Thanks for changing the map to be set in night time instead of day time like it was a few years ago! Everything looks so gorgeous now that all the bright lights stand out more against the darker night environment. I remember back then the only custom city maps for SWBF2 were Coruscant Streets and Nar Shaddaa KOTOR2 and they all looked flat/fullbright as if there were no lighting/shadows anywhere, this on the other hand blows them out of the water, like it's a brand new game.
I keep coming back to this video and this is BY FAR! the greatest looking map ever in Battlefront 2 and any Star Wars Game Period, Free Radical really did a great job capturing every single detail of the city and you and Shaymin/Iamastupid I think did too putting it in this game, and it's incredible how Battlefront 2's Zero Engine built in 1998 can even render this.
I appreciate that a lot. I spent some good time improving what was given by FRD, specially in designing new buildings, smaller props and the general editing when implementing all these assets. Thanks to Shaymin for convincing me the importance of glowing lights (applying a glow texture to tons of surfaces). The map now is finished with all things being implemented. When the space section is reworked this map would be ultimately done.
@@El_Fabricio U the man! You just added more life to this game and revived something so great many Battlefront fans would never get to experience if it wasn't for you. Once this mod reaches it's full completion I believe it can easily top EA's battlefronts as Free Radical has implemented truly interesting concepts for a Battlefront game that wasn't delivered in the reboots.

They already have planned a campaign for this mod, that would be just scrapped Battlefront 3 (aka Elite Squadron on PSS/NDS) story about clones of Rahm Kota's former padawan - Falon Grey.

I now like to look back at your channel to all the previous versions of the coruscant map and how a long way its come and I look at the Beta 1 and Beta 2 versions and compeletely forgot about the broken screen getting wiped away hud effect that was taken from the blood wipe hud effect in Republic Commando and I think it's better to not have it. It just doesn't make sense phisically wise even though it looked kind of cool.
Yes! And I also like to think that as you were making this map all those years, you kind of partook in the history and developement of the amazing planet called Coruscant with you and your contributors putting all of those buildings together like a digital construction worker. 😄
Redesign mods like this remind me of mods for the Original Halo CE that make the game look like Halo Reach or the SPV3 Mod that tremendously updates the graphics and pushes the engine to its limits.

@@Brandon_Y. First, their coruscant map is using bf3s however they completely changed the layout and basically basturdized it. Second The gameplay is nothing like bf3 or any battlefront for that matter it’s a military shooter not an arcade shooter like any of the actual bf games. Legacy serves a completely different purpose. It is not a good comparison

This looks like Luke Landwalker's Unreal Engine 4 Portfolio from a few years ago. I Wonder if this was ripped from that.
Both use the original battlefront 3 map from FRD.
Everything else is either added by hand or is the result of redesign.
