He's a good villain because nearly everything he says is right, and that is part of why Raiden's story ends with him following the same philosophy mixed with his own.

My first fight with Armstrong was legendary, I didn't knew how to escape excelsior attacks so I lost a bunch of health on that and in the first scripted battles with the senator, when was time for the real deal the final fight of the game I was out of healing supplies but at least I had 190% hp and maxed energy(I like exploring a lot so lost only 1 hp upgrade), what made the fight so special is ALL OTHERS boss battles you can survive if you have prepared but for this last fight? I didn't had any items left so the only way to survive is doing what dark souls players do all the time, the classic ''git good'', so I did after so many deaths, so many resets, many suffering, and almost ALMOST ragequitting I learned how to counter every single attack even the insane rock-throwing special attack until finally, I won, my friends that was one of the best victories I ever had in a videogame, that with the legendary music? truly perfection. PS: in PC the control of zanzatsu sucks, is really hard to control it so the rock attack was a nightmare but there is a catch if you run like hell towards the boss and stay directly below the boss(he jumps into an unreachable wall area of the arena having the higher ground) he can't throw the rocks at you, is so simple yet unbelievably effective lmao.
