    I think I like more and more tutorials like yours. No channel logo intro for 15-20 sec. It just starts right away.

    😀For blender 3 users the crease won't work unless you enable crease on sharp and or crease on smooths in the settings of the line art modifier

    My project got too heavy for my RTX3090 to handle in edit mode and last year I stumbled into a way to turn off visibility of Line Art (it bogs the edit mode down to unusable lag times) by unticking one checkbox of something in the right hand panel. I can't remember what it was now. Does anyone know which menu has the visibility checkbox that turns all line art modifiers off globally? Otherwise I have to slowly work through 11 items and turn off the visibility, which is cumbersome. The one checkbox was a real time saver, but I forgot where it was located.

      @Brandon-3D  Год назад

      There are a few ways to do it I think. First one that comes to mind is turning off the visibility of the stroke that has the modifier applied to it.

    • @basspig
      @basspig Год назад

      @@Brandon-3D The problem is that I have been using that method and it takes several minutes to locate all the modifiers and change the visibility.
      I accidentally discovered one global visibility tick box last year, but I can't find it now.

    What if you just wanted a solid line around the outside of the car, without any of the internal lines being drawn???

    • @JustARandomHuman
      @JustARandomHuman 11 месяцев назад

      I hope this helps you, go to the modifier settings for that "line art", and then come down to "edge types" where you can click on the drop down next to create which is "contour" by default and change it to sillouette, that should make it so it only draws lines around the silloutte of your object. Hope this helped

    Nice tut. Very clear and concise. Can you apply 2d line art to a photograph in blender?

    • @Brandon-3D
      @Brandon-3D  2 года назад +3

      Hey sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you! If there is a way to do that in Blender, I have zero idea how. There could be add-ons but it sounds like more of a Photoshop filter. You could also check out Topaz Studio. They have lots of effects and filters. Thanks again!

      Blender only draws line art for the geometry so if you mean detecting objects in 2D image and drawing line art / outlines automatically, the answer is no. I think there's no program that can do that nicely because that would logically require AI program to detect the objects in the photograph and select suitable line art style for each object.
      I think your best option is to use Gimp, Krita or Photoshop and apply suitable 2D filters to make the parts you want to outline visible and then maybe stroke the edges of those areas if needed. However, this is mostly manual and artistic process so don't expect any magic bullets here.
      After you've created the line art for a 2D photo, Krita can do really nice comic book style coloring for the outline nicely automated where you basically paint the image by numbers (just paint dashes or dots of suitable colors inside the outline you want to use) and Krita computes the color edges automatically and fills the color even if the outline is not complete (that is, outline that doesn't fully surround the area that needs to be colored doesn't cause total coloring failures unlike the usual color fill bucket tool).

    Is there a way to convert line art to mesh?

    • @Brandon-3D
      @Brandon-3D  2 года назад

      That is a great question. I’m not sure but you might be able to select the stroke and turn it into a curve and then turn the curve into mesh. I’d have to play around with it.

    I have an issue where I did the outlines but the outline is visible but the scene isn't. Is there a reason why? I draw the scene myself and import it as a image as panel, and create the outlines in blender. Please help

    Somehow, i can't removed the model and just keeping the line...they make it look obvious on every thumbnail but as usual with blender...always something thats not working as showed... always something missing...setting not explain or just not there... the original model always appear when i render it... great.... having a 3d model with lines over it...can't get just the lines... its was the whole purpose of it but again...not fking working.
