Great show, Milt. I love watching and hearing those old machines start up from COLD. I forgot you had that D2! Look forward to seeing that one startup eventually too.
I was wondering if he welded that track link that he cut too we used to do the same thing we cut them right in the middle right down that little post in the center after the pad was bolted on them we took the pad off again and welded it up then put the pad back on couldn't tell it was even cut when we got done with it
I don’t think if the chains were in good shape I would have cut the link. These chains are past 100% so not worried. Also the machine might see 10-20 hrs a year.
For now the bolts and pad holding it. I can no longer weld bigger projects due to being unsteady hands. I have neighbors who come over using my welders when they can. Beer involved.
You can’t see a tractor for all the junk on it. Truer words have never been spoken!! Love all your projects and enjoy watching the videos. 👍🏼
Thanks for the support. There is a method to the madness. 😊
Nakusp! Love that town. Greetings from Peachland.

Nothing nicer sounding than those big diesels. It’s been snowing ever since I brought it up so it might take some time for the D2
Man I could retire again by selling all that D2 scrap good work Milt.
Started pulling that total junk off today.

did you weld the track link that you torched or are the bolts all that is holding it?
