maybe an odd question, but is there downside to bringing the club back through P4 semi below the plane from the outset, so you are essentially already where you seemingly want the clubhead to be prior to starting your 'horizontal' hit on the ball? I find that if I take the club back on or above the plane, then the job of getting the club to be moving vertical first, in order to get horizontal for the hit is semi-hard for me to time. It seems as if the swing required works well (at least for me) if I simply bring back the club semi below the plane to start with, so I only need to consider a horizontal hit....but curious if I'm trading off some other benefit or mechanical need by doing this? This video is extraordinary by the way, as you really help solidify that the sternum location dictates where the club will bottom out, and I had heard this and seen this in other videos but never realized that there are these three reasons why this happens in the first place. Lastly...I understand the dropping of the pelvis is what helps get the club head below the plane, but that is yet another move that feels alkward to think about as the swing is happening, and I do know I must be dropping the pelvis if I'm even making solid contact with the ball through the hit (which I am)....but thinking about a deeper drop or the drop at all really is difficult for me and creates other problems. hope it makes sense.

Truthfully, it’s much less side bend than appears. Most of that is created by maintaining the spine angle set at address, as well as some influence form the arm lines being loaded in a certain way.
