As someone who works in the jail system, the sad part is she won’t serve even close to 10 years. If they say 10 years that means like 2-5 plus parole. I’ve literally seen people sentenced to 15 years, all but 365 days suspended. So they only served a year and then were let out. The justice system is beyond fucked.
A lot of people in America don't consider criminals to be human beings. So that's the real problem: We don't want rehabilitation, we want people to be locked away forever and then killed in prison.

I really hope that kid grows up with zero memory of any of this, along with next to no knowledge of any of it ever happening. As someone who has genuinely struggled with one’s own mental health for far longer than I care to admit to myself it pisses me off how people who find themselves in front of a judge or public opinion use it as a “get out of jail” card or to win favour. One to combat in infantry, the other to cancer.. Remember, marriage is sworn between two people to be forever, but other reasons can be the cause of it ending. Marriage NEVER guarantees a stable environment for the parents or child just because it's a matrimonial contract by the court or under God. Humans are imperfect, married or not. I've been raised by two loving parents who were never married, they broke up when I turned 20 but they did a wonderful job raising me and they never did anything to make me feel unloved, although they had their own relationship problems behind the scenes that other married people have. I had people in my extended family who were married with kids, and things had toxic dysfunction that led with them being miserable or to drug abuse until eventual divorce followed. Heck, some people get married for financial assets or to keep up with appearances (trying to fool people into thinking they're not homosexual or to appear to have a perfect lifestyle and partner), not because they love each other. So let's try to keep these little things in mind, please?

@@DeMoraJS Studies have been done on that, it was on negligence for babies but I'd assume it would pass onto abuse aswell. Young babies have a good grasp on whats around them, and can pick up on changes in antmosphere - though they won't remember what happened, they will probably still remember how it felt years and years down the line. Trauma is such a complex thing it wouldn't surprise me if roots and lingers, changing their reaction response to stressers or normal mundane activity. Even if that isn't true. The child will grow and they will learn of what their mother did.

Considering that babies think they are apart of their primary caregiver until 7 to 8 months of age, meaning they don’t know they are their own person yet. They think they are apart of their mother, and it’s different if you can feed your child immediately for as long as they want or need. Uncovering your breast is much easier than having to get up and go make a bottle. Easier, more convenient and better for your baby.

That is common of people who engage in this sort of behaviour. In almost all cases of this kind of thing I've seen, the perpetrators will defend themselves in some way that trivialises it. Most notablely Ian Watkins with his "Megalolz" comments. In a lot of cases, they will be completely aware, but trying to delude themselves in order to feel better about it. On the other hand, there are handful of people who are genuinely convinced that it is completely normal and it is the law and everyone else's perception that is close minded. Then there also people who don't care, and are actually getting a kick out of it because it's wrong. All are equally fucked up, though.

As someone who works in the jail system, the sad part is she won’t serve even close to 10 years. If they say 10 years that means like 2-5 plus parole. I’ve literally seen people sentenced to 15 years, all but 365 days suspended. So they only served a year and then were let out. The justice system is beyond fucked.

I really hope that kid grows up with zero memory of any of this, along with next to no knowledge of any of it ever happening. I've been raised by two loving parents who were never married, they broke up when I turned 20 but they did a wonderful job raising me and they never did anything to make me feel unloved, although they had their own relationship problems behind the scenes that other married people have.
I had people in my extended family who were married with kids, and things had toxic dysfunction that led with them being miserable or to drug abuse until eventual divorce followed.
Heck, some people get married for financial assets or to keep up with appearances (trying to fool people into thinking they're not homosexual or to appear to have a perfect lifestyle and partner), not because they love each other.
So let's try to keep these little things in mind, please?

@@DeMoraJS Studies have been done on that, it was on negligence for babies but I'd assume it would pass onto abuse aswell. Young babies have a good grasp on whats around them, and can pick up on changes in antmosphere - though they won't remember what happened, they will probably still remember how it felt years and years down the line. Trauma is such a complex thing it wouldn't surprise me if roots and lingers, changing their reaction response to stressers or normal mundane activity.
Even if that isn't true. The child will grow and they will learn of what their mother did.

When I was 3 (or less) my mother gave me and my brother an "educational" book which very explicitly portrayed (in ugly water paint drawings) everything about anatomy and reproduction. Whilst my mother's intentions were good, it was very misguided. That book groomed me, coupled with a lack of insight into identifying CSA, it made me a prime and even willing target. Ngl, it wrecked my life. Now I wonder about the things I have no chance of remembering, that books is as far back as I can recall.

Honestly this hurts my heart so much. I wanted to breast feed so bad and my son wasn’t able to. It’s a way to bond. I never once looked at it like a sexual thing.. it never crossed my mind. I wonder about people like this who see it as such. She took something that is so natural and normal and completely tainted it. I feel for her baby.

you can still bond with your child find by just holding, hugging, and just generelly touching them and the bond will be just as strong whether it's your milk or formula. altough I imagine it was also about the experience and it must've hurt to be denied it, so I'm sorry. I hope you will at least find comfort in the fact that it doesn't really make a difference. you can feed your child shirtless from the bottle after all, it's great (it also applies to men, it is recommended for them to hold their babies top less too, even when the child is breastfed, the other parent should try to hug the kid bear skin)

But it doesn’t change the fact that breastfeeding is usually better for your baby. If you can breastfeed, you SHOULD. it’s really selfish not too, unless you can’t for physical or mental reasons. Even though it is very sad some people will never get to experience that, that doesn’t negate the fact that Breast is best for your child. You can connec t more with your baby, and some people NEVER connect because they can’t successfully breastfeed, or if they don’t get that FIRST golden hour the baby is alive. It is sad if you don’t get golden hour, I didn’t as I nearly died both times. BUT golden hour provides amazing benefits for the child’s immune system by being placed on mothers chest still covered in the vernix and the way they connect with their mother by hearing the heartbeat outside the body, to reassure the baby. Considering that babies think they are apart of their primary caregiver until 7 to 8 months of age, meaning they don’t know they are their own person yet. They think they are apart of their mother, and it’s different if you can feed your child immediately for as long as they want or need. Uncovering your breast is much easier than having to get up and go make a bottle. Easier, more convenient and better for your baby.

That is common of people who engage in this sort of behaviour. In almost all cases of this kind of thing I've seen, the perpetrators will defend themselves in some way that trivialises it. Most notablely Ian Watkins with his "Megalolz" comments.
In a lot of cases, they will be completely aware, but trying to delude themselves in order to feel better about it.
On the other hand, there are handful of people who are genuinely convinced that it is completely normal and it is the law and everyone else's perception that is close minded.
Then there also people who don't care, and are actually getting a kick out of it because it's wrong.
