I did the same test then other day with my mom . I should have done a video. LOL we were picking the speaker to take out on the beach when we go. I took the JBL Boombox2 last year but pee wee is looking pretty good this year. LOL 😉
Yeah, past 80% vol. you can notice some reduction in bass with most Partybox speakers. No doubt to protect the drivers and amp for being over-driven. In reality, if you are often pushing any speaker to it's max output, then you should probably be stepping up to a more capable speaker.
I would have liked the Hyperboom a lot more at say $300, but not $450. When I started hearing distortion is when I knew I couldn't keep it. Just my personal opinion, but the newly updated Sony XG500 is the better speaker than the hyperboom and the XG500 is often available refurb for $170.
Love the videos! Been looking for some reviews on the diamondboxx sub8.2 but can't find many. Debating getting one to liven up the low end of my soundboks 3
Thanks. It's sad that a huge speaker with dual 10" woofers needs help in the low end. I have a Soundboks Go arriving on Monday and will be doing a few videos on it in the near future. Stay tuned!
@@JaysStraightUpReviews soundboks is amazing but only goes down to 40 or 50 hertz. It's worth every penny to me but the diamondboxx sub is designed to hit those low lows that the soundboks is missing
@@JaysStraightUpReviews Damn crying shame. I am thinking about getting the non-essential version and using both for the back yard plugged in and just bring the longer battery life one on the go.
I actually ran the Pee Wee at 60%, lights off, bass boost off and it lasted a ittle more than 9 hours. From 50% battery life and less it depleted much quicker rhan 100% to 50%. I'm sure if you turn the bass boost on, lights on and 1000% vol. It would cut that in half or worse.
thanks bro, some people just echo what others say or know> in real life here am seeing jbl sounding better and by far too, all those theory of wide soundstage bs, but you hear the jbl even from the otherside louder while the hyperboom spreading its sound making it not concentrated and lose weight and focus. Theory of this type is why science lies and say the Earth spinning round like a basket b all and also flying like a bird and the masses believe because men i tie and labcoaton TV says, the president back its up so the obvious joke and lie is accepted. But not by me anymore. this is born to sing with Guitar RUclips just using a friends computer here.
Hyper boom, perfect balance of base and clarity especially when you use eq and set your preferred listening 🎉
Glad you like it!
I've had the ultimate ears hyperboom for a year now it is perfect for my small room. I like how I can easily put in the corner of my room
Expensive and big speaker for a little room. Check out the Treblab HD-360 for a small room for WAY less $$
@@JaysStraightUpReviewsOk thanks, and I know it was an expensive purchase to make, but it made me happy. I'll definitely look into your suggestion.
JBL encore 👍❤️👍

That's probably my argument towards the jbl, is that the bass stays the same at around 70% volume. Thanks for the vid 🤙

@@JaysStraightUpReviews Hey Jay are you still liking the Encore essential i am thinking about getting one of these or the marshall tufton.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews Preach!
And I managed to spell Battery wrong....lol
Love the videos. 👍♥️
Being honest I always find ue muffled and Jbl we’ll just clear and crisp with punchy bass
Glad you came clean, Rich. Anything else you wanna get off your chest?
Have alot of speakers.love my Hyperboom.better than my PB 100 o r boombox.

how i wish that hyperboom
Hyperboom probably better for indoors, playing to all sides. Looks better as well.
JBL better for outdoors, and sounds better overall.
Hyperboom looks better? It looks like an office trash can. 😆
Hyperboom is probably better left on the store shelf. 😆
@@JaysStraightUpReviews why are you hating on the hyperboom. Are you a JBL fanboy?

The Encore seems better in pretty much every category except battery life.
I feel much the same. It's a shame JBL didn't at least put a 10 hour rated battery in this.

Dude if u turn the lights off it it will last for ages at 60 percent

Why are you wearing sunglasses?
It was sunny
Hyperboom ❤️🔥
Hyperboom : more mids bass
Partybox : more deep bass and more treble
I don't know when your ears will understand JBL audio because its very 100%accurate. JBL IS LIFESTYLE.
