The only thing that matters to me is sound quality and versatility. This speaker by far meets the criteria. You will always have an electrical outlet close to you, unless you are in a deserted island or in the middle of the woods maybe this isn't for you. Excellent device.
I bought two pb encores since viewing your other videos.. Batteriy life will lessen over time. I bought an ecoloflow power station. So 10 even 20 hours full volume is possible. The encore (not essential) was selling for $199 or $379 a pair. I bought it! So 2 pb100s, 2 pb310s, 2 soundboks 4s, later now I have 2 encores. My wife doesn't know yet.
I have an AC power bank rated for 100 watts out of the AC outlet that I bought on Ebay for $30. I plug the essential into this when I use it outdoors and the sound and bass gets even more louder and plus it charges it as I use it so I never have to bring it back in the house to recharge it, I just recharge the battery pack. With this battery pack rated for 28,000mah, if the speaker is fully charged and the battery pack is fully charged I can get about 12 - 15 hours of play time out of it at 80% volume and this is with the 3+db boost that it gets while plugged in. It’s the perfect combo and bass is insane!!
That's fine. After all, you're really going to plug it either below 2 hrs or after 5 hrs of using. Just plug it anyway. Sound quality is much more important.
I bought this speaker about two weeks ago after watching one video then did more research. Found out the battery life was horrible, tried canceling but couldn’t. So once it arrived I quickly brought it to ups to return 😂 Edit: I also ended up buying the Diamondboxx L3 🤪
I am glad you tested out the battery at higher volumes since no one else really did. I'm going to skip the essential and just review the regular Encore just because it is the model that is supposed to represent the main course meal. The Essential was just a appetizer😂

Is there Jbl encore regular and jbl encore essential? Something like jbl flip 6 and jbl flip essential. I am owner of jbl partybox 310, jbl flip 5, jbl boombox and jbl eon one compact which is the best jbl speaker of all jbl partyboxes speakers. But i would be interested for jbl partybox encore with a free microphone 🎙️🎶 just for a present for my daughter. In the past i had jbl extreme 2 and jbl partybox 100. Jbl partybox 100 or 110 does not worth of buying it, if you have any jbl boombox. It is better to buy directly jbl partybox 310 which is the loudest of all of them but much heavier at 16Kg. The best of all, is jbl eon one compact at 8Kg with tremendous sound volume at 112db which is equal with the very heavy 16Kg Jbl partybox 310.
I found out that this speaker is amazing if you know what to do with it. I've downloaded the party box app plugged my phone to the speaker and the app has a software upgrade and it gave me more bass and battery life Jbl knew what they were doing when they created this essential it's not the worse speaker at all. I'm one to find out all aspects of my purchases and the essential is wonderful if you download the party box app and upgrade the speaker you get more bass and more battery life once you upgrade the speaker

A 17wh battery on a 100W speaker? Even the Stormbox micro 2, the JBL clip sized speaker has 16.92wh And the Minirig mini 3 (not the sub) has 37wh as well. And then comes a party speaker with it's 17wh XD
the encore only has 2 x 21700 size lithium ion at 4800 mAh each connected in parallel 17.28 to 17.76 Wh. With some modifications you could put 4 cells in parallel...or larger 26650 size batteries
Keep in mind. The original Encore has 10 hours of advertised battery life. And I'm pretty sure that the original version is have even more bass and more loudness compare to the Essential version. And also comes include with dual wireless microphones :D

I have encore essential, battery is not an issue for me as i have no plan to use it outdoor i get a smaller one for outdoor using, though its not that big sound speaker like encore essential. I use it at home for karaoke only.

Thinking about getting 2 encores as monitors connect them by bluetooth, run aux from one into a splitter and putting another aux in the splitter connected to a power amp with a car bass box.

I bought this to use while I ride my electric scooter. A couple no name Chinese brands make PartyBox backpacks. I got one for the 110, the speaker takes about half the bag and I put a separator and use the top half for my lock and other stuff I carry in my bag. And I put a JBL Click Bluetooth remote on my handbars to control the music. While the battery life is bad, I never ride for even 2.5 hours so I’m fine with it. And if I wanted to I could toss a battery bank in the backpack. This speaker sounds good, and the bass is impressive. And it gets crazy loud. It’s the best riding speaker I’ve found. The bag I bought can fit the PartyBox 110, which would be a lot louder but it also would weigh a lot more. And if I ever decide I don’t care about my back and shoulders the bag will fit 2 Encores stacked, which would get comically loud
I'm sure you've been asked this before, but would you ever consider looking at the Marshall Tufton? It's rated down to 40hz and has a three-way driver set.
@@mxcharly9388 I would say it's somewhere in between the encore and something like the 110. It's not that big, but has 20hrs of battery life, a splash proof rating, and a loud, "party" kind of sound. It's a great speaker that doesn't get a lot of attention. However, there is no way to pair multiple together. I recommend watching Oluv's Gadgets review of the Tufton.

I am using mine for my Apple MACBook Pro/TV in my office, at best my terrace which has power outlet. I am good. Fully expecting the neighbors to be knocking on my door.

Unless you dont care about battery life, and size is a big constraint for you, I really can’t see anyone buying this over the Partybox 100. It’s the same price for 60% louder, double the battery life, and a bigger speaker means bigger and better bass. This is a flop for jbl as far as the pice goes. Battery life needs a huge Improvement or the price cut in half.
yes, a 17-18wh battery for a party speaker. That's your average phone battery today. Even the old JBL charge 3 has 22wh. So that thing would last the 3 hours if you run it on the Charge 3's battery. Or about 6hlurs if you connect the battery of the compact speaker "Minirig mini 3" to it.
I always laugh at the videos - totally focused around the wrong things when reviewing. the boots line is this is a brilliant little speaker sounds amazing but hasn't got the best battery life. Remember it's not your phone on standby, it's a powered speaker with lots of fanciness... I've tested my one and got 5.5 hours out of the battery without any light on and 50% volume which is still pretty loud. If you want to get from London to Edinburgh on a full tank of fuel then drive a bit slower simple mathematics!

The play time is because this is the essential version... if it was the regular encore it would last 10 hours

I think the only difference are more lights and more battery, not much more power, cause for just 3dB more you need 2x the power.
They have both 100watts power no change at all besides more light display on the new one and 2 wireless microphone and 3 controls for karaoke mode.

Sure the unit can be played whiles plugged in and they do the next model up which comes with the mic or get this one and a mic of your choice

Bro do you think the Partybox Encore Essential have more bass than the Partybox 110? I'm talking about the loud bass, the low frequencies.
Because the bass reflex exhaustion, the partybox has 2 holes in front and encore has one in rear, giving deeper bass response (under 40hz)

@@gioviecelli the battery runs out on the encore's after like 3-4 hours, loudness I'd assume 110's win, bass response 110, price difference between 2 encore's and 2 110's is 200 bucks, I'd go with 110's all day, they're at best buy in stock for quick shipping, encore essential is on Amazon but NOT worth 300 bucks, my ONN medium speakers have better battery life for 80 bucks!
@@bk9761 Thanks but as I said I just want to know about sound quality. a smaller speaker interests me because in addition to being able to take it in the car, I can also take it on the motorcycle or bicycle in the groups where I ride. I want to see the test and know if two encore beats one pb110 in terms of SOUND. only a TEST can answer that.

can you please review the hisense party speakers.they claim 300rms and higher.i am looking for a value for money party speaker that is kareoke capable. need to part with money but in africa party speakers are expensive and i dont have demo money.would appreciate it
