Such a neat old dozer! Love the video series. Have to admire your work ethic and tenacity. You never give up. You don’t seem to get too stressed if everything isn’t going smooth. You just keep at it until it’s done. Keep up the good work!
Admire your gumption at working under those conditions. Looks like you are almost as old as I am . I have done those things before but no longer have that kind of commitment. I need to get my pony started on my old D8 but it seems to be too hot or too cold and nothing gets done.
Milt, just two bolts to take all the load of the track movement seems fragile or am I missing something? Later tracks have the interlocking teeth on the couplers where four bolts for the pad go through and earlier tracks used the removable track pin.
I tried but failed to remove the master pin. 🧷. I cut the chain because the chains are at 100% worn. Also the machine is likely run maybe 10 hrs a year.

I wonder what todays kids playing video games would do my themselves confronted with that job. You are dang good. I like your work.
Thank you for the support. Getting ready to hang the blade and drag up a long forgotten project up to the yard.

Nice!

Good job to have done before the weather changed and you had the screw loosed up to adjust the track easier seeing they aren’t the hydraulic type
Nothing easy with these old gals

It’ll hold up well. I did the other track same way. When my welder guy comes out he’ll weld the link back up.
Didn’t see the master pin being fitted, Or was that part not filmed for u tube🇬🇧🇮🇪.

Are you going to weld the rail where you cut it
