Zakk does a great job with the technicalities, hits every note crisp, and does Dime justice in a powerful way, but of course he can never truly capture that 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵 sound and feel that we all know and love from Dime himself, and I don't know if there's anyone that can or ever will.
The brothers will always be missed but i really hope Philip gets all the love in the world. He's been a massive part of my Pantera experience and he's still fucking delivering! God bless them.

I wish i seen pantera back in the day but i was extremly happy to see them open for metallica last year in montreal i was only able to see one of the 2 shows and i had to make it with pantera cause i knew zakk was gonna kill it and didnt disappoint anyone specailly dime

Phil was absolutely hammered on stage. Great show. I cant decide if I want this song played at my wedding or my funeral. This song and bagpipes.

I heard reason zakk wouldnt hit as much pinch harmonics as dime would of was because he was paying his respects to Him, since harmonics was dimes thing
Zakk is a close as one can get. I'm in favor of this as much as I'm in favor of Satriani filling in for Eddie with Van Hagar. HOWEVER, I just watched several vids of Zakk playing this song. I love that Zakk is putting his own stamp on these riffs and solos. But as crazy as it sounds they don't sound as good without the solid state Roland amps, without the great delays, chorus, whammy and Wah effects. Playing is on point. Tone is not there.
Phil and Rex are 50% of Pantera. They have every right to play Pantera music while paying tribute to their lost friends. Yeah, it will never be the same…ever. It can’t be. But for those that didn’t get to hear Pantera live back in the day, at least they have this. I was fortunate enough to see Phil, Dimes, Rex and Vinnie a few times back in the day. Even had backstage passes and got to meet and party with Pantera. 🤘🏻 Epic times. But my son never got to see them as he was born in 2005. At least I can take him to see this version of Pantera. Yeah, there’s no way in hell it’ll ever be the same. But at least we got this 😎🤘🏻
