Hey Alex that mower turned out great! I'm not sure why the valves get so far out of adjustment on these Nobler courage engines. They are worse than Briggs! That will make a good mower for the next owner. Well done and welcome back!
Yea I have come across a lot of them that have come off the valve they were so loose. I guess vibrations probably have a lot to do with it. Just put a new deck belt on and mowed about a 1/4 acre. Should be a great machine for the new owner.
Thank you so much! This one really is going to turn out nice for the next owner. I’m glad it was just a few small issues and some love to get it back going again. I greatly appreciate the support.
That’s awesome Alex! What a difference some soap n water make isn’t it? And only 200 hrs, that thing is basically brand new! Great video series brother!
Yes this one certainly took some elbow grease, but mainly this machine was just frozen up in so many places from sitting. I really think this will be a great mower for the next person. Thank you as always for the support!!!
Nice job, but that deck sounds “rumbly” to me. Could just be the sound is in error on the video sound too. I’m very focused on every pulley and mandrel bearing be perfect because of the vibration and extreme power loss especially in heavy grass. Remember mandrel bearings can be bought separately very cheaply. That with a new belt just pleases my soul.
It was most certainly loud. I ended up getting the part number off the bearings and replaced them all before selling. It was night and day difference in sound and smooth operation. Thank you very much for stopping by!!
Alex, thats a very nice tractor and should bring some good coin! You did a very thorough job explaining what you did in your process. I like the way you adjusted the valves. So many channels say you need to find the compression stroke and half the time they are wrong. Forget that nonsense and just fully open any valve and set the lash on the other and then do the same on the other. You did a great job of fixing the steering and diagnostic on the charging system. I still would like to do a tractor but in Iowa everyone thinks there junk is worth a fortune. I have only flipped 3 mowers so far and i am now flipping mini bikes. The radicals want to destroy our constitution, but they wont succeed. Happy 4 of july to you and your family and thanks again for your military service to keep our country safe and free. I did notice you dont have anything on your Amazon wishlist! Great channel and glad your back! 👍🎥🇺🇸🇺🇸Roger
Roger you are amazing. I can’t thank you enough for the support. I’m still a bit rusty trying to make videos and explain things. It’s the same around here for mowers but I scout high and low for deals and try to make trades on mowers that I’m selling as well. I bet the mini bikes are fun though. They sell those around here for a fortune as well. I hope you have a wonderful 4th and I’ll be working on some more content. Next up is a zero turn. Haha. My wife seems to take care of most things I wish I had. I will most likely update something on the wishlist like some carb rebuild kits and such. Take care my friend 😎😎
Thank you very much. I had not opened that email in a long time. I greatly appreciate the support and I’m glad to be back. It’s been a rocky years, but trying to make the best of life.
The valves being out of time is a definite thing to have checked out because they can cause the engine hard to start hopefully you can find a better valve cover gasket that Cork gasket only lasts so long
Yes I think that was the main culprit for the hard starting. The cork gasket seems to be holding up ok now that I cleaned it and got the bolts snugged down. Thank you so much for the continued support.
Absolutely. The intake valve being so far out of spec will make it to where the compression relief won’t work properly though. The rocker will have too much gap for it to give it that small relief bump it needs. Thank you for watching 😎
Good job Alex, it cleaned up and runs nicely now. 🙂👍
You clean up nice! Haha. Hope your doing well brother. Always a treat when big john visits the channel :)
Thanks brother, we're all good and I hope you and the crew have a great 4th of July. 💥🎆💥

Good work Alex. It runs good my friend 🔧👍
Thank you Artie! Seems to be a great runner after just some minor issues. Cleaned up pretty well and hopefully up for sale soon.

So good to see you back making videos! I was genuinely worried about you! I tried emailing you, but did not get a reply. Nice job on this one!

That battery jumper, does it also charge the battery on the mower?

@@freedommowers420 cool beans 🫘 there Alex and glad you got it running again and your getting my support for your RUclips channel all the time 👍😎
Hardstarting cranking is malfunctioning compression release on the camshaft !!!

Love the videos, but way too much camera movement. I got seasick watching.
Koehler courage are junk I’m surprised that one runs ! Briggs and Kawasaki are the best
What you guys have against cleaning the mower up a bit before starting to work on it. At least take a blower to it. Laugh out loud.
Nicely done! You need a bigger fan! My shed is not big enough to get a rider inside. Later...🧌💯
