howard is a great interviewer

Howard is the best interviewer periodt
Che seem to have a HUGE case of imposter syndrome, which is typical in people with ADHD
I hope Jost as a close friend is helping him with that making him realize from time to time with some external validation.
"ADHD" isn't real, you've been fed a lie

STern is brilliant. I wish he were always clean. he does not need to be filthy to be funny.
maybe thats why its barely funny this year?
This clip is 4:20 long
He was on CP time 😂
So Che just rides coat tails. got it.
SNL is edgy and funny when you are in middleschool/highschool. A few times a year they have a new “all-time” funny skit.
Good thing for me those years were the late eighties/early nineties!
Cause they straight doo doo 😂😂😂🎉
