This is by far the most comprehensive video on the Ronin-S. There is so much information out there, most of which is of no use. This video is well done. The most important factor for me was learning from DJI that the App for my phone needed to be downloaded from their site versus from Google or Play Store. Good work!

And even though the app has updated, the principles are still the same, so this video is still the best one I have seen for the Ronin-S. The follow focus wheel works perfect with the G9, it's very easy to dial in... i've updated both the Ronin S and G9 to latest firmware as of 02/27/19 and working great.

I ran through a dozen videos before I found this one and it's The One! Maybe my head was in the right place but the balancing tutorial was epic. I did find that new app has some changes to it that are not well defined here but overall still very valid for the first 3/4 of the video.

So I bought the focus wheel motor from DJI and I hooked it up to the lens on my sony 28-135 G lens with servo zoom. I put the motor on the Zoom wheel and leave the lens on auto focus and it works great. Because of the power zoom there's no weight change when zooming. I had to come up with quite the mount configuration to get it to balance but I got it and it works great. Added the controller and the focus wheel to the left side of the ronin and have a monitor on the right with an added handle and strap this thing is awesome!
You have made this so much easier for us. We film a ton in the outdoors and had so many questions on why this thing was so jerky. We knew about the leveling on the ronin but the joystick was way to touchy and we could get it to smooth out even with the slightest of touch. Thank you much. If anyone struggles with the PAN axis when doing the BALANCE TEST and it keeps saying it needs RE-BALANCING even though its balanced, download DJI Pro Assistant for Ronin and update your firmware. It was doing my head in. I knew it was balanced even though the app was saying it wasn't as i've watched loads of videos and did the tilt test successfully. After updating the firmware I now have excellent on all 3 axis. Hope that helps!
