Attention to detail is what separates mediocrity from perfection! Nice job!👍🏻
I loved that "what the hell!" Lucky you figured it out. Everyone has been there.
Well you know where to go in case of earth quake. Under the island! Nice work.
That's quite the center piece in quite the kitchen. Great Work, Matt, looks incredible.
Your use of "Jo-blocks" in woodworking was really enlightening. I used them all the time in metal-working machine operations. Thanks again for demonstrating your knowledge in all aspects of the art.
Amazing. I appreciate the patience it takes to do things right. Very well done.
The island is an awesome piece by itself. Looks like it was built to hold a truck.
7:32 that cut though. Nicely done.
Love that you have a sponsor that involves renewable energy. I was hoping you would have powered your barn that way seeing the roof space you have on that barn. I think you mentioned your future plans that include building a workshop for all your wood working needs.
Watching you work, I want to disassemble all the furniture I've ever made...
The meticulous craftsmanship is amazing and enviable. Well done!
The year is 3024. A new civilization has grown up among the 1000-year ruins of late imperial America.
Within which Matt's kitchen island endures, a bit singed, but otherwise intact.
Just in case you need the structural integrity to joint an ox on your kitchen island.
You seem to have woodworking knowledge beyond your years I enjoy watching you work on your remodel
Yet another fine piece of craftmanship Matt.
Beautiful island, Matt! Basically, you just rearranged a whole white oak tree to fit inside your kitchen. It is so overbuilt and hefty that it would be the sole surviving thing if a tornado tore apart your entire house. I assume you are going to lay a large sheet of granite or marble on top? Can't wait to see the finished product.
We have a pair of sequential quartzite slabs that will be used for all the stonework. Thanks!
I actually thought the same thing!!!
17:58 That's me trying to square up a pre hung door! 🤣
May 13 2024 Matt: Watching Dusty Baker Cross Timbers Bison and they are helping clean up the mess left in Sulfur Okla after the tornado hit. Lots of big pecan logs. Thought you might be interested.
Love the island, but I can't help but think "Necronomicon" when I see that end panel 😂
Matt you must have the matrix in your garage because you acquired the skills of Norm Abrams by downloading his skills from the matrix into your brain.
Wish you were able to do more videos . I know the work you takes time
Matthew, you make it all look easy! Thanks for the entire series.
Thanks!
Got to say Matt, I did notice the big sigh and the throwing up of your arms, when the cabinet wouldn’t square up, priceless!!
Celebrity woodworkers, they’re just like us! 😂
Good Morning Cremona Family.
Very tricksi csbinets we have -- we likes them...
Hmmmm
Very special and precious...
I love this beefy island!!!
Awesome central cabinet Matt, thanks for sharing.
I have to say, I stumbled upon this series midway through the kitchen build. This build is awesome! I need to go back and watch the earlier videos. Keep making this fantastic content! Man, you’re going to be so proud of that when it is all done. Incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Thank you!
Hi Matthew & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Matthew & Friends Randy
I can't wait to see it done ! I LOVE YOU ALL !!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Matt, You are tied to that Festool Domino and have become a master at its use. Those rails lined up perfectly with the hundred holes! Amazing how you do thart. How did you ever get along without it? Haha. I wish I could afford one. Thanks for another great video!
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
Have you considered getting a stainless steel drain pan fabricated to put under any appliance with water connected to protect your beautiful wooden floor from flooding? Matt risinger has a video on this if you are interested.
What a work of art. Peace
Beautiful in all ways! And if you ever need an air raid shelter ... 😎
Beautiful!
Awesome job Matt! 😃👍🏼👊🏼
You need more clamps!! 🙂 Thank you.
It doesn't matter how many clamps you have, there will always be a job that you need one more clamp.
@@peterlittlejohn8933 And that's truth!!
Looking very good, Matt. 👍👍
Thanks Matt
Nice book match on the end of the table area.
Fantastic progress Matt 👍👏👏🫂
Love your work... But gotta know, did your barber move?😂
Awesome video! Awesome job! Thank you for sharing! 👌 😊
Great assy presentation and timing on all segments!!
I think that kitchen island is earthquake proof
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Wait, didn't Anker give you the system to install on your house? 😆 Cheapskates.
Those magnetic spacer/setup blocks are cool. I have been amazed at all the ways you've used that domino for aiding in alignment of trim and cabinet pieces, not to mention just for loose-tenons.
lol it was just released this week. Feels like it's one of the tools that once it's out, you find all kinds of uses for it
This is the first time I haven't skipped one of his ads. I actually need batteries for my solar system.
The Festool Domino is probably the only tool I am likely to buy from festool. It's still extremely over priced, but it's a useful too. I think the patent is expiring soon, so I might wait to see what imitations come out for a fraction of the price once it expires.
Wow it’s going to be a stunning creation. ❤
You should as a domino counter every time you add more, retro to the start of the project. Would be interesting to see the count 🧐
Man oh man, is that nice or what!!!
Great job!!!
Good morning
If you have the thick material you might as well use it
Amazing work
another masterpiece.
Cannot wait to see when it iss done.
100 years later... How the heck did they get this island in the kitchen in 1 piece?!
They must've built the house around it! 🤣
Every time I watch this kitchen remodel I'm in awe of what you are capable of. I do have a question about what size bandsaw blade and TPI you are using to re-saw this material? I'm guessing here, but it looks like a general purpose blade?
Looking good
👋🏻
Love you're vlog Matt. How often do you miss cut. (Measure twice, cut once).
WOW
I just happened upon a fact today that the most expensive violins were made in Cremona, Italy. I am assuming that city is the origin of your surname and if so, it's quite interesting that you are a woodworker of note.
The island is coming along nicely, even with the sagging bottom issue. I've not seen anyone else using those shim blocks and I wondered if you have one master set or did you need to purchase multiple sets to have enough of them for the work you do? They really look helpful, in addition to being very accurate, whenever you use them.
I have a set that includes 4 of each thickness
fireballtool.com/products/40pc-expanded-shop-shim-set?_pos=2&_sid=db013ada4&_ss=r
from the UK here great video… interested to see what worktop he’s planning on. Granite or marble is gonna be seriously heavy.
Nice, you might consider a little chamfer detail on the legs so when it gets bashed or kids careen into the edges they don't get damaged.
I went with hand broken edges
Matt, I do hope your sponsor kits your home out
Awesome work, as always. Have you shown or could you show sometime how the tool you use, to make the holes for the dowels. The one you use to connect the rails to the cabinet and legs. Thank you.
Hey, Matt, I was wondering how many children you have. I love your content. I have been watching for about 3 years. Great work on the reno.
I have 3. Thanks!
No hair cut until the kitchen is done?
6:42 you raised the height of your workbench by dovetailing a contrasting piece of wood to the bottom of the leg?!? 🤯
How I lengthened the chop on my leg vise #woodworking #rouboworkbench
Great system using the magnets for spacing with the domino are they set measurements?
Fireball tools AIN'T just for metal work!!!! 🙂
The island is nice the only bad thing about it is covering up the pretty floor
Fortunately I put the ugly boards there
Proper planning I couldn't tell on my phone it just looks beautiful to me your house will be a one in a million with all the premium wood and woodwork I have seen nice custom cabinets but never one that was 100 percent all custom with lumber that's unobtainable for most I can't wait to see the finished product if it ever is finished you will always find something to do
I wish I had a skip loader to move stuff- Oh, and the room to store it…😊
❤
You are a few clamps short - there's a few gaps in the collection above the door ;-)
Looking good as always. Love the look,
Love the way you use the magnetic shims.
What brand of drawer slides are you going to use?
Salice f70 slides. Thanks Gary!
@@mcremona Thanks. I have always used Blum. I will have to give these a try.
Hummm, I usually say “oh crap!” 😂😂😂
Hi Matt, Great videos on your kitchen build. The island is looking beautiful. quick question, what is the name of the magnetic setup blocks that you are using with the Domino?
Thanks, Have a great weekend!!!!
fireballtool.com/products/40pc-expanded-shop-shim-set?_pos=2&_sid=db013ada4&_ss=r
Cool thanks. Happy Sunday!!!!
what the hell- i say the same thing often
20:43 is that a new-old drill press? Restoration video🤞🏽
Shouldn’t need any restoration. Just needs to be powered. But it’s been sitting for 3 years waiting for me to hook it up 😆
You're putting six dominos in the outer styles, at which number would you say it's easier to make one big mortise and tenon instead? Or is the domino so much faster that it's ridiculously high, like 20?
I don’t see those spacer blocks you used with your domino in your tools list, please include. Thanks
fireballtool.com/products/40pc-expanded-shop-shim-set?_pos=2&_sid=db013ada4&_ss=r
Wait, you don't have the large Domino 700? Would've made all those joints easier, although I was impressed you were using the tight setting on the mortises just eyeballing off marked lines, and I was fixated on those little set up blocks.
No, I rarely use the df500 so it’s not something I feel I need. In this case I think it would have been more difficult. The 700 isn’t as easy to use sideways or upside down
Matt, do you have an affiliate link for the setup blocks you're using?

@@mcremona Does Jason know you're using his mag shims for *gasp, wheeze* woodworking? 😁
@mikepetersen2927 😂😂 the worst thing I could use them for
What are those magnetic setup blocks?

Why did you place the drawer frig/freezer so close to the frig?
Most logical location
Hey Matt it looks like you’re due for your annual haircut.
I know a safe place in case of nuclear attack...
A shame all that nice looking wood will just be painted white😢
Not true...... Pay attention
