this is such a sick solo, I find this album to be really underrated in general. Vinnie's drums are also absolutely thundering! But you nailed this one! I also love his more moody playing at the end of the song.
This is the solo that makes me miss him the most... very well played, Kayla - very cool that you pay respect to Dime. He would have very much enjoyed meeting you & hearing you play.
I can play a few of Dime’s solos and THIS one is the hardest for whatever reason. I’ve never understood why. It’s so melodic and it’s hard to get the bends right. You did the best job I’ve seen anyone do EVER. You nailed the wammy bar and bends and that’s like 90% of Dime’s sound 🤘🏻amazing dude ❤
Of all the people I've heard shredding Dime riffs and solos and I mean all of them. You have the best feel, as you feel it as Mr. Abbot himself felt it. You are so much fun.
Bad ass. Pantera is one of my top bands in the 90s metal genre and i always admire and respect someone who can play like you do. I wish i could. Keep doing you. It's awesome.
My favorite dime solo. You did a really good job. You're a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing. I'm a 40 year old metal head and guitar player, and I approve this message. 🤘😆🤘
Yes!! I'm not assuming you did this only because I suggested - Im sure others have too, but thank you got doing this one! I've been looking forward to it. :)
Thank you so much for doing this one, Kayla. It'd be awesome to see the outro solo some time in the future too but keep on doing whatever you want most.
I saw another vid you made a couple days ago about Pantera but you earned that sub here. Killer playing, keep it brutal! Definitely my favorite Pantera track and imo one of the best songs ever written by anyone anwhere.
Big surprise everyone, Kayla absolutely nailed it 🤘🤘 well done for sure! That's easily one of my favorite solo's from the man himself. Love the content Kayla!
Man i need to stock up on music theory, i will sound like a baffoon now, but your solos sound 100% on point, only that they somehow sound happier than the original - and it's not a key change, i have no clue what's causing all those bluesy solos to sound so "happy end credits" when you play them.
Amazing job Kayla! This is also my favorite Dimebag solo. It's so Dimebag, yet different than his other solos. If you look, you can find footage of a very young Dimebag (I think he was like 16) playing a version of the outro to this song, so part of this was written much before it was recorded here.
I love your playing and all the notes were spot on, but it lacks that feeling of sadness and despair that Dime was so great at conveying. That said, it's way better that I could have done since I stopped playing so many years ago.
This is my favorite Dimebag solo. And the last minute of this song is so beautiful. Still my favorite Pantera song!
You didn't ask but mine too \M/
same here ! Great memories
Me too! There's a live video of flood on RUclips. Dime's solo moves me deeply. Great job on the cover. Your tone is exceptional. 💚🎸
One of my favorite melodic Pantera songs. Thank you for covering it.
I've said it before, they should invite her to stand in as a special guest on the tribute tour.
this is such a sick solo, I find this album to be really underrated in general. Vinnie's drums are also absolutely thundering! But you nailed this one! I also love his more moody playing at the end of the song.
One of my favorite solos ever, not just from Pantera. You did a great job as usual.
One of my favorite pieces from Dimebag! Awesome job!! \,,/
This is the solo that makes me miss him the most... very well played, Kayla - very cool that you pay respect to Dime. He would have very much enjoyed meeting you & hearing you play.
I love that solo so much. The Outro to floods is so haunting with that motif carrying it on out. Always makes me all teary eyed. Awesome cover!
This is great, your "look" and music choice are completely incongruent and I love it.
Straight up one of dimes best solos.

Simply amazing, would have loved the outro too
Awesome, the outro section for this song is one of my favorite pieces of music ever. Its just beautiful
I love your facial expressions at the very end of the video. Truly genuine.
I love this solo and outro. That's crazy if I just listen without watching, I can't tell the difference with a live version of dimebag performance
One of my favorite solos, simple awesome. 👏
You will never run out of content. Love you’re covers but love your solo work even more!!
Of all the people I've heard shredding Dime riffs and solos and I mean all of them. You have the best feel, as you feel it as Mr. Abbot himself felt it. You are so much fun.
One of if not my favorite Pantera solo! Thank you!!
Bad ass. Pantera is one of my top bands in the 90s metal genre and i always admire and respect someone who can play like you do. I wish i could. Keep doing you. It's awesome.

Killer cover of my all time favorite solo!
Hell yeah. Been waiting for this one. Killed it.
Definitely one of my favorite Pantera tunes, great job!
If this wasn't a video I'd aware I was listening to unreleased demo of the song.
Kick ass playing!
My personal favorite Dimebag solo, nice job!
My fav solo of all time! Great job
Cute and talented. I world literally worship you and your amazing talent. I could just listen to you practice all the time
My favorite dime solo. You did a really good job. You're a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing. I'm a 40 year old metal head and guitar player, and I approve this message. 🤘😆🤘

I loved that little pick switch when the tapping came in!
Amazing. Brings the tears just like when Dime played it. 🤯😭
Yes!! I'm not assuming you did this only because I suggested - Im sure others have too, but thank you got doing this one! I've been looking forward to it. :)

Thank you so much for doing this one, Kayla. It'd be awesome to see the outro solo some time in the future too but keep on doing whatever you want most.
Thats such a gorgeous solo...absolute magic
Yesss!!! I've been waiting on you to absolutely kill this one!!
I saw another vid you made a couple days ago about Pantera but you earned that sub here. Killer playing, keep it brutal!
Definitely my favorite Pantera track and imo one of the best songs ever written by anyone anwhere.
Yeah! Floods at last! It's my favorite Pantera solo) Thank you from all of my heart!)

"The Sleep". That's the second best Dimebag solo next to "Floods".
Oh no you did not. You did. And did it well. Thank the gods for extraordinary people like you.
I still rank this as this greatest solo ever recorded to tape. Great take!!
With the killer Dime flicks at the end too.. My kryptonite
Once again you never disappoint
You make it look so effortless. Wonderfull!
I was waiting for you to get around to do this one. Fantastic as usual 🤘🏻
I remember Subscribing to your channel a year ago. Huge improvement 👏 🙌
Big surprise everyone, Kayla absolutely nailed it 🤘🤘 well done for sure! That's easily one of my favorite solo's from the man himself. Love the content Kayla!
Wow! This solo makes me emotional and you rocked it!
Bangs of shred. Awesome as always.
you playing sounds so good and fitting that era.
I'm not big on Pantera, but it's nice to see someone playing what they are passionate about. The tongue out part is a definite plus. :)
So adorable while playing a brutal solo!
so beautiful, so talented. congratulations!
Daiuym, you make that guitar cry so good...
Man i need to stock up on music theory, i will sound like a baffoon now, but your solos sound 100% on point, only that they somehow sound happier than the original - and it's not a key change, i have no clue what's causing all those bluesy solos to sound so "happy end credits" when you play them.
Thats my favorite pantera song. Its gonna be the last song played at my funeral. Great job!
The outro gives me chills everytime
It’s people like you that made me stop trying to play lol nailed it!!!!!!!!!
What a nice touch and playing. Good job
Your vibrato and bends are fkn sick!
My favorite dime solo and on my birthday! Thank you

Damn gal, that was awesome! You do amazing axe work.
I absolutely love the Eeyore sticker. Great playing as usual, didn't miss a beat.
Amazing job Kayla! This is also my favorite Dimebag solo. It's so Dimebag, yet different than his other solos. Damn ... you are awesome. I just wanna grab your hand and raise it in victory in Dime's honor.
I love your playing and all the notes were spot on, but it lacks that feeling of sadness and despair that Dime was so great at conveying. That said, it's way better that I could have done since I stopped playing so many years ago.
Great as always. You rule girl!!! Rock on
