i thought this was gonna be a video comparing strive's character designs to xrd's for a sec but was surprised by something FAR MORE SINISTER (better).
You can't say Strive characters got no drip when Xrd axl is wearing ass capes and jorts. That negates cancels out any and all drip in rd for a net zero drip.

Alright, I have something I'd like to ask about slayer. I've spent the last couple of months trying to understand and learn about guilty gear's lore and overarching story, and Slayer seems to be one of the more popular characters. But after learning more about Coolguy McVampire... his character feels kind of boring? He feels like the Ultra Intinct Shaggy meme, but without the humor. He never has to try when fighting, and nothing really bothers him. He seems like he should be the smug powerful villain who barely has to try and is then is cathartically defeated (Which ironically is exactly what Bedman was). But Slayer isn't evil enough to be the villain, doesn't struggle enough to be the hero, and unlike most mentor characters he doesn't even have the decency to die off dramatically halfway through the story! Am I the only one annoyed by this? Is his popularity based entirely off his gameplay? Or does everyone like him because of that silky smooth voice actor impersonating Sean Connery? Because that IS a really good voice.
honestly that "finally has clothes" bit was just weak shade, they were fine in earlier games, in fact, only a few characters' clothes are better in strive than in xrd, strive is too simple

as someone new to guilty gear that started off with strive. am i the only one that thinks XRD is kinda ugly? xrd looks really cluttered and hard to look at. i dont know, maybe its just me

I think it's really just a personal thing, XRD to me doesn't look bad, but I personally don't like how it looks as much as Strive. It also feels very cluttered to me with the UI being so intrusive, but a lot of people seem to like the heavy metal feel it gives.
